At that time, Black businesses were a necessity because Blacks were not allowed to enter white owned establishments. Yet, at the same time, many whites refused to tolerate a mass of successful Black owned establishments. Historic deadly Ku Klux Klan riots destroyed the famous "Black Wall Street" of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The successful Black community of Rosewood, Florida is another Ku Klux Klan riot destruction. Building successful Black communities had simply become too dangerous! Please read some history! And today, for better or worse, Black Americans are typically LAST HIRED, FIRST FIRED AND PASSED OVER IN PROMOTIONS! This has continually held many Black Americans down! Learn to deal with hard reality!

They had Black doctors, Black lawyers, Black business owners, etc. Two of the best known all Black communities were the famous "Black Wall Street" of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rosewood in Florida. They and many others were destroyed by the Ku Klux Klan. Many whites simply refused to allow the existence of successfull all Black communities! This is why Black leaders reasoned that race integration might be safer. What? You THOUGHT Black Americans could just build up successfull communities peacefully like other ethnic people have? White racism cannot be ignored!
