I'm surprised such arrogant, obnoxious, selfish, self-interested representations of the human race are infighting...

Cancel culture as far as I'm concerned is a creation of the media who amplify tiny fringe groups to polarise the public and cause hatred of the left. If any lefties on here want anything cancelled please let me know, as far as I know, there aren't many people who want to cancel Benny Hill for being a misogynist...

@anglonorse2943 True, If he got a grip on reality it would be a pleasant surprise! The SS Britannia is sinking and Captain Rishi is in the casino oblivious.
11
@julianshepherd2038 When did elections become Britain's got Talent? You have a shallow view of what makes a good PM. His record speaks to his integrity, hard work and constantly being proved right, how did he look incompetent?
11
Definitely not a bot...
11
I'd be more surprised if we had proof of him telling the truth in parliament, even once.

@hopegreen9027 School teachers know better than to encapsulate whole words and use repetitive punctuation marks. The answer is to vote out the Tories. The larger question is how do we fix a corrupt system approaching corporatocracy. My answer would be a resource based economy, using sustainable materials, managing biodiversity, protecting ecosystems, local sourcing and making things to last rather than for profit.

@Andrew-vx2ls PS corrected my initial reference to show Evgeny's Dad is whom I speak of. Thanks for pointing it out.

All you people saying there are no advantages to Brexit... Top ten advantages: . . . . . . . . . .
11
@peterebel7899 Agreed and we are cash cows bred to enjoy the luxuries of debt and wage slavery.
10
@indricotherium4802 I don't mind going without food and heating so a billionaire can buy a new yacht but I'm not going without the internet! That's where I draw the line!
10
All we need now are some good recipes for bog roll.
10
Agreed m8, he's trying to pass it off as an attack on Starmer's U-turns, but that part is definitely a dog-whistle to the far right.
10
If you can explain why the good old BBC hasn't pictured Boris with a Russian ushanka-hat yet? ;-)
10
@jiversteve He's very trying :P

@timelwell7002 Not me sir, no sir, never sir, not me!
10
@markwelch3564 lol definitely but I think it's more about silencing the left in general.

@anglonorse2943 Quite a lot of it and agreed it should be investigated and corruption should be punished to the full extent of the law. Some of it I'd even call treasonous.
9
Agreed, we need renewable energy, self-sufficiency in food, production goods, tech, the medical industry etc. Asset-stripping the Union and our reliance on sweatshops abroad, Putin and Norway for our energy requirements, corporate tax evasion for profits etc have left us exposed and it may already be too late judging from the increase in cyber attacks, industrial accidents, troop movements and national rehtoric.

@philipnorthfield I think this little ditty I offered by way of apology was removed, so this text may not appear. To be, or not to be a dictatorship, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of over a decade of Tory cuts, Or to rise up against a corrupt government or by not opposing them. To die—as sheep...
9
@sigiriya5149 Yea, I like to call it apathy and social conditioning from our semi-feudal system. I was going to march on Downing St and demand the Tories leave office immediately but then I noticed a new show on Netflix to binge-watch...
9
Ah, here we go. Let me try to explain. Tories look like human beings because they are the descendants of a very anaemic bloodline that used to rule Europe in the good old days of feudalism and imperialism. Their DNA diverged from the human race several centuries ago and was isolated by familial coupling and has an aberration that causes their greed glands to swell and reduces their morality to virtually zero. While there are many similarities many experts categorize the Tories as a new species Homo Duplicitous while others prefer to use the term Homo Kleptocraticus...

