Over 76% of C02 emissions come from industry and 71% is from just 100 corporations. No matter how carbon-neutral consumers become, while corporations continue to ignore legislation and governments continue to make vague promises we are doomed...

As much as I love a good laugh, we have daily natural disasters and authoritarian governments abusing human rights globally, nuclear proliferation has restarted, we have a surge in neofascism and the planet's on the brink of climate disaster that could leave millions dead and possibly end the species. Could the BBC possibly promote the news on the odd occasion and not just fluff pieces and Tory propaganda?

@e.d9424 Yea, it was the original Norman Lovett although I also love Hattie Hayridge too.

@e.d9424 My pleasure :)

We won't spy on you honest, sponsored by tech giants who have used recordings against their owners in legal proceedings... Director of Public Prosecutions Max Hill "Smart devices such as the voice-activated computer assistant Alexa could be star witnesses in court cases"

@Tao_Tology You missed the point and misinterpreted my comment. My point is that she has money and far better options than the millions of disabled, debt-ridden and homeless that have no choice. A lack of money is a primary factor in depression. As is stress and lack of sleep from working min wage jobs, including 12-hour shifts. Thanks for your pedantry though, it's always nice to see the traditions of taking offence vicariously, pedantry and pettiness still triumph on social media...

@Tao_Tology lol patronising much? goes well with your entitled pedantry and arrogance. Assumptions should be limited to those with the cognitive ability to make them. You obviously lack the reasoning skills to interpret language in context and would rather spend your life attacking other people's opinions than making your own comments. I've made myself clear on a few comments where I stand, feel free to read those comments and then think about why I'm not going to peddle idolatry for celebs when there are millions suffering far worse that the media ignore...

@meln704 lol the world you live in must be full of naive trusting people without a clue how billionaires become billionaires... Tax evasion and the exploitation of child sweatshops, while creating climate crisis and avoiding international taxation.
1
lol, Capitalism is the best resource management system ever... Industry predominantly causes climate change and then want to charge you more for ethically reducing their emissions...

@nick777forde It's a pity your ancestors couldn't count to 12, despite having 6 fingers on each hand...

@nick777forde If you're so desperate to have the last word, at least have the decency to think up something witty or intelligent...
1
@nick777forde Have I told you I'm right-wing intolerant? Sorry, it's a medical condition brought about by knowledge, intellect and decency...
1
@nick777forde So you're just going to use my comments as your own, and stick to not typing anything witty or intelligent then? Your pop psychology is about as well observed as a Yeti...
