@jimliu2560 And yet they routinely do… The whole world drives them… and even smaller. Next troll!
2
@jamsu7126 Any real enthusiast understands that different cars exist for different purposes and that our streets and highways aren’t F1 racetracks. There are just too many stupid trolls on the internet.
2
More likely Honda is trying to stay competitive in the NA market in price.
2
@Cbo__25 The heated steering wheel was optional on this generation CRV from day 1.
2
@Cbo__25 I personally love a la carte options, though $500 is a bit too much for a heated steering wheel. The winter weather package at Toyota is $900 and adds heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and de-icing rain-sensing wipers. That’s a much better value. The reasons why I just chose a Rav4 hybrid over a CRV hybrid a week ago was actually Honda’s lack of a spare wheel and that god awful infotainment system. I think they’re well-matched otherwise.
2
Jazenkow In North America, Volkswagens are much more rare than Europe.
2
@saxambirsingh959 The 21 model did not.
2
Scotty went nuts 40 years ago.
2
It’s not a CVT. It’s an eCVT, which is 100 times more reliable than an automatic.
2
The Honda is for 18 year-olds who want a car that looks fast, but isn’t, while the Volkswagen is for the 30 year-olds who just want to have fun driving.
2
YasumotoUS You forget the major point of the R is its AWD. That’s what you can’t get on a GTI or the competition.
2
Brandan honda They do have many. They’re a world brand, more than any other, so they are less affected by trends like SUV buying in N. America, so they will keep the cars going, but on the other hand, N. America is their biggest market in profits, so they will add SUVs. I’m just trying to figure out what’s happening (or not happening) in their electrification strategy. Where are the hybrids or EVs? I kind of wish this GLB had a plug-in battery instead of a 3rd row seat. That would have set it apart from the GLA and GLC.
2
Not in my ‘21 XLE. Quieter than most cars. I think many sedan drivers are surprised by increased road noise in the back of CUVs.
2
Mo AV It’s actually the cheaper version of the GLE as well. The reviewer makes MAJOR mistakes in every video. He is not a car enthusiast and doesn’t do enough research. This slots into the luxury CUV category which gets third rows in Europe a lot. I doubt many will sell equipped that way in North America. Even Nissan pulled the third row from the N.A. Rogue for this year.
2
My 83 GMC Jimmy was smaller than a Rav4.
2
Get a different trim and it comes with non-black wheels and fog lights. With modern LED lamps, fog lights are pretty useless. It’s why all modern European cars have deleted them.
2
At $700/mo lease rates, these vans won’t ever sell in these trims. Chrysler continues to sell almost exclusively to fleets.
2
You can upgrade both for $150.
2
The fuel tank sender issue was fixed with the ‘21 model and the lost of changes is in the video, which you clearly didn’t watch.

@Whileweweresinners First off, the 3.3 is from readers, not KBB. That’s a typical score for all cars on there. Most negative posts are doubled or tripled, and most people who have no issues don’t go there to rate. Second, that’s for all Rav4 types, not the hybrid. If you look, actually look, you’ll see that just about all complaints are about the engine noise on the non-hybrid. I saw no complaints about the fuel issue for over a year there. So to your comment: Stop being a pathetic online troll.
2
My 2005 Camry has a molded (soft) plastic dash that still looks brand new. Hard plastics actually hold up worse to UV exposure and tend to develop creeks and rattles. The majority of the doors on these are also hard plastic and your arms/hands are constantly on there.

DSTY repeat after everyone else... TURBOCHARGED
2
Depends on the condition of it and how many miles they have. These are sought after, so they are pretty expensive. I just looked them up and the few that are around 60k-70k fetch around $12,000-$13,000.
1
Shawn Warnick Well... everyone likes premium gadgets. The issue is price. If it was free, everyone would take it. Anyway, the sweet spot for Rav4s is the XLE trim. That’s what Toyota sells the most. It’s the most value for the dollar.

