@garyfryer5334 Women are 50% of the population. If you can't cope with that what kind of man are you?

To be fair all the leaders were given a good grilling. I don't think anyone was let off the hook. Boris Johnson will waffle on and take up all the air time if he's allowed. Compared to attending a public school I'm sure he found the audience no problem to deal with. When under pressure he tends to be economical with the truth anyway which is a get out strategy for him.
1
Boris is afraid EU and US treaty will take priority and squeeze him out.
1
And the Tory cuts in funding to local councils and huge cuts to police budgets with a reduction of over 20,000 police officers are not to blame at all? Lol London will decline under Brexit. I see Sadiq Khan is being set up as a scapegoat.
1
Oh for goodness sake, why are we so precious about the colour of the passport? Doesn't anyone know that we could have had blue passports within the EU? Croatia is within the EU and has blue passports.
1
@Adamstankevitch Years to prepare for Brexit? Businesses were not told at the time of the Referendum that it would be a hard Brexit but even if they assumed it would be, without knowing the government and EU arrangements for trade after Brexit, how can they prepare? They don't know what standards they'll need to meet or what documentation they'll need to have. The government has never told them and still can't tell them because the government itself doesn't yet know.
1
@friarjaxmost-holy.17.46 The only sane part of the government now, you mean.
1
SCOTT UK Some people are stupid. The Lords won't block a bill of a government with a large mandate. They are just suggesting minor changes to make it work more smoothly. The government is stupid if it kicks against that.
1
@friarjaxmost-holy.17.46 Good luck with that.
1
@friarjaxmost-holy.17.46 Good luck with that. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating as they say.
1
@Jerry C 2 rather nasty countries in terms of their current leaders and policies.
1
@friarjaxmost-holy.17.46 Huh?
1
@jax17.43 I have faith in facts, not in dreams.
1
@friarjaxmost-holy.17.46 Don't expect much from the Yanks. They will want to squeeze us for all they can and get us to lower health, safety and food standards in order to buy their lower standard, less safe products. I think boris will find he's only succeeded in shooting himself in the foot.
1
Chris Bryant has said he would take no part in the process. Did you not know that or are you just conveniently ignoring it? The majority on the committee are Tories, so if you think it's biased you must think the Tories are biased against one of their own.
1
He's done more than Boris Johnson ever did while he was Mayor.
1
How easy it is to make a mess of things. We have people talented at doing that.
1
@timmytwatcop8764 ha ha ha. I'm not the crying type. Yes we lost but I'm still entitled to ask questions. The future will still affect me. I notice the Brexiteers who won haven't stopped moaning about things yet.
1
@4x4adventuresuk54 Can't you see the illogicality in that statement? What do you think being screwed by the EU means?
1
@4x4adventuresuk54 What does being screwed by the Eu mean?
1
This site is full of bias and lies.
1
This is typical distraction technique. What you've cited is just advance warnings of risk. It's hardly in the same category as a near economic collapse in the UK only saved by the action of the Bank of England. The EU is always about to collapse according to right wingers. Is the pound back to where it was before the mini budget? Stop being such a pompous arse.
1
Woke? Well you wouldn't want them to be asleep on the job would you?
1
Andy Goldie Interesting that you are o.k with immigrants that are right wing. The Tories also British working class people by the way.
1
Congratulations for ticking so many stereotype boxes.
1
If so, it makes a change from the BBC helping the Tories. The BBC Chairman and Managing Director are Tories and there's an additional Tory advocate on the Board of the BBC. Isn't this just a case of right-wing whinging when they can't have their cake and eat it?

King Brilliant Because we don't accept this. Promises are already being broken https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24du25osgRY

I saw this interview. JRM didn't destroy Andrew Neil. JRM doesn't live in reality and denies it and diverts the debate from it. It's not just Italy that levied a windfall tax on energy companies, France did also, and Neil wasn't suggesting that Britain should model itself on the Italian economy. That's just JRM diverting the issue from the idea of a windfall tax, because there's no justification for not doing it when even the energy CEs are embarrassed and pointing out that they are awash with revenue and 'cash making machines' as Neil pointed out to JRM but which JRM ignored. Andrew Neil is not left wing either. He's not remotely lefty in real life but he knows the arguments to put to conservative politicians for a balanced or challenging interview and if they have valid reasons for their policies they should be able to answer such arguments without resorting to deceit and diversion, unless we want one viewpoint media as in Russia.
1
@johnmurphy9550 You think JRM would do a job on behalf of the people? Ha ha ha. You would also vote for the Reform Party which is perhaps even dimmer and lacking knowledge more than JRM and that's saying something? JRM is only concerned about the welfare of a rich cohort that includes himself and apart from gathering money he knows little about how things work including the economy. Those that know as little as he and who are impressed by his 'act' and 'nice manners' will no doubt vote for him. The Reform Party does not know how Brexit works.
1
@wayneb8596 Down to earth! Which Earth would that be? He seems to be living on a different planet from the rest of us.
1
@wayneb8596 He wants to reverse all UK laws which are currently British laws at a stroke. That would remove quite a few workers rights including the right to holidays and sick pay and maximum weekly hours. You're o.k with being a slave to the wealthy then?
1
@wayneb8596 O.K. I guess you are a fan. I hope your loyalty is rewarded by something concrete - some benefit you can point to.
1
This is a democracy mate. You don't persecute people in a democracy.
1
Rubbish

