Viva Elbonia! Viva glorious mud!
4
Hmm, a loudener . . .
4
Gun Jesus bought himself a birthday present . 🙂

You get to shoot at the most fun ranges. That lever action was to die for, what a piece!

@ You have no idea what you are talking about, unsure if troll or just ignorant. Mr Ferguson is one of the foremost firearms historians in the world. When you have an entire shelf of books with your name on the spine, maybe you can comment in the manner you are, but you'd still be incorrect. PS: an M1 and an M14 are entirely different rifles, an M14 does not use clips and an M1 can't use a magazine. Additionally, 50 rounds of 7.62 NATO weigh almost 3 pounds, meaning a 50-round drum loaded would add around 5 pounds to the weapon, that's half as much again as an M14 with a 20-round mag. It is also bulky and completely unsuitable for use on a rifle. Drum mags are also notoriously unreliable. I have no idea where you learned otherwise.
4
It's a competition free pistol, it's designed to put 10 shots into a single hole at 50 metres.
4
Question, is there an owner who actually takes his (or hers) out and fires it now and again? OK, my question was kinda answered. Seriously tho, if you can't shoot it, why own it?
4
You really should have got together with Artur Rehi while in Estonia.
4
@Schrodingers_kid Because they are elitests. High Points are cheap, a little heavy and not pretty but they work first time every time.
4
@jeffturnbull9661 100% In something like .44 Mag it would be a lot of fun and quite handy.
4
Only one in existence and complete with documentation so of course, it belongs to FPG. Who else?
4
@BadBart64 Litterily a blast from the past for the Officers.
4
Beautiful rifle, I want one.
4
@shalafi4 Oh believe me Ian did! He has a few thing in obscure hard to come by calibers. Original duplex rounds do exist, there is a video on YT of some testing done by a YT gun guy a few years ago that showed the concept has merit so it can be obtained for samples which would make your job a lot easier. IIRC that was 30.06 duplex however if that is out there chances are a few of these will also still exist. Oh, and do yourself a favor and get a website and/or a FB page, (I can't seem to find either) I'm sure plenty of folk would love to talk to you especially if you were willing to look at reproducing some of the large caliber rimfire rounds as well there are a whole heap of pinfires that would be worth looking at.
3
@mikekelly3903 Which would indicate a higher than normal interest in firearms and thus the reason for possession of such a fine piece.
3
Prince Leonard of Hutt River has several and in fact his people train several nation's armed forces in historical cannonery including our own.
3
@mr.anderson9938 I hope you also throw your used car batteries into the ocean to recharge the eels. It's a safe and legal thrill!
3
dimapez "See that heavy machine gun over there? The one slaughtering my troops . . ." "Yes, that one, make it go away please".
3
Makes perfect sense when you put it like that.
3
CVA made some really cool stuff, I loved their cannons.
3
Don't wait too long, there can be many of those receivers left. There was only circa 900 in 2006.
3
That's a damned nice .223
3
The M1 Carbine, a PDW so cool it's still desirable as a bolt action.
3
@ApurtureSci Eric fancies himself as some kind of "expert" but he is demonstrating the opposite every time he punts fingers to keyboard.,
3
@doraran2138 His 350 pound women? Are you fat shaming? How dare you make a mockery of overweight people! You need to cease such discrimination, hatred and intolerance immediately lest we report you to YouTube.
3
Gee, I wonder which lost zero, the solid chunk of metal or the opto/electronic sight? Come on man, it will be the sight that lost zero.
3
@alltat No, this is an actual precision rifle designed for sniping not as as an anti material rifle. 1 MoA @ 1700m
3
Just thermal mass, the water turned into steam and was either just vented or condensed for reuse in a catch can. After every few hundred rounds you poured in more water.
3
@GreenBlueWalkthrough You have utterly NFI what you are talking about, do you?
3
Yikes! I knew I should be afraid to look. I can remember "three ohs" being 80 bucks Australian with ammo at $10 a hundred.
3
@zachdew9gaming985 I'd rather not have that opportunity please.
3
Um, eh? most semi autos have a slide.
3
Double the dakka!
3
This was Japan's Gallipoli and yes, the island is beautiful, I've been there a few times.
3
@hazzard8785 We can but hope.
3
It's as good as most in the day and good enough for an SMG. Not really spongy but the pull varied a bit from weapon to weapon.
3
That's nice! Looks expensive tho.
3
No, in artillery terms this is semi-automatic, as Ian said.
3
Seriously? Someone got a steal, what an investment!
3
The Wall of Envy.
3
For so it is written.
3
@stevbe1723 It is, Willys Jeep steering columns are almost exactly 12ga internal dia and are plenty strong enough for a shotgun as they were seamless tube.
3
@ Oh yeah I forgot, only 'Merica has guns. Silly me. :D
3
There was a great deal of respect for airmen on both sides of WW1, Von Richoften for example received a funeral with full military honours.
3
I'd buy one. It's an M1A but smaller and (I suspect) lighter. It's kind of a maxi14 but even simpler.
3
the main issue was who was allied with who. basically, there were two main factions of antigovernmental forces that stayed reasonably static and didn't like each other. However, within those factions there were many semi-independent groups who were always fighting amongst themselves for control of the overall faction. The Congo is a silly place, like Somalia on steroids. Our company was in the business of flying supplies very various international aid orgs (and certain others) so yes, anyone who shot at you was basically a bad guy. @smolkafilip
3
We did yesterday.
3
Not a light machine gun Stop comparing apples and oranges.
3
@Intelwinsbigly Did you buy one? I'd love to hear how it shoots if you did.
3
Way too good for Elbonia.
