No Free Trade Deal can be negotiated, in any case, without a prior agreement in place. Those are the rules, and the UK has so far rejected the agreement between the EU and Theresa May, and the EU has said it won't change the agreement negotiated with Theresa May. We are headed for a 'no deal' by 31 October by default.

Seb Fetea. It's not about emotion (hate). It's about facts. There have been interviews with pro Trumpers also but this one is about a current polling trend.

The US would like to run them instead. It's supposed to be independent.

Yes, go to jail.

The whale can only eat small stuff like krill. It has no teeth for eating meat and not the right digestive system.

Just wait for the banker's take on the NHS. Is he going to start by appointing useless but easily manipulated Dido Harding to head up the NHS? Next step, bring in more American companies who will depress wages or cut services.

Whoosh! Do you even understand what is going on?

@ott1186 Maybe shortage of space. Everyone knows who Macron is. It would not be easy to define his political leanings. Centrist I'd suppose.
1
@ott1186 It's a spectrum. She's always been far right on the spectrum. You just view it from your perspective. The BBC has described Momentum and The Militant Tendency, as far left, but Labour tends to keep those from being selected for election and the BBC tends not to invite them on its Channel much. I do remember, in the past, Dave Nellist MP being described as far left and also Derek Hatton, Liverpool council leader, as well as Union leaders such as Arthur Scargill and Len McCluskey and Jeremy Corbyn's aide, Seumas Milne. George Galloway is also described as far left.

@ott1186 You don't know my perspective but I'd say that the BBC has not changed over a long time. Political perspectives in the UK seem to have changed though. The BBC is not supposed to be 'neutral'. There is no such thing. The BBC is supposed to be 'balanced' but not in every single instance but balanced over a lot of instances. If you have evidence of bias, send it to the BBC chairman with your complaint. If more protest groups are labelled 'far right' that may mean that they are getting more publicity. You should be pleased. Not so much far left labelling because they don't get on the BBC so much or take to the streets to protest. Hard left is an alternative epithet to far left, and that is used too. It means the same thing. I don't get all of my info from the BBC and I doubt that as much as half of France is 'far right' or likely to vote for Le Pen. We shall see after the election, won't we?
1
@JTP_Trades Have you tried searching 'hard left'. That is an alternative used, but the hard left or far left have not been in the news in the UK much recently, since the Tories and Labour do seem to dominate the news space - the Tories in particular.
1
@ott1186 Well, write to the BBC and complain. The reason I say that neutrality does not exist is because even when people think they are being neutral they can and do have unconscious bias. However their actions should be balanced in the sense of ensuring that views from one side of the political spectrum are balanced with views from another. As for Extinction Rebellion, they seem largely like middle class people from the shires, unlikely to be hard left voters, - more likely to be concerned about this single issue. After all, no one wants to face extinction, if they believe that's what we face, whether they are right wing or left wing. Who is pro extinction?
1
@ott1186 The word used in the BBC Charter is impartial. Impartial means treating all parties, rivals, or disputants equally; not partial; not biased; fair.'
1
@ott1186 As I said. Complain to the BBC if you think you have a case. She's rather pro Putin is Marine. I wonder why the right likes that old kleptocrat and mafia style boss. Are they aiming for that themselves?
1
@ott1186 Here's an example of the BBC being right wing. An interview with a representative of the Scottish Farmers Union edited out a reference to 'Brexit' and his concerns about its impact on farming. I'd also noticed that a different interview on radio 4, discussing price rises blamed supply issues and Covid but never mentioned the word Brexit. I emailed the BBC to ask if they'd been banned from using the word Brexit. Reply came there none. I'm pretty sure they'd have replied if they could have refuted that allegation.
1
@ott1186 The independent ONS has just produced a report on the effect of Brexit on the British economy, eliminating the effects of other factors, and it demonstrates the British economy is suffering badly from Brexit.

@ott1186 Here's stuff that's not reported on the BBC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANzGwDxN50w and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHhjsgetenU and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3ApvYgLn9Y&t=148s

@ott1186 Watch Boris Johnson giving evidence to the Commons Liaison Committee. Towards the end he's asked about the cost of living, Brexit and when we can expect things to get back to normal. In reply he gave a load of waffle (grow more own food, global trading economy, encourage people to export more, blah blah blah, followed by him saying 'I cannot predict that'.

@ott1186 You're in Spain?
1
@ott1186 You think it treats him unfairly? Why should you be interested in the media in the UK if you are in Spain?
1
@ott1186 I've just been listening to the BBC news this morning and they referred to 'the far left' candidate in France who got 21% share of the first round of the vote. Bye bye ex pat. I don't suppose you have to listen to or watch the BBC or pay the licence fee, so your views are not really relevant.
1
Who he? Do you mean Ian Paisley jr or Van Morrison?
1
@mrsillywalk You are far sighted. 🌹

If anyone's a worse liar than Boris Johnson, it's Vladimir Putin.
