Just imagine how much media time and government time is wasted in concocting lies and then disentangling and disproving the lies - time that could be put to better use actually doing some useful work that might benefit the voters. As Walter Scott once wrote 'O what a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive'.
1
Maybe he needs someone to shout 'You're fired!'

2:33 Are you talking about the R number which has to be below 1 for the infections to reduce or are you referring to the percentage increase in cases ? If the latter, what is the R number?
1
A mild mannered moderate rational caring man, scientist and doctor whose main concern is the health and welfare of the people, rather than to get Trump re-elected, is called a 'traitor'. This is why these people should never get near the reins of power again.
1
Where do your figures come from? According to these stats cases in the USA have already exceeded 10m https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ In fact you are at 10.25m
1
@arkatub There's no such thing as 'highly socialist companies'. Those are opposite concepts. It's like saying communist capitalists. Social democracies are the better option, as in the Scandinavian countries which come out high on the Happiness Index.
1
Trump must be one of the worst people in the world to work for. If any of the crowd gets Covid, he won't want that made public. Was Trump raised to dissociate himself from reality? He surely damaged his own support further by telling people how he'd asked for the Covid testing to be slowed down, for fear of showing up the true Covid figures.
1
The slurring and tongue thing may be the side effect of some drug e.g. a prescription drug. For instance, slurring could be from a dry mouth that makes it difficult to speak. Anti-depressants? tranquillizers?
1
Someone will make a film about this one day.
1
Didn't Trump also impose an embargo on Iran?
1
How are people still supporting conman Trump?
1
DeSantis doesn't understand what education is. It's teaching kids to think for themselves. They are exposed to ideas but not obliged to agree with them.
1
It should be 'come from' in the title not 'comes from'. 'Comes from' is appropriate if he only had a single idea (idea not ideas). Oh hang on......
1
Why would anyone vote for a useless creep like Mitch McConnell?
1
Even Republicans refuse to be bullied by Trump. Who is still listening to Trump these days?
1
Trump can't seem to cope with anyone who doesn't swallow his lies and kiss his arse.
1
Trump's robbing his own supporters now? If that get's out, perhaps his campaign funds will dry up. Maybe he doesn't want to spend money on his campaign because he thinks he'll lose and he might as well grab the money himself. If/when he loses the election, expect lots of legal cases against him.
1
She sounds like an Ayatollah.
1
I think Trump might argue that the stock market collapse is due to fear of a Biden win. That's what conservatives usually do if there's a collapse close to an election, blame it on their opponent.
1
@TheDrakeEquation1221 I think the human race has a record of progress. I mean we're not all still living and thinking like cave people so there's no reason to think that further progress isn't possible.
1
@TheDrakeEquation1221 I like the progress that Scandinavian countries have achieved. They regularly come high up in the happiness index too.
1
Jake Sangria No I don't think any of those things but I think you are being selective about the sources of violence you cite.
1
Jake Sangria They are not vilifying half of the country, unless you think that half of the country is racist, in which case I'd say you are vilifying half of the country.
1
Jake Sangria Bollocks except for the Trump part.
1
His father taught him to be a winner by any means, fair or foul.
1
As Diego Maradonna would say 'It's the hand of God'.
1
Trump likes to parade foreign leaders while he announces his 'successes' in foreign policy, but he is being played by them and he doesn't even realise it. They 'play' him because they realise how stupid inconsistent and untrustworthy he is.
1
Is he talking through his arse again?
1
Land of the Free?
1
Rand Paul, the man with his name the wrong way round.
1
@drugmoney4996 Ruling through suppression of any opposition and opposition views and through violence (potentially). Democracy is out of the window with fascists.
1
Trump is not a 'self made billionaire'. he inherited his money, and since then had been bankrupt a few times. Someone once calculated that if he'd just left his inherited money in a bank account with modest interest he would have done better than he did by all of his business activity.
1
You can tell Kushner is proud of everything he is saying.
1
Is this because many people are attracted to those they perceive to be 'strong' leaders, even though they are complete knobheads? Trump is certainly a performer, even though it's an act, what he says is mostly lies, and he says things for effect only. He cares not a jot about anyone but himself.
1
What, is he standing for leadership in china and Iran too? Lol
1
Trump is running out of time though.
1
@imavileone7360 Welfare is a social safety net, paid for by taxes - policies that protect the weakest in society rather than letting them starve on the street but it can benefit everyone, not just the poorest. For instance a welfare state would include state pensions, sickness benefit, unemployment benefit, maternity benefit and healthcare free at the point of use. Sometimes it includes state subsidised public transport, state ownership of utilities such as gas, water and electric systems.
1
Jimbus Rift Heavy regulation is needed to prevent or deter fraudulent behaviour and anti-competitive practices. Welfare systems are needed to prevent or deter revolution. Tax is the price we pay for civilisation.
1
Jimbus Rift Sounds interesting but isn't that the same as tax, basically, only taxing more heavily?
1
These 3 right wing media news shows are going to sink to the lowest common denominator in competing with each other for right wing viewers, and that's going to be bad news for the 'news' content of these channels and the people who watch them.
1
This is disgraceful. Isn't it illegal?
1
To paraphrase a quotation from 12 Angry Men, 'He can't handle the truth'. He can't accept he's lost because he can't see himself as a loser.
1
More of a pillock guy than a pillow guy?
1
Subtitles are amusingly wrong.
1
*well known
1
What the heck is he rambling on about? I think his supporters are so brainwashed they would clap anything he said. He could say, 'I've arranged for you all to be executed on the way out' and they'd still clap.
1
@brianw.5230 I think Bernie will survive for long enough. There are good younger candidates. Bernie is a trusted one though.
1
Those poor rich people. They obviously can't manage their money without handouts. They must be mentally defficient.
1
@armedwombat6816 Trump will find someone else to blame and sadly his supporters will believe him.
1
@Herzogluca Darwin's 'fittest' doesn't necessarily refer to physical fitness. It means the most adapted to whatever threat or change comes along. We are the only animal that can develop a means of adaption such as a vaccine to protect us.
