  3. This is a biased report. Owen Jones didn't make it black and white. He condemned the attack on Israel. That was the first thing he did and he listened while Margaret Hodges spoke whereas she accused him of saying nothing about the attack on Israel and kept interrupting him to stop him saying anything about the long term context for this conflict.

  4. Selling the family silver again. For a pittance again? Value for taxpayers or ripping them off? Dumbing down? Removing sources of challenge to the government? Putin sold off all Russia's state assets which went into the hands of his cronies, the oligarchs. Look how Russia turned out. No challenge from the media allowed now over the Ukraine war. I expect Boris would love that level of control.

  5. There is no special relationship. It's always been a British fantasy. Britain has less global influence now than when it was in the EU. Trade deals take years to do properly. The idea that a US trade deal could be done quickly is nonsense. We could not do one anyway without dropping our standards to their levels. The EU would not have to do that because they are not desperate for a deal like Britain. The thumbnail image labels Biden a traitor but he is not a traitor. To be a traitor to Britain, you have to be British.

  6. He's not defending the actions of HAMAS. He condemned the attack on Israel but he's talking about the historical context. The Palestinians would like some rights, same as any Western population would.

  7.  @allanarnold3619  It's already allowed on a voluntary basis where it does not conflict with English law but I doubt that those escaping from tyrannical countries and experiencing democracy will want to go back to hand chopping etc. A few might but they will never make a majority.

  8. In the world view of Boris supporters, anything that shows up his negative qualities is dismissed as lies, and anyone who questions what he does or what he says has to be slapped down including the media, Parliament and the Supreme Court. This is how the Nazis operated in Germany.
