They wanted to make her winning seem inevitable. Even after Sanders was up in pledged delegates early, when the corporate media put the delegate totals up they would use all delegates to leave the impression that she was fucking crushing him.   23. Ps regarding, "only polling at 2%" Jill is lucky if she is even offered as an option. There is also a big difference between asking the question, "who do you want to win the Presidency?" and "who do you plan to vote for?" Pollsters know this and use this to get the answers they want. That said I don't even care what polls say, at least not in this election. I would consider being strategic with my vote if there were actually more than one candidate I thought was good enough to be voted for. Considering Jill Stein is the only candidate running I actually want to win there really is no choice for me this election.

I think the cops are just looking for an excuse to escalate the situation and that they would not hesitate to open fire if they feel they have an excuse to. I think the DAPL security guard that came out with a gun was an effort to give the cops an excuse to do just that and I wouldn't put it past some of the police to have known about him and what he was doing as he was doing it. Again, that white guy with a gun got off without charges because there are different rules for different people. Regarding, "I don't believe the protectors would fire unless fired upon." I would trust the protectors with guns more than I trust the police with them but as soon as the cops see anyone with a gun things would get out of hand quicker than is already happening.

I think that under Hillary the military industrialized complex would march on but, for example, I do not think she would have started WW3 with Russia in the end. That simply would not serve the interests of the elites in the long run. That said I was never going to vote for Hillary in part because of her stance on war and peace. I think these next 4 years are really going to suck but I think they are necessary so that we can get some real change for the better afterward. I never thought we would have a black President in my lifetime. Especially not one named Barack Hussein Obama but he won because of his promise of hope and change that the country desperately crazed. Unfortunately the military industrialized complex continued, money in politics stayed, his signature piece of legislation was a Republican policy, BS in ND was turned a blind eye to, the most corrupt option available was named to succeed him, and instead, not surprisingly people voted for change again. Even terrifying change. Trump is going to suck but he too will lead to backlash and change after him. Hopefully the democratic party offer a real option and not just lip service to the issues of the people.

One of the problems I thought Bernie Sanders faced during the primary was the fact that he has labeled himself an independent all his life. If he had just called himself a democrat all these years I think there is a decent number of people who would supported him but considered themselves democrats, are swayed by labels, and would only vote for another "pure" democrat. I like the Green label in that it does emphasize a couple important issues that are considered a high priority by the party. 1) Climate change. Anyone who doesn't believe climate change is real and influenced by man isn't going to be looking to join the party anyway so I think this is a legit description. Furthermore it differentiates them from Republicans who are pure anti-science and corporate Democrats who support fracking. 2) End the war on drugs. People are waking up to the fact that America is not really the "land of the free" when MJ is illegal and we imprison so much of our population. Again there is great difference with the fake left when Hillary loves collecting her donations from for profit prisons. I can see your point that maybe re-branding might do the party good but ultimately I think the problem is the fact that Americans are not very educated when it comes to politics and political parties. But in their defense our terrible media does little to really educate the public.

Here's the thing, even if they try to push the pipeline through later they will need to have done the environmental impact study that they should have done before laying any pipe. That is part of the deal and that is part of what the Army Corps says it needs. That can't be done overnight and it can't look good when completed.
