I'd rather be an outcast and lose everything than go along with something I know to be false/wrong. I proved this to myself in 2021 by refusing the safe and effective juice.

  23. Hypergamy makes sense in moderate amounts. If a woman's gonna have kids with a man she should make sure he's not a deadbeat. He'll actually work and help raise them. But demanding 6'6" millionaires is excessive, dysfunctional and selfish. I think women have a responsibility to keep their hypergamy down to reasonable levels. And if they can't then limits should be imposed on them.

  31. In agricultural societies having kids was a financial positive, a necessity even (labor on the farm, retirement plan). In industrialized welfare state societies having kids is a financial negative. Yeah there's the emotional side and your instinct to reproduce which can't be quantified in money but in purely economic terms having kids is a net negative these days. Until the economics changes I don't see the declining birthrate trends changing

They should just take the Middle Path and try to build up good karma and hope they get reincarnated as a man before seeking full enlightenment lol.

The second because she treated me decently but I broke up with her because I thought I could do better and was a dick about it. I still regret how I treated her years later. The third, I think about for opposite reasons - she treated ME terribly but I was blinded by the poonyeeti and tried to "make it work" and stayed way longer than I should have.

  43.  @minima7947  I was also listening to some history lectures about the industrial revolution. In 1700's Britain people moved from the small towns to the big cities to work in factories. There was a huge rise in drunkenness, promiscuity and out-of-wedlock births because people were more anonymous in the big cities and the old social control mechanisms of small town gossip and everyone knowing each other's business broke down. And what we remember as the prudishness of Victorian Era Britain was actually a reaction to this prior age of degeneracy. Nothing new under the sun.

For most of human history the average guy had even less purchasing power and social mobility than today. The boomers lived through an exceptional period and it's not coming back especially since the American empire seems to be in decline

I met her before their wedding and she was all sweet and nice and talking about "I go to synagogue every Saturday and value tradition blah blah blah". Ofc within a year of their wedding she gained weight, is nagging him, always starting stupid arguments, trying to boss him around... I feel uncomfortable just watching them tbh
