Good luck with that. It would take over a decade easily to move all those factories back and train the engineers to run them. Can you go without electronics for a decade?
5
@susysamalex Double-jabbed dying much less and many fewer in hospital. See also: the US and the number of anti-vax conservatives biting the big one after getting the Rona.
5
Or perhaps politicians should choose their words wisely. After 18 months of worldwide horror and a catastrophic death toll in the UK, using the word 'cower' was not appropriate. Imagine Churchill said 'Don't cower from the Germans, run and stick your lights on, is okay if a few of you get bombed, you're probably old anyway...'
5
Which in turn caused more homelessness and increased property prices, so overall the only ones who benefited were the rich.
5
Oh dear, dear me.
5
Why, he's a sociopath?
5
@Mark and Eileen And what do you do when the Chinese and Indian middle class keep buying petrol cars and the supply of liquid fuel hits limits so the price of said liquid fuel explodes?
5
Well he's clearly a bit confused about history if he thinks his granddad fought in the war so Neil could be a disease spreader and front man on a fascist TV channel.
5
We're not melting down, we're groaning at the sub-par 1984 style drivel on here.
5
@alpharajan Vaccines are currently working okay against it. Letting it spread won't work if you get different variants as natural immunity won't hold. I mean how many colds and flu have you had in your life?
5
@joejoe7702 'Embarassing yourself' - then you tell me PCR tests are useless (they're not). No Britain didn't say it would tolerate 750,000 dead before locking down, either. Aus and NZ will vaccinate - hence immunity at better levels than the natural equivalent. Please stop getting your information from Facebook memes and anti-lockdown goblins.
5
@anthonydowling3356 Have fun when you overdose on zinc, mate.... or deplete your copper levels... or get kidney stones from too much Vit D in pill form....
5
Yes it must be terrible having freedom and not being sick with the Rona.
5
@colincharlton9339 Yes, like our own fascists.
5
@bongeyedbill9355 The guy who did this was apparently the son of a foreign government official. Pretty sure we don't deport foreign government officials on the off-chance their kids might be psychopaths.
5
Oh look, Nige is moaning about immigrants. What a surprising turn of events!
5
You think Sky owned by Rupert Murdoch and the BBC who suck up to Boris are somehow in cahoots to conspire against poor Brexiteers?
5
Irony time: In the 1980s mainstream comedy was full of Tory-supporting comics and their stuff was seen as horribly dated by the kids. Thus rose Alternative Comedy. At the time the press were railing against 'unfunny lefty comedians' seemingly with no understanding that a) A lot of the alt-comics weren't that lefty (Rowan Atkinson for example) and b) Rik Mayall was considerably funnier than Tarby etc. Now those kids have grown into miserable boomers and are on the Internet pretending proper comedy is all the stuff they loathed as teenagers. The circle of life continues...

Yep, key workers keep the country running. Remember in the pandemic when your local supermarket workers were doing their jobs while 'Sir' Alan Sugar was sitting in his mansion in Florida? Then when covid dropped in the summer 'Sir' Alan jetted back and demanded everyone go back to the office now? If 'Sir' Alan and his ilk were all zapped by Thanos the rest of the country would shrug and keep doing exactly the same. If the key workers went we'd be in the middle-ages in three months.
5
@graemebarriball303 Don't forget tabloid columnists. The most overpaid job imaginable. They sit round reading the DM or Express, pick out a headline then write 500 words about 'Down with this sort of thing' which is then turned into proper English by a subeditor... and they get a couple of hundred grand for that.
5
If Annabel had been around in the 70s would she be arguing employers can't pay men the same as women? Because that was being argued then but I bet Annabel has benefited from those laws and doesn't believe she's worth less than a man.
5
@MetalMinxtress Its not sucking off the taxpayer, its getting tax back you pay out. Think of it this way, if you paid house insurance and got burgled, would you be a scrounger if you make a claim? No. Why? Because you've paid in, your part of the deal is done, their part is to pay you out.
