  24. They are not sanctions. It's a boycott ie EU self harm. A referendum is exactly what is needed. It needs to be independently monitored. Ukraine's borders are an artificial creation by Stalin and include chunks of Hungary and Poland as well as Russia. These boundaries were never viable. The Ukrainians and Russia should stop fighting and talk. No more money or help to encourage Ukraine's intransigence. Go away.

  31. Neutrality served Sweden very well for 200 years. Very bad decision which we will come to regret. There is a long list of problems that have to be dealt with. The country is of no interest to the Russians, apart perhaps for the island of Gotland. We don't need to be in NATO to defend it.

  32. The west has been squaring up for trouble with Russia since 2008, when some US warmonger said they wanted to get Ukraine into NATO. The EU and NATO has been actively provoking since 2014.

  34.  @Seitbp242  Have you looked at the Swedish figures for tax, crime, unemployment, inflation? That is not doing fine. The country is highly dependent on insecure IT systems. Turkey has done us no favours. Soon there will be demands for a two state solution as the country goes the way of Lebanon. There has been no public debate on the issue and the media have all gone along with the narrative of needing to join. The distraction is a godsend.

  35. Russia is way down on the list of threats to Sweden. The livelihood of a return to conscription in Sweden was never mentioned. It is significant that the politicians didn't trust the people to support NATO membership in a referendum. We will come to regret the decision.
