Land of the free? Fascist police state more like
136
Creatasaurus let me guess, c sections cost more money and for some strange reason America has more c sections than any other developed country in the world.
76
And ensuring they stay in power through divide and rule tactics, which the American population is only too willing to comply with
21
They don't really have much freedom either though
20
Creatasaurus even having to pay for parking is a bit of a disgrace
17
Suhaibab well she covers her hair, that's enough for a lot of people these days
14
George Carlin
14
@biswaranjanpanigrahy98 of course they do, they’re just a lot bigger and made legal
10
Because of no unions
7
Poet Cannibal you just need a Dominic Cummings. In Britain when you get stopped now you just say that you're testing your eyes, you've got childcare problems and you're following your instincts, and if it's good enough for dominic cummings it's good enough for you. This is what most people are doing now abs virtually no one is adhering to lockdown rules
7
@popopop984 a better idea is that it is compulsory to vote like Australia but there is much more freedom to get on the ballot paper. That way of you don't like the main two options you just vote for someone else, it wouldn't take long before someone realised the huge gap in the political market and filled out. The problem is our democracy does not give us the same freedom as our markets
6
Jo Millen thanks Jo, I'll be honest I was just guessing both of those stats but it seemed logical to me in a private healthcare industry where profit is the motive doctors would push mothers to go for c sections and charge them more for it. My brother in law lives in America his wife is American, they're having their first child and suprise suprise by c section. I'm pretty sure if that was in the UK it would be a natural birth. But you can't tell a lot of Americans anything about healthcare, they just don't want to hear it
6
WARTEAM DWA you're a muppet! they've conquered interstellar and faster than light travel, but their technology won't be able to negate bullets and missiles? Projectile weapons? we're still in the stone age, we might as well throw the rocks at them.
5
@BertGrink I'm not going to argue with you there pal. By the people for the people it definitely ain't
5
@InsufficientGravitas if more people used their spending power according to their political beliefs they'd change a lot more than voting every few years
5
@yama123numbercauseytdemand4 they cost 20—30 grand more and represent an improved revenue stream. That is the sole reason America has one of the highest c rates in the developed world, and paradoxically, one of the highest rates of infant mortality
5
@BertGrink what makes you say plutocratic
4
Negasuki you can only mine so many can't you? And plenty of people have huge operations in East Europe and China mining them using a lot of hardware and a lot of energy. To produce what exactly? Not a lot really.
4
ARandomDuck sounds like Mark Twain to me
4
ErikLegosteijn 32 fear? Of an unarmed man pleading for his life?
4
JQuery yeah I want to pay 5 grand to be swimming in raw sewage and eating gone off food. Nah mate I'll do my own holidays and have a better time
4
Chilled Soda now Trump is the defacto leader of the world they would think we were worms, he looks like a fat bloated orange worm with a wig on
3
I'm pretty left wing but I even I thought this was a bit of a propaganda piece. Still liked it though
3
girlsdrinkfeck give us a weather forecast and tell us about the aeroplanes in the war of independence
3
Steven Matthews so you use bitcoin to buy things?
3
@PapaphobiaPictures the Burger Kingdom had me in stiches
3
Serenity instead in the US you are arrested, tortured and killed for, let's see, being black, being a protestor, being a reporter. Yes, I see the difference
3
Mislav Kapac that's the one, district 9. Although it's actually about refugees and apartheid
2
Rhapbus1 I dunno, the aztecs probably thought that about the Spanish conquistadors when they arrived in their boats in shiny armour with cannons.
2
Ace Nallawar it wouldn't be a fight. If "they" came, they'd do whatever they wanted
2
@thesorrow312 all draped in the stars and stripes, sounds accurate af
2
@thesorrow312 it's not even a controversial opinion amongst a lot of trump supporters. Both left and right agree about that. Which is why there is so much effort put into divide and rule and keeping people fighting each other over politics, race, gender, etc. Because of everyone put aside their differences of opinions for a moment and concentrated on what we all largely agree on big business and the corporate lackey politicians would be in trouble
2
@potatoheadhaoy identity politics, right. Just another distraction to help us at each others throats and not there's. I think I actually did materialism when I studied philosophy but that was a long time ago and my memory isn't what it was and it was never that good in the first place. Guess you're not a big fan of bitcoin either
2
@palestalemale8831 why do you keep quoting laws like they're a universal truth? Slavery was law. Segregation was law. Adult males marrying 13yo girls is law in 28 states. Having to sign a pledge of allegiance to Israel and a contract agreeing not to boycott them and to buy their products in order to work for or receive any assistance from the state is law in 22 states. There are any amount of ridiculous and ludicrous laws, past and present. What is your obsession with the law and trying to prove that your opinion is greater than everyone else's youtube? Do you just like youtube beef?
2
@palestalemale8831 the problem with your argument is that one day it might be you and your opinions that are banned and you won't be too happy about that
2
@palestalemale8831 and tbh I couldn't care less if people don't like me. Most people are idiots.
2
@potatoheadhaoy definitely a troll, not very good at it either. Stupid and boring af. Must be a sad, lonely existence. With a bit of luck he'll get covid and it'll put him out of his misery
2
@TheNinthGeneration1 lol bds isn't a pro Palestinian group. It's a boycott of Israel, using your freedom of choice to decide not to buy Israeli products. And 22 states force you to sign a contract that you won't boycott Israeli products if you do any work for the state or receive any state funding or assistance. Foreign governments passing laws in America restricting freedom of choice
2
@TheNinthGeneration1 it's not a boycott of Jews it's a boycott of Israeli products. Israel will insist they're the same thing, that a boycott or any criticism of Israel is antisemitic, but that's just propaganda. What you're suggesting is that it doesn't restrict your freedom of choice, just your first amendment. That's OK then. You still have to sign a contract that you won't boycott Israeli products and pledging an allegiance to Israel. That's not freedom of choice is it.
2
@TheNinthGeneration1 you replied 6 minutes after my comment about a video that is 15 minutes long titled oath of allegiance to Israel. There's tons of sources for this I'm done spoonfeeding.
2
Good comment
2
So no free press or free speech in America anymore
2
Ukraine
2
Let's be real, if this was happening in China, Russia or North Korea the US would be the first to condemn it. It's OK if the US does it though
2
Serenity ha ha ha OK Adolf. Say hello to David Duke for me next time you see him. Get your head out of your arse and man up and admit what you are
2

2
Yeah the media didn’t really have us standing with East Timor and flying their flag though
