  1.  @robertshank9778  you’re the one not understanding. We have ways of neutralizing drone swarms. Moreover, drones cost money, even if not much per unit, so there’s a number where it’s cheaper to use other weapons systems to destroy a tank.

  3.  pinkie perky  range and tactics are based on what your weapon systems are and aren’t good at. Arrows are terrible in arching fire, and they are very expensive one time use weapons to use for effect. That obviously doesn’t mean it wasn’t done, but not commonly. Furthermore, the sources show/say most archers fired flat.

  5.  @joneszer1  everyone the Romans fought, except other Romans, had longer range weapons. The Roman legionaries’s basic fighting tactic was to use their scutum to protect themselves while getting past the effective range of the weapons of their enemies. Speaking scutum, they were actually pretty sturdy. They wouldn’t stop bullets, but they would eat a lot of energy and deform the bullets.
