She's a centerist If you want to transform the uk economy you'd pump money into leveling up the country outside London Frost is talking bollox as usual
1
The guy is as thick as mince and has been spouting Internet conspiracy theories
1
Why would they be scared of reform there just rehashed dregs of UKIP
1
The woman is terminally stupid tax cuts dont generate growth best you'll get is 20p in the pound 45 billion in tax cuts to generate 9 billion additional gdp bargain not
1
There the party of the billionaire class there's nothing in their manifesto that's good or workers
1
where not currently its a scare story to get you to keep burning fossil which became more expensive than wind energy back in 2019 before the energy crisis started.
1
Johnson was done for repeatedly lying to parliment Not for breaking lock down rules as usual with the blonde idiot it woz the cover up rather than the crime that screwed him over.
1
Reform have the same dumb economic policies that crashed and burned Truss so why would you vote for them?
1
there won't be blackouts its a scare story by the fossil lobby and there enablers so the gravy train doesn't stop Renewable energy became the cheapest on the Grid back in 2019 I've just had some renovations done and an extension and double insulated my house I can run it of solar and thermal solar for most of the time my energy footprint has gone way down The current barriers to it are lack of government long term commitment so the grid hasn't kept pace with innovation
1
Why is the chancellor of the exchequer taxing ordinary people to the hilt and not closing tax loopholes that his wife uses and why isn't he taxing the vast amount of unearned income at the same rates as earned. NI is income tax rebranded what's worse is there's a ceiling for the rich after which they pay 3,5% Just keep doffing your cap and tugging your forelok sucker
1
What ideas there for fracking its like an idea that's well over a decade old and just stuffs money in the fossil industries pockets
1
@katiewalker1880 you'll get a Labour government no matter which way you vote the Cons have pissed in the pool that much they're going to struggle to buy a seat. So it depends on how badly you want to damage the Tories for thier utter failure and lying incompetence, also the Lib dems want PR which is a route to more political diversity + with Labour you'll get HOL reform.
1
Better than the Cons at least we had working services and wage rises under 13 years of the Cons the average household is £1000 worse off
1
@donnaspeer2760 13 years were £1000 on average worse off the reason being Thatcherism doesn't work so how can it get worse. Austerity and Brexit are just adding petrol to the Tory economic skip fire
1
Why would people switch to reform its the same tired Supply side Economics that's repeatedly failed for decades, to see how out of touch they are they back fracking. Might have been financially viable 10 years ago but there out on the range with that one its expensive dirty of f*** all use to the economy and no one wants a well any where near them.
1
Renewables achieved the status of being the cheapest on the grid status in 2019 your literally pushing against economics here who wants to build a Nuclear plant at X3 times the base cost per Kilowatt hour. Only thing holding it back is Grid connectivity the numbers for fossil don't add up
1
And why would you trust Reform there backing Fracking which has no benefit to any UK voter all it will do is feed the Fossil corporations profits
1
what like not teaching them insulation saves money
1
Your still increasing borrowing so how do you propose to fund tax cuts? This is what blew up the economy last time there are no 2nd chances it will take years to just repair the Truss damage
1
@somethingintheair5373 the issue with Truss was the Gilts market and government borrowing If you want to fetch rates down you tax the expected excess profits of around 170 billion in the UK energy market @75 and give it back to all customers that don't own a private swimming pool
1
we won't its scare stories from the fossil lobby More renewables means cheaper energy and a more distributed energy market rather than big multinational players dictating policy and price Wind forward contract prices for onshore reached parity with Gas back in 2019 and Gas has been getting more expensive ever since
1
Reform aren't the answer there just rebadged right wing out of touch elites
1
@mariafuccio5237 why would anyone use spray foam? I went into this in great detail the biggest heat savings where from the innovative superfoil materials which look like the stuff you'd make a space suit out of. Not only that there cheap to install and last lot I bought for the floor was £100 per 10m roll. You'd basically save what it cost in heating within a year or so
1
Mogg is a Libertarian he's about as Tory as a member of the communist party
1
@johnosullivan3924 she's a Libertarian the IEA are funded by billionaire interests there is nothing they wouldn't do for a tax cut lie cheat steal murder
1
The scare stories are from the Fossil lobby they have been near on printing money recently A tilt to renewables makes the grid a lot more distributed its also cheaper but has higher capital costs against say a gas generator which is capital cost cheaper but way more expensive over time and is also a cash cow for the owners.
