  1. Worst case scenario. Trump loses but manages to sabotage the vote or the post office so that the results don't come out or don't reflect the actual result. People realise this is probably what's happened. Violent protests erupt in the country. Trump uses force to suppress them and jails many opponents. Welcome to the Trump banana republic.

  5. I can foresee him saying the election results are fake when the time comes or just trying to prevent as many people as possible who might vote against him from voting. He will use Covid as an excuse for imposing restrictions that will make it difficult to vote.

An independent way to check the Covid death figure is via an 'excess deaths' figure e.g. comparing registered deaths from all causes over the Covid period with the average deaths over the same period in previous recent years. The number of deaths above the previous years average is the 'excess deaths' figure. The excess deaths figure is the number that is largely caused by Covid 19. At the time this was done in the UK the official Covid deaths figure was approx 45,000 and the excess deaths figure was 60,000. This seemed to validate the Covid deaths figure and if anything suggest it was undercounted, which was probably so at the time, because only people who were taken to hospital were tested for Covid. Many elderly people dying in care homes were not tested for Covid. Care homes generally got Covid from elderly patients being returned to homes from hospitals with Covid, without being tested.

I've noticed that the variety of videos recommended to me has reduced a bit recently. I wonder whether it's now recommending more of what I've watched recently and less of what I've watched in the past.

  18. Take a lesson from the UK Brexit Referendum. The 'Remain' position was expected to win, so many people didn't bother voting and Brexit won instead. They won by 4% (52-48). If you don't vote, you can't win.

  20. @Gary Laneve Well he said he won't accept the election result if he loses - so what's he going to do? If he refuses to go after he's lost, because he refuses to accept that he's lost, what actions will that provoke - or if he claims to have won but has won on the basis of some fraud ( considering that he has placed one of his largest donors in charge of the mail service, and is refusing to fund it to deliver extra mail, from mailed in votes, on time). If he also starts to believe there might be a 'coup' he could take violent action that might provoke a civil war. The man is unstable.

  21. The subtitles wrote 'rejected' instead of 'ejected' which is something different. Johnson hasn't yet won a vote in Parliament. In the Parliamentary vote clip, the subtitles should say 'noes' not 'nose'. The subtitles didn't pick up the word 'dither'. The speaker is saying 'Order' not 'Oh duh'. It's Colin Hall not Colleen Hall. It's not 'They just stay dead'. It's 'Don't gesticulate'. It's not 'Rent sparrows.Yeah tricks'. It's 'Don't rant. Spare us the theatrics''. It's not 'hey y'all' It's 'behave yourself'.
