Evidence of the MWP, or indeed of the earlier Roman Warming Period, is obviously far greater in Europe because this is where we get our history from. New evidence from China and Japan giving details of the crops grown at the time are, however, showing very clearly that it was warm there too. Tree ring evidence from the USA and Canada also supports the case. Obviously evidence that it was warmer for at least two quite lengthy periods of time during the past two thousand years than it is today entirely scuppers the climate crisis theory and the vast profits to be made from demonising carbon and restricting its output through legislation. Although some scientists are in on the scam, very many others are duped into supporting it by the intellectually stimulating nature of the research and further coerced by the fact that unless they follow the party line they will very soon be out of a job. Ignorant journalists and hysterical commentators add greatly to the scam and its grip upon the fearful public. For measured accounts and citations of the facts outlined above I suggest viewers go to the work of Tony Heller and 1000frolly Phd. The skeletons of Vikings who farmed Greenland in places that are now barren snow-covered rock have been found pierced and twisted by the roots of the trees that were planted on their graves. The solar system, bound together by forces of gravity and magnetism beyond our comprehension is speeding and spiraling through space at many millions of miles per hour, passing through clouds of elemental particles the function and purpose of which we are equally ignorant. Do you not think it more likely that the earth's changing climate over the millennia is due to the effects of this awesome and ancient dance than it is to the piffling farts and burps of we tiny, concieted and frequently misguided humans?

Far too much of our natural concern and energy is being diverted to the issue of man-made climate change which is, I have now sincerely come to believe, exactly what "deniers" say it is: a clever scam created for sinister political and financial purposes.

Of course the chemistry of tropospheric refraction is sound, and has been understood for many years. What is not clear, however, is to what extent the nature of that refraction is affected by the introduction of increased carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The results of laboratory experiments vary. Of course ice-core proxy data shows that increased carbon dioxide emissions follow increased temperatures by 5-800 years, which is an experiment hard to replicate. Indications are, incidentally, that carbon only stays in the air from for five years or so anyway. It's not your fault you're the way you are. It's just the way you've been brought up.

People made money from producing them while ignorant of the health hazards and very quickly were persuaded not to produce them when shown the pile of bodies. Where's the pile of bodies resulting from C02 emissions one has to ask? After 30 years of threats and promises things seem to be going on very much as before, despite attempts to prove the contrary with smoke and mirrors and dodgy data fed into computer models and passed on to the gullible masses as facts. You want piles of bodies? Go to the 1930s when tens of thousands died in heatwaves much hotter and longer than those of today and when C02 levels were much, much lower. I agree with you 100 per cent about pollution. That's why it's such a shame to see so much effort being wasted on the carbon myth which could be better used in dealing with real threats to the well-being of the planet.

Our Serbian's model came up with the idea that carbon molecules vibrate in such a way that the heat of the sun reflected from the earth's surface cannot pass through them. A recent study using literally billions of chunks of data from weather balloons across the world has proved him wrong. This is good news but it has a HUGE mountain of embarrassment and financial commitment to the greenhouse effect myth to overcome before it becomes widely known.   27. Brian If the atmosphere is warming it is warming very slowly and in apparent accord with previous patterns. There were no reliable thermometers in the Middle Ages and in Roman Times, but anecdotal evidence -Romans growing grapes in Scotland, large rivers running dry in the 12th century - plus tree ring and leaf stomata proxy data -strongly indicate that it was warmer at both these times than at present. On the other hand it was much colder in the Little Ice Age -roughly 1350 to 1850. So the atmosphere warms and cools, and warms and cools. What part industrial emissions play in the current situation, if any, is impossible to calculate. Carbon is held to be the villain of the piece for some reason and while atmospheric carbon seems to play a role in retaining the sun's heat on the surface of the planet how significant that role is a matter of dispute when compared with other factors. What troubles me is that this carbonophobic scaremongering has been going on for over thirty years and so far as I can tell none of the computer-generated predictions of doom have come to pass, suggesting to me that the computer models are wrong but the scientist are so up to their necks in this shit they can't get out. What's more they are fiddling their figures quite brazenly, just to keep their heads above the surface.of the mire. It's all either a scam or a cock-up that's got out of control.Probably a bit of both. -

I will try to get my head around the science - but will it do more than explain the process whereby CO2 translates solar energy into increased heat, and retains it? I don't understand how the presence of such tiny amounts of carbon in the atmosphere can have such dramatic effects, nor why increased amounts of CO2 apparently follow increases in temperature, rather than precede them, which is what one would expect. Anyway, thanks for your civility. Normally climate change devotees grow quite hysterical when responding to my admittedly provocative comments. This is a fine sport, but not as useful as reasoned discourse.

I find it far easier to understand Tony Heller (cross yourself quickly and throw salt over your shoulder.) His video '100 per cent accurate climate change predictions' seems to fit far more closely with observable facts and my rather cynical view of human nature. I see no warming. I see no rise in sea levels. I see no glaciers melting. All I see is an impressive series of classroom models and terrifying graphs which bear no relation to what is going on on the other side of the window. I must be wrong. I'd very much like to hear your response to the above video, could you bear to watch it though.

Has news of the Connellys reached your shores yet?This father and son team from The University of Dublin have apparently proved beyond doubt that carbon-fuelled global warming is a load of hooey. You will be astonished to learn that all the models predicting global warming are based themselves on a model created in 1942 by an obscure physicist from Serbia. It appears he was dead wrong and that Albert Einstein, who published a paper in 1917 saying that the Earth's atmosphere is thermodynamically stable and self-stabilizing, was entirely correct. Carbon molecules do not retain heat. They absorb it in one third of a second then spit it out again to go on its merry way. This would go a long way towards explaining why none of the climate alarmists' predictions have yet come to pass and also begs the question as to why figures have been fiddled and multiple lies told by the media to pretend that they have. The Connelly paper is based on a five year study of literally billions of readings from weather balloons from all over the world. It is repeatable by anyone who cares to do so and all necessary information to this end is publicly available. If other scientiists come up with the same conclusions then the whole sick, evil terrifying con-trick of man-made global warming will come crashing down like a house of cards - and not before time. Little Miss Thunberg can go back to Sweden and start a family or do something else useful with her life.

The man-made climate change models are based on a model created in 1942 by a Serbian physicist whose laboratory experiments incorrectly defined the nature of gases in the atmosphere. Einstein's 1917 paper was based on a theoretical assessment of the nature of these gasses. The empirical evidence gathered from weather balloon data by the Connollys supports Einstein's assessment.

Rick White The damage is mostly the result of poor management by Green local authorities who have restricted traditional methods of bushfire control, usually to protect rare plants, insects, birds and animals. Name a single extinction event that has been caused by increased atmospheric carbon. Name one period in history when carbon increases have preceded increased temperatures rather than the other way around. The whole concept of AGW is based on false premises, exacerbated by misuse of computer programming. No-one disputes that the Earth's climate is warming; what is very much in dispute is how much increased levels of atmospheric carbon contribute to this.

  47. Herd immunity is the only sane option. It's working in Sweden and it could work in the US too. It is clear by now that Covid 19 only kills the elderly, the frail and those subjected to repeated infections. Many of the the former are dead already and those that remain can be protected and given prophylactic drugs. Hanging round watching the economy crumble while waiting for a vaccine is no answer at all. Already it is clear that this disease is not the big, bad wolf we were told to expect. It is what it is - and we should treat it as such and stop pretending it's something it isn't.

The statistics from Sweden speak for themselves - death rates very similar to other European countries but with very few restrictions imposed. You say you are a nurse.