1
Here are reasons for your account suddenly being closed Money Laundering perhaps? Sudden Unexplained wealth? Tax Evasion?
1
China also has half the world's offshore wind capacity
1
Freedom to do what exactly? Money Laundering perhaps? Sudden Unexplained wealth? Tax Evasion?
1
May changed the rules so Asylum applicants couldn't work there sat in limbo for years by design, its set up for maximum political theatre Public sector pay is nothing like a household budget every £ they give the Nurses only costs the Treasury around 20p after the tax and spend merry go round as it wheels through the economy. If you take into account costs of agency staff and lost working hours from patient waiting lists the overall economic cost may well be net positive
1
He's a lying toe rag that will literally say anything if it's expedient
1
They shouldn't need housing if you process them This whole shtshw is because the Tories want it this way they've taken resources away from sorting these people out deliberately to create a crisis so fk em go put em up in Tory heartlands it's thier mess
1
Why would they switch to reform its the same tired Supply side Economics that's repeatedly failed for over a decade, to see how out of touch they are they back fracking. 1
@greyvoice7949 Same policies? there not rolling out an insulation policy there not taxing windfall profits there not addressing the housing crisis they've given the bankers another tax break? Do you even look at Labours polices?
1
Labour are barely left of centre Sunak is hard Thatcherite what sort of Conservative do you want?
1
He's a hard core Thatcherite the last budget was pure Trickle down I don't like it but if your Conservative what are you bleating about
1
who doesn't want fracking on their doorstep instead of a wind turbine?
1

1
Mogg is a Libertarian there isn't a Conservative bone in his body
1
And why would you trust Reform there backing Fracking which has no benefit to any UK voter all it will do is feed the Fossil corporations profits
1
@captango So we go with the dregs of an English Nationalist party in UKIP who where aiming to hoover up the BNP National front crowd with toxic rhetoric over migration and freedom of movement, no thanks
1
Its a fossil scare story so the gravy train doesn't dry up quote from octopus The energy network of the future Powerloop is a revolutionary way of taking green energy in the middle of the night and storing it in the battery of a Nissan LEAF. Using a bi-directional charger, the Nissan LEAF connects back into your home to provide your house energy during peak times when energy demand is at its highest. Using car batteries as energy storage devices enables us to keep intermittent renewable energy for when we need it most. This makes our energy system more efficient and moves us to a green economy faster.

1
There not illeagal till you process them Ive an idea we could rejoin the EU legal migration would go down to 200k as before and illegal would plummet to pre brexit levels as well
1
No its not I've recently double insulated my house through an extension and refurbishment it uses way less energy to heat and is on average 5 degrees cooler indoors on a really hot day. I've thermal solar and will get solar when my roof is replaced in a couple of years The air con issue in California you can put down to progressively hot weather and bad building design + if I wanted a cooling system over there I'd go with underfloor cooling and a reversible heat pump double insulation and run it off solar panels
1
@jackaubrey8614 superfoil or its equivalent is around £100 for a 10 square metre roll you can price battens up for the air gap yourself mineral wool insulation is fairly cheap and I used safety netting to sling across the joists in the floor. The big heat saving is from the multifoil it appears to cut heat transfer to a really low level
1
Uneducated older males tend to vote for nationalist parties Labour's biggest demographic are educated younger voters
1
@outofthetrash5925 points based systems are a waste of time we should be pushing for higher education standards the economy has normally needed more manual and trade workers
1
@outofthetrash5925 They do analysis of the polling data and the returns. The last survey YouGov did had 8% support for the Conservatives in the under 50's. With the minimum wage and school set at 18 over the Blair years education across the board has increased. Younger voters also grew up with Britain in the EU and aren't phased by freedom of movement or get triggered by dingy people. My parents were working class I'm not even though I've done my share of factory shifts and building site work when I was younger between University courses. Back in the day when the Tories didn't tax the snot out of students.
1
@outofthetrash5925 We want to improve the education of our own population increasing their skills not shipping in the finished product putting pressure on middle and higher earner incomes. I'm all for fruit pickers labourers etc.and free University
