He said "at night" to clarify, so why bother with your comment except to chastise? At least he clarified. Also, some use pure metric or pure American measurements, but I find that stating both is great for all to understand.

  2. Why not look at increasing the speed of ships so the Suez canal is not necessary. Catamarans sit higher up. Maybe we can get container catamarans or trimarans that can go 250 kph as opposed to 30 kph, if that.

  6. All parties that believe in democracy are democratic. Taxing is an economic issue that has nothing to do with democracy. You can have a socialist economy and be democratic (remember that the US and UK did rationing, a socialist thing, during ww2 and taxed the bejeesus out of rich with 91% income tax rate until 1960s); you can have a capitalist economy with only tariffs and no internal taxation and be democratic.

If I were to make a political statement either to or in the presence of my company's client/customer, I could be fired, not have the customers called out for being r-cist by telling me to focus on my job. What did the fans actually say? I must have missed it.

  37. Just a thought, but I would think not having repealed the mandatory military service (or alternative community service) would have integrated the recent immigrants into german culture better. That and sponsorship dispersing would prevent ghettos, etc.

  38. Why are they so anti AFD? AFD is actually about the same as the American republican party. Checks and balances exist for a reason. Stop demonising parties - candidates can be removed individually for cause. The way other parties interact with AFD is akin to israeli-palestinian relations. Im more centre libertarian (freedom of's and freedom from's), but demonising just makes things worse.

  48. Luckily, democratic countries don't have politicians running the show. They direct professional career civil servants to manage the govt. Unfortunately, some go after the civil servants.

  49. Just a thought, but the AFD, if it were around 40 years ago, would not be much different from the CDU/CSU. It was the CDU that veered to the left; AFD is just filling the gap of the classic CDU/CSU.