TheBen Dover When a dealer cuts you a check, it’s a sale, not a trade-in. You get more in a trade-in and you pay less new car sales tax in a trade-in as well, as the trade value is subtracted from the new car sales total.
1
Yeah, those DI 1.5s with turbos sure are reliable (not).
1
ezekiel1hen Absolutely dumb people though.
1
I believe you can still get a FWD Jeep Cherokee 4cyl with a manual.
1
H engines always sound like that.
1
Yes.
1
One for each car they make. Those sell, so why not SUVs?
1
The B Class has been around the world for decades, just not the US, so it’s not much of an add-on.
1
It’s GTI, updated. What is there to say? It’s a good, fun car and the MPI system is good too. I’d get it with the plaid seats and a DSG.
1
@Seattle808 Not the new NX.
1
@jml9550 The 2022 NX Hybrid starts at $41,050.
1
@jml9550 But you can’t argue things that way. Options are OPTIONAL and it comes with AWD, a 12” infotainment screen and softex seats standard, so there aren’t many options needed and most would take you far above what you can get in a Rav4. The whole point is that a base Lexus is already luxury and starts exactly where a loaded Rav ends.
1
@jml9550 Who cares? If you’re not going to be honest to the argument, then no one will hear your side. If you equip them similarly, they will both be the same price, except you will have a few features on each that will tug their way… for example, the Rav will have a pano sunroof and the Lexus won’t, but the Lexus will have a 12” high def infotainment system, while the Rav gets an 8” lower def one. There are others. The whole point of the original comment is that you can get an NX at that price, and you CAN! Almost all Rav4’s you’ll see on the road are either LE or XLE and it’s for a great reason: the car loses value in the upper trims. Most cars today do as they don’t offer a-la-cart options the way they used to back in the 20th century.
1
@jml9550 That’s all fine and dandy, but your statement was that “a new NX will be $12k more.” That statement is completely incorrect, which is what draws others to counter it. You’ve got to differentiate between fact and opinion.
1
@jml9550 No… equally equipped vehicles is what you compare… or at least as close to that as you can get. That said, yes, one could order a Rav4 Hybrid for $29k. No theory. People have. I got my XLE with weather package for $31,600. That’s what the guy is saying… for the $41k that this Rav4 XSE costs you could get a base Lexus NX and they’ll be similarly equipped.
1
Where? They sell for $37-38k.
1
@winstonwinston3487 Except that’s the top trim and all the competitors sell at the same price.
1
@eddy67 It’s pretty much impossible to find a Toyota dealer who doesn’t mark up a Rav4 hybrid, but the mark ups are about $2k+, depending on the trim. Even before covid they sold at MSRP most of the time. The demand was that high. I’m talking about the US.
1
@ciello___8307 100%! Jeep is the only successful brand at FCA in North America right now. Even Ram is dead, with only the pick-up being an American-sourced model.
1
@atvroller7021 Fiat doesn’t own them. Stellantis does.
1
The package is absolute shit on both cars and isn’t actually useful. It makes the cars look like a 7 year-old played Legos with them and the extra height looks awful with the tiny wheels in comparison to wheel arches. The random matte black cladding, the random pumpkin (no, it’s not copper) accents are bewildering and putting on extra black plastic, but then put on extra silver plastic under it (in front) is moronic. No one with this package will go off-road and anyone who spends extra money on this is automatically stupid in my book. Dealers already offer all the underside protection in steel or aluminum and you can adjust your suspension with very inexpensive spacers or an actual lift kit.
1
With my ‘21 XLE the break-even is 2.5 years.
1
@ Yes, but at 60k miles they’re already abused maintenance nightmares.
1
Their SUVs are named after their sedan classes they’re based on by size, with a GL added in front. Wanna guess where the GL comes from?
1
Paul O The FCA Tigersharks work just fine. The rest of the car is the problem though.