Bound to be divisions in a leadership campaign. I remember when Gove stabbed Boris in the back but all is sweetness and light with them now isn't it?
1
I think it's sarcastic/ironic comment because that's what Muslims often get told. She's just turned it on its head. Of course White Christians aren't going to leave. She knows that.

Trump's always right in his own estimation but what he speaks is bullshit mainly

Why do people want Brexit when there's no evidence that it will benefit the average person?
1
Denise Bond If you don't want Brexit, you must want Remain. Those are the only 2 possibilities or are Brexiteers not logical? The Tories have been unable to 'cough up what you 17.4 million people voted for 3 years ago because they didn't vote for any particular deal and there are different deal options so that needs clarification. Also the vast number of MPs know now that Brexit offers nothing to the average person but Boris's lot push ahead because it offers a great deal to the wealthy, corporations, money launderers, tax avoiders and financial speculators, who are Tory party supporters and in whose interests the Tory Party acts. The rest of you are cannon fodder, useful fools, expendable in the interests of the mighty. It's like you voted to deal with a broken finger by having your hand chopped off and even when people say that's not the best option or solution, you are still saying 'Nope, I want you to act on my first decision and the same for everyone with broken fingers who made that decision.'
1
Denise Bond Shouting doesn't help. The reason it's taken 3 years is because it's such a bad thing to do and everyone who's looked into it knows that and is trying to stop something that has no benefit for the average person in the UK.
1
You have to be an idiot to believe the spin on this channel. Where is the evidence that Fiona Bruce has been cancelled? Viewers complained by about Fiona Bruce playing down the seriousness of spousal abuse. Fiona Bruce said 'it only happened once according to Stanley Johnson's friends'. HOWEVER Stanley Johnson's wife is on written record as saying that he beat her many times throughout their marriage and that Boris saw that happening (so Boris was aware, of it when he nominated his father for a knighthood).
1
WTO Brexit is not a surprise to anyone following events. There isn't time to negotiate a trade deal with the EU even if Boris wanted to which he doesn't. Boris has always wanted a hard (no deal) Brexit as that benefits the wealthy most. Boris and the EU may agree a few narrow things in that time and Boris may call it a 'Deal' for PR reasons. No country in the world relies solely on WTO trade terms because it's like the 4th division of trading. The want deals with other countries because that's the Premier League of Trading. In any case Boris has already signalled that he doesn't want a deal by removing EU workers rights and environmental standards from the mandatory part of his withdrawal agreement with the EU, and he dropped them from the Brexit Bill. Putting pressure on the EU will not work. It has not worked in the past or so far. The integrity of the EU is more important to the EU than loss of trade with the UK. We will not be poor masters or rich servants. We will be poor servants of Boris and Trump and their ilk.

The House of Lords never intended to stop it. They don't when the government has a big majority. To think that's their intention is to misunderstand their role. They suggested changes to make it work better as intended that's all. The government refused to listen. The Lords then won't press that further. They leave the government to deal with any unintended consequences.

Pathetic comment.
1
@terrywhithouse115 I can't find his comment. Also I've noticed comments of mine were removed. Have you noticed that all the comments seem to agree with the presenter - no variations of opinion are to be found? Most unusual. This site is not open to democratic free opinion. It's just a political attack site, probably funded by some right wing organisation. It's designed to spread misinformation and arouse hatred.
1
You need physical evidence because that's what employers and other authorities will demand as proof. Just as today authorities still ask for proof of identity in the form of a recent household bill. It doesn't change the government's policy over who is given leave to stay, so why would the government object to doing that and allow their bill to be voted down for the sake of it? It's stupid but is it more stupid than the Brexit MEP who has complained that there will be no-one from Britain to hold the EU fisheries committee to account after 31 January 2020? You decide.
1
@TousiTV I don't think people will be sent email copies. It will just be accessible online. Some authorities will not accept copies. They want to see an original document sent to your address through the post. Also people don't carry printers around with them.

Other way round wasn't it?
