@christophermonahan8571 There the billionaires media party they got nothing for the average person
3
not according to historical records
3
borders have 2 sides and we have 100's of international agreements to do with trade and all sorts, anyone offering a simple solution like send them back isn't telling the truth
3
The Blair decade the best economic record this country has had The Cameron May Truss Sunak decade and a half the worst economic record since the Napoleonic war
3
Sunak has already put up taxes multiple times, the tax base has gone up from 33% to 37% (that base has remained static for nearly 2 decades from the middle of Blair to the beginning of Johnson) and The NI cut was paid for with Debt The Defence spending increase was paid for with imaginary Cuts to services plus there's 14% cuts to budgets in the pipeline It's estimated that properly funding HMRC will raise 42 million, there's around 100 billion in fossil fuel subsidies, billions in tax loopholes
3
We haven't had a centre left government since Wilson how would you know?
3
It's same old same old dump on the young as usual
3
If your energy is generated domestically instead of from imported fossil fuel it's better for the economy Your also creating a lot of spare offpeak energy which will be sold cheaply, most suppliers are offering cut price rates for car charging if you charge overnight
3
@DD-zd9lw well funded services under Blair and average wage growth of over 20% V 14 years of Austerity and a negative -7% wage growth
3
If we don't follow the law then we are lawless ex betting scandal why aren't you complaining about the government not following it's own directives?
3
More Thatcherism no thanks
3
nothing like Blaire he was a Thatcherite
3
They shouldn't live up to description if they don't want being called it
3
JHB why are you so entrenched in it's my way or nothing There has only ever been a small minority that want INsane Brexit most of us would have been quite happy with a full Norway but Noooooo that's not stupid enough we have to be Stupider and have barking mad Brexit There's no such thing as a remoaner we've left you got what you wanted now stop complaining about it
3
@laurencesmith1435 private health won't cover preexisting condition It won't insure pensioners at the same rates as young people It becomes mind numbingly expensive for the government and the economy, you have low wage people that can't afford insurance ending up on benefits because treatable conditions are left to get worse. You have huge amounts of government money going to private health to treat pensioners.
3
Why does the Billionaire owned media want us to give up our human rights? The ECHR is the last resort against government overreach ask the Hillsborough families
3
Another Brex1t benefit didn't we tell you did you listen? quote from 2018 Historic examples include Britain’s decision to end the unrestricted entry of Commonwealth subjects in the 1960s, Germany’s experience with admitting temporary “guest workers” from the 1960s, and the US ending its labour program for Mexican workers in 1965. Drawing lessons from those experiences, the SMF predicted that ending EU freedom of movement and restricting EU nationals’ right to enter and stay in Britain for work will have precisely the opposite effect on immigration patterns to the one many Brexit supporters say they want.
3
And what is that then? This is just noisy clueless rich people shouting
3
Sham Zero hour contracts destroy proper jobs, they were a primary reason for mass immigration into the unregulated GIG economy during Cameron era undercutting domestic businesses offshoring profits and contributing to the Brex1t vote. There also being used to ship people in from the 3rd world on low pay into the care sector, either you want lower immigration or not?
3
Instigated a package of around 50 billion in unfunded tax cuts which would have increased our borrowing last year from 130 billion to 180 billion this spooked the markets all major worldwide credit rating agencies downgraded the UK gilt market increasing borrowing at a stroke. There was an associated problem with LVI's anyway the BOE had to step in and print money as we were at one point within hours of a total collapse of UK pension funds
3
@safc2951 It's a low wage economy it has all sorts of knock on affects. 40% of people are on in work benefits, it encouraged s the government to put public service jobs on the visa exception list. It's a drag on housing and not enough people are paying enough tax because they don't earn enough. We've gone from 40% going to university to 37%, the graduate jobs are not there either
3
If you remove FOM and run supply side trickle down economics aka Thatcherism then you need migrant Labour and if its not coming from the EU then your giving permanent visa's to Indian and Nigerian workers who quite rightly won't come unless they fetch their families. Over half the immigration total is dependants If you want less immigration change the economic model institute an equitable progressive tax system and properly fund Social and Physical infrastructure to create a demand side economy You can't have a low tax Tory economy without the low wage supply side labour source that fuels it
3
@williamdeypres1122 They also show there is no love for reform who are neg 60
3
Wishy Washy is a below average middle manager who's failed upwards
3
We've needed I'd cards for a while too many people are disappearing into the black economy, the lack of one was a major reason Albanians were coming over as the EU has tightened up checks due to security fears
3
Errr the US has the fastest growing economy in the G7 with +3% GDP and reshored over 1 million manufacturing jobs in the last 3 years
3
There aren't 2 Labour parties both are completely different after 14 years of declining wages and services under Austerity if you can't tell the difference your brain has short circuit in it
3
@brickie59 yeah and we got subsidised housing, free higher education, low tax from oil money and asset stripping + tax free savings Doesn't stop you moaning tho does it?
3
At least they won't crash the economy and send mortgage prices and inflation soaring with unfunded tax cuts
3
What like not spend billions on trickle down cr@p Get real
3
they were dead already Cameron is damage limitation
3
It reduces migration
3
Refugees count for 62,000 of the 1.25 million total also 650,000 dependants which is way higher than if we'd have stayed in the EU
3
Loosing FOM was a huge tragedy for everyone since Brexit the Asylum problem has escalated out of control seems like working together for common goals has benefits. But of course your going to blame everyone but yourself
3
@mikeyacson9542 if you want to get some proper facts on the subject search for The institute for government Asylum backlog they have an article and chart explaining what's going on with the system and how its being broken deliberately.
3
Brex1t the gift that keeps on giving
3
After 14 years average wages have fallen by -7% The debt has risen by 1.6 Trillion, last year they borrowed 130 billion and are spending 120 billion on servicing debt (debt was 1.08 trillion in 2010) also we have +8 million more population
3
@environm3ntalist549 average income for pensioners is 18,000 millions unable to both heat and eat then there's the 2 million over 50's still renting
3
I have a home solar batter system installed this year capital costs will be repayed in 6 years total estimated saving on bills over it's lifetime £44,000 why is doing the same to the grid a waste of money?
3
There an economic car crash hasn't your standard of living fallen enough?
3
More Thatcherism get real
3
@east-saxon in what way? Defunding healthcare training and the continuation of that policy from 2010 saw record recruitment from the 3rd world of doctors and nurses while our own graduates are going to Europe and Aus. The health policies have lead to record waiting lists with millions of lost work days. I can give you multiple examples of long term economic damage done by short term Conservative policies.
3
Same Con policies different wrapper, if you want lower migration vote for a party that invests in its domestic workforce not tax cuts
3
@TrevorTaylor-jk3ng Why do we need gold it was a non story. When Labour left office in 2010 the Debt stood at 800 Billion it's now 2.3 trillion. The last 14 years make Brown and Darling look like economic rock stars
3
There not illegal till you process them
3
He will be working from home Duhhh
3
Why? There the pro billionaire pro fossil industry fk the average guy party?
3
borders have 2 sides and we have 100's of international agreements to do with trade and all sorts, anyone offering a simple solution like send them back isn't telling the truth
