@slimytoad1447 No party is going to be a perfect fit for a single individual but understanding the ideologies behind the parties, it's hard to see how the working class ever thought the Tories represented them except in sowing division and encouraging prejudice, and using false notions of patriotism. I suppose in boom times when things seemed to be improving economically, the Tories' philosophy of individuals getting on by hard work would seem valid at the time, but booms are often followed by busts, and who carries main burden of those - the working class. Not voting is no answer. The non voters are just an ignored section of the population.

What a stupid woman to think boredom would drive immigrants back to where they came from.
1
Needs must.

The UKIP party had a purple version of the British flag with a pound sign on it, and GB news itself uses a distorted version of the British flag. I don't remember a great hoo ha about that. This whipped up hysteria about the colours of the England cross of St George on the England kit is fake.
1
Labour will get it out, if it gets the chance.
1
You voted for it so don't be miserable, vote differently. Your culture is not going away if you have it. Dubai is basically a desert with soulless materialistic infrastructure on top. In Dubai your culture does not apply, your democratic freedoms don't apply.

Clarke was always anti-union. He regarded unions as self-interested groups. He didn't see any benefits in them at all, although unions often defend standards that affect public safety and welfare. What's happened to his right eye? It looks infected or damaged, and he's lost a tooth - maybe had a fall?
1
No it's not treason. The government trying to force them to break the law is the problem. The civil service code forbids them from breaking the law. Can't believe how ignorant GB News viewers are but they are likely to stay that way by watching GB News and shysters like Rees Mogg.
1
@Peter-uy3ti No they are not. They are resisting breaking the law. Your ignorance needs looking at.
1
Laurence Fox is limp brained.
1
@cun7us Farage is essentially a fascist by inclination.
1
No.
1
Jacob Rees Mogg is such a shyster. He's stating that civil servants should carry out the lawful policy of the government completely ignoring the fact that the Rwanda policy is undoubtedly unlawful. Even Braverman, The Minister responsible for it, has admitted this. Rees Mogg likes to try and pull the wool over his audience's eyes for the sake of his own agenda. Shyster.
1
He lived in 'McCartney and Stone' flats? Well now we know what Paul and Mick Jagger got up to in their spare time.

Is saying Tory voters don't deserve to be resuscitated the same as saying she wouldn't do it? Probably not, but she would not be trusted as a nurse after saying that. If you want to be better than the left though (as Dan Wootton says), then treat the NHS better and fund it better to do its job.
1
JRM would always want to scrap the BBC licence no matter what the excuse. Lineker is just the latest excuse. I mean, good heavens, we wouldn't want a TV station capable of holding the government to account, would we?
1
Trump probably wouldn't even know who Nicola Sturgeon was. Someone must have fed him those lines. I wonder who?
1
@johnn278 Ah yes. I forgot about the golf course connection.
1
Resolving a dispute doesn't just depend on one person. It's more democratic than that.
1
Or they could be saying frack off.
1
But we don't need more ignoramuses and noodle brains.
1
Perhaps GB News is failing because listening to w*nkers stroking each others egos isn't entertaining.
1
@@SimonWeston-ms9vs That's not logical. How is a lack of knowledge related what someone wants or doesn't want.
1
She was a very rigid thinker or stubborn if you like. She didn't let facts or evidence or failure of her policies change her mind
1
I don't know, but Shaun Bailey's hopes of becoming London Mayor are already over.
1
Putin is a mafia like kleptocrat. That's what he's about. Holding onto power for his own interests, a bit like the Tories.
1
I think it may be in light of a recent survey that found a lot of NHS staff were experiencing racism in the NHS. They don't have enough staff and need to keep hold of those they have.
1
Doesn't realise that there's less democracy out of the EU because it's other countries that will dominate your economy instead, some of them very unsavoury, or small cabals with in the Tory Party with very particular and vested interests (such as hedge funds) which have nothing to do with the interests of the British public. Also he wasn't asked how he was managing now that he can't get enough staff since Brexit.
1
Dozens (plural) is more than one dozen, so two qualifies as dozens unless you are making up your own language. The civil service doesn't deliberately set out to stymie the agenda of the Tories. They just can't be expected to put themselves in jeopardy by breaking the law. Breaking the law is against the government approved Civil Service Code as well as being against the law of course. Strangely the so called party of 'law and order' seems to have no moral qualms about breaking the law themselves. GB News presenters are thick or biased or probably both. Yes Minister is entertainment, not reality.
1
As far as I know she's never suggested anyone should be shot.
1
@farmerned6 When did she support Hamas? As for supporting the IRA, she distanced herself from that support in 2017 when asked about it saying her views had changed since 1984 and MI5 had changed. Supporting any side at that time, including the British side would have meant supporting shooting.
1
You aren't paying him to give us his opinions. His opinions were given in his own time and not through the BBC. He's not a political journalist for the BBC so there's no conflict of interest. The BBC has not banned even political pundits like Andrew Neil from giving their political opinions outside the BBC as Andrew Neil was editor of the right wing magazine The Spectator at the same time as he worked for the BBC. It's hypocrisy by the BBC

