  11. Real poverty in California is higher than Texas, and the reason is because of huge difference in cost of living. Also, the cost of living is jacked up by excessive regulation and taxes. As for the people moving to which state, it’s the super rich moving to California and literally everyone else moving to Texas. Furthermore, Texas has population of 28 million compared to California’s 36 million. It’s seem you can’t even do simple math because 36 minus 28 is 8, not 18.