5
@justintrollope7544 Masks have been used for decades. I've never read anywhere about doctors all dropping dead from Mask-mange or Intel having to shut down a plant because their mask-wearing engineers snuffed it. Really you people are trying to create your own reality of bullshit. Its incredibly irritating to listen to you drone on with the same nonsense every day.
5
Can someone give a list of those laws that need scrapping? Because last time I checked things like safety rules, laws on clean water and laws on working time were all pretty useful.
5
@34bally Have you considered how many kids will get long covid or inflammatory disorder or organ damage? Your kids may be fine, others... not so much.
5
Maybe if conservative white people didn't spend all their time saying racism wasn't real then we wouldn't need this stuff? Maybe the behaviour of conservatives shows why the kneeling gesture is a thing?
5
Yeah, like zero Sars was impossible, too... oh, that's right, there hasn't been an outbreak of Sars in years.
5
Oh I dunno, a giant pandemic that's wiped out millions is a pretty big warning for us to buck up our ideas.
5
You mean Texas that forgot to weather proof their power infrastructure so it shut down in the cold and was recently failing in the heat, too.
5
Tony 'Climate change isn't happening, I have no idea where all these droughts and mice plagues are coming from' Abbot?
5
@Lachry Matory I think you'd know if one of them happened as well. A small parade of refugees is not an invasion. Again, wait a few years for climate collapse to kick in, then you'll see what an invasion looks like...
5
Back in the day people in Britain used to fight and kill each other over being protestant or catholic. Everyone forgets this little bit of our history which only lasted... hundreds of years.
5
Because we had a giant world war that defeated fascism and we don't want fascism to come back so now we're a bit more tolerant of people from other races & religions?
5
@fishcfc Do you understand that if people don't earn enough to live then the economy suffers? Can you not get this simple fact into your libertarian-addled brain?
5
He won't because while he has a small percentage of gammons worshipping him, the rest of the populace have seen through his grift and know he's a conman.
5
Last year we were failing everyone so it evens out in the end.
5
Javid is a Ayn Rand fan. He'll do the 'freedom' thing, then the economy will tank, then he'll say its because of socialism and if only we could privatise that nasty NHS thing.... These scumbags are as easy to read as a Ladybird book.
5
If we were a proper society we wouldn't have homeless people - everybody would have a place and those with mental health problems would get treatment. Homelessness is a sign of political failure.
5
Plus he has almost the entire press behind him in the most sycophantic way. Is all very banana republic.
5
Isn't English DNA more a mix of French, Nordic, German, Southern European and a few others?...
5
Does that include Donnie who banged a porn star while his wife was pregnant? The same Donnie who rarely paid his bills? The same patriotic Donnie who got down on his knees and fellated Putin (metaphorically) and oversaw a vast rise of far-right violence in his own country?
5
Alex forgets that a lot of poor people cannot afford to go abroad and if they have a holiday it'll be a few days at Pontins or something using vouchers. Those who live in a wealthy bubble rarely understand what it's like to be poor.
5
Grow up. Almost every person in this country over the age of 40 still has their BCG scar. You know what they don't have? TB. Imagine you muppets were around in the 40s - "Oh no, the BCG is child abuse, we should let healthy kids get consumption, at least they won't be fat then'...
5
He was a war hero a few years ago and now we all hate him. Is funny how the Brits loathe those the media tells them to.
5
It's not sense if it involves a middle-aged bloke arguing that he should be allowed to spread a pandemic virus. He's also against masks but for some reason has a scarf surgically attached to his neck. What's that about?
5
@stojmonster So why is he scared of masks then? If he's happy to scarf up why it is an infringement of his liberty to have a face covering during a disease outbreak?
5
Is that the same faith where people ignore all his teachings and support hurting others? Whether it be pervy priests or lying politicians causing wars or just plain ol' 'Christians' who are happy to see others die.... religion has a bit of a problem, doesn't it?...
4
Which is what the Tories are doing. Have you heard the news today about the dodgy PCR company paid £120 million? Someone in government should be prosecuted for that.
4
She's given us far more facts than this channel has. She's pretty decent and knows her stuff.
4
You mean all those who voted for him, then later voted for Boris and are now moaning about how rubbish the Tory party is? The rest of us knew.