@ellied.violet7372 Whenever I see Jacob Rees-Mogg I can't help but think of the 1800s and Whitechapel. Flickering shadows cast by an oil lamp post dancing around a cloaked figure. A scream piercing the pitch-black midnight silence that hovers over London like an ominous warning. Jack the Kipper!
9
@mariogmajner6549 That's nice, well done. You've earned your roubles, I'm sure your handler is very proud of your contribution comrade...
9
Conservative Ultra Nationalist Troglodyte Society - they don't use the acronym for some reason...
9
@korneldura7640 My reply has been filtered out. Neoliberalism is a misnomer commonly used to describe the political attributes of small government, privatisation, deregulation of the banking sector and high corporate welfare (Free market capitalism) not that we have ever had 'free market capitalism'. It was re-birthed from its 19th-century form by two Conservatives - Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher and has been the common denominator of both sides of the house in the UK and US for decades.
9
@tomfinney3416 Corbyn's on the picket lines right now. Kinnock has many flaws and so does his son from what I recall.
8
Reboot Rishi aka Reverse Robin Hood...
8
That's a loss of over £30 billion, then the Tories spend a few million on so-called cuts that don't even counter inflation and the cheers are deafening, gotta love the plurality of the media...
8
Tories are like a pirate ship with the cannons facing down, just let them fire off a few shots and they'll sink themselves. Unfortunately, this is mitigated by a media that act like a float to stop them from capsizing completely...
8
If only fruit and veg would just grow on their own and could be planted around council estates. I'm all in favour of animal rights too can't stand Faux fur, all those poor fauxs being culled just to provide coats...
8
@alexanderlipowsky6055 If you mean my initial comment, I suffer from late-stage terminal sarcasm.
8
@Soul of a robot AI or lack of IQ, all the same to me. I just laugh at them and poke them with a stick :)
8
I just wish the title had ended without the words 'Sunak's deal' and instead the words 'crowd of angry citizens'...
8
@charlesbruggmann7909 PS "Until the 1980s, universal provision of drinking water and sewerage services in England and Wales was considered a public health service. The water industry was privatised in 1989, according to the Conservative government's programme." So no you didn't pay water rates in the 70s and not until the late 80s with privatisation.
8
@leeeastwood6368 Struggle forges intellect, problem solving and evolution of character. Hence the Tories lack of these qualities!
8
@frogandspanner lol I nearly looked up that word for its meaning before I realised.
8
@kyorin6526 Agreed, I've been on an urgent waiting list for 15 months and without diagnosis have to buy meds from abroad.
8
@Geffo555 I have to agree, I am so grateful for the way Brexit has improved the lives of Brits all over the Union. How smooth the transition was and how quickly all the border, import and export issues were solved. I was especially pleased with how little money was spent on administration and how the UK's standing improved on the global stage, especially in Europe. There were virtually no financial losses and the pound kept soaring ever higher. The UK has become unified and we all feel a closer kinship with the world. It was like a dream come true and there were hardly any teething problems as you'd expect with such a huge endeavor. Not to mention the extra investment we now provide the NHS as a result. The Tories protected the GFA at all costs. They made a plan right at the beginning and stuck to it all the way through, for a seamless transition, without aggravating a precarious peace. While implementing border controls that were easy to understand and smooth sailing for all involved. So glad we didn't lose any of the trading deals and relationships that took decades to build. An all-around success story for the UK. Now all that's left to do is to sit back and enjoy all those wonderful benefits with a nice cup of Sovereign Tea and a trip to the sunlit uplands to feed my unicorns...
8
@anglonorse2943 I couldn't fit them all on one page so just listed the top ten ;)
7
@keithmoore5224 We'll be living in Fallout 4 soon if people don't start taking power back from these global megalomaniacs. Get your fallout shelter booked now with Vault-Tec to avoid disappointment :)
7
Red Neoliberalism, Blue neoliberalism - decscisions, descisions...
7
I think we should continue debating Tory lies and analysing the voting structure, lack of media plurality, corruption and cronyism. After all direct action like national strikes or uprising may be the only way out of a corrupt system, but another 4 decades of debate sounds like more fun...
7
@martinsnell72 It's an obvious reference to the Tutsi Hutu conflict as is apparent to everyone who has liked the comment. It's spelt Rwanda. Don't you have anything better to do other than complain about my sarcastic post that points out the inhumanity of the Tories?
7
@peterebel7899 Agreed it's the polarisation of capital. We prioritise profits for the rich and hence the system provides more opportunities for profits the more money (human construct) you have. The more money you have, the easier it is to make money. Eventually, the system ends with a few people at the top of the pyramid who use the construct of money to buy up all the 'actual' resources - water, land, human labour.
7
@andreasarnoalthofsobottka2928 I don't buy shares in unethical companies. I, like most working people, don't have money to buy shares. I don't want to be on their side and I'm not that fond of people who profit from the poverty of others. Financial crises are an opportunity for the rich to double their assets, for the rest of us it's an opportunity to be economically euthanized.
7
Whenever I see Rishi Sunak the phrase 'man of the people' springs to mind and words like beneficent, altruist, sympathetic and philanthropist...
7
Unlike normally when everything he's ever said may be used against him lol
7
@theresnobodyhere5778 The Tsar of Thievery!
7
While I agree mostly, I'd rather look it through Occam's Razor methodology. The changes are the product of intent - monetising his platform and reducing the influence of those without money seems the most likely explanation. Like many other social media platforms a reduction in content and opinion is carefully controlled and censorship is actively maintained.