He was a 'guarantor' who 'guarantees' the loan.
1
No, but Israel is stealing land that does not belong to them.
1
@thomasrobert4654 It's not the doctors destroying it. They accepted it long ago, but you do know that GPs are small business people contracted to work for the NHS don't you? It has always been that way since the creation of the NHS.
1
The title is inaccurate. I don't think schools tell children that they are born in the wrong body. That feeling comes from some children themselves.
1
The Freedom of the City of York is bestowed by the City. The Sussex titles were bestowed by the Queen, not by Sussex.
1
But GB news uses a distorted version of the British flag and UKIP used a purple and yellow version with a pound sign in the middle. I don't remember a huge outcry against those.
1
For indigenous people it's easier to get off the streets because they have access to free public services to help them if they want it.

Lee Anderthal was part of the Tory government that was in power for 14 years.
1
@fidelitysmart9526 Shaun is quite thick and just parrots the government line. He also wasn't above smearing in his opponents with untruths.
1
@fidelitysmart9526 As I said, Khan increased stop and search (for knives). Shaun Bailey was against that, calling it racist. Then Shaun u turned on that when he stood for Mayor as he realised it would not be a popular view. It was always going to be more difficult to fight knife crime in a period of austerity when the Tories had cut the central grants to local authorities by up to 80% and cut police budgets resulting in a reduction of 20,000 police. As well as that budget cuts resulted in the closure of many projects designed to keep youths off the streets. At the same time youth unemployment increased and many unemployed youths turned to selling drugs as a means of earning a living which brought them into gangs and gang culture.
1
@fidelitysmart9526 No I mean Shaun Bailey. I actually saw a video on youtube which covered a live session of the GL Assembly with Khan proposing extra stop and search and Bailey essentially inferring that operationally it was racist. I'll try to find it again but it was quite a long time ago. At least a couple of years I'd say. Here's one short clip but it's not the one I'm looking for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X14hnYbd0Tk
1
@fidelitysmart9526 Here is the record of the London Assembly discussion Jan 18th 2018. I can't find the video at the moment, but in the video you see Bailey questioning Khan. In the record you'll see that Bailey's main concern was that black kids would not be overly targeted in stop and search. https://www.london.gov.uk/questions/2018/0171 Here is a relevant extract: Shaun Bailey AM: Mr Mayor, can you guarantee young black men in London will not be targeted excessively by the police? (Sorry I can't seem to get the full extract into youtube but if you find the above sentence in the text it follows on from there.)
1
@fidelitysmart9526 Here's the video. See from 29:26 for Bailey's question. Khan says the police will stop and search whoever is suspected of carrying a knife (and since black youngsters are the ones most involved he can't guarantee that searches will not be more on black youths, but he can't say that as Bailey will accuse him of racism. Also it's up to the police at operational level who they check, in line with reasonable suspicion. It's not up to Khan which is another reason why he can't give a guarantee.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0qXLphyI0s

@torqueofthedevil8145 Trump takes no notice of anyone who can't advance his own interests.

*conceited not conceded. (Who else is stupid?)
1
Nonsense. There are no such things as high tax globalists.

This is a pathetic grumble. Waterstone's staff will help people find books on the shelves or order them for customers if requested.
