Nikhil singh No doubt about it. India has become a serious regional power. All of its power is in the Indian Ocean. In that region, India is more powerful than the US. We should not be comparing the sizes of the militaries that should be allies. I see Vietnam, Malaysia, and Philippines joining this alliance with the Quad.

@Battyj That may be. My comment was NOT about current relations. I maintain that China & Russia are natural enemies, since both want to dominate Central Asia. China wants to improve and modernize transit infrastructure across Asia, so that a modern "Silk" road can be re-established. China already claims 50% of Tajikistan. China already claims parts of Siberia, including Vladivostok. China's focus, right now, is on the SCS & India. I predict that the focus will change within the next 10 years, towards Russia & Central Asia.

Oh Oh. This is not good ---- for other countries. This means that the US has developed technology that surpasses the F-22 -- either in lethality or cost-effectiveness. The next plane will be both more advanced AND cheaper to operate, I expect. Besides. having only about 180 of the the F-22s really limits their ability to impact the outcome of a real war, not a localized conflict.

Saudi Army would not perform well. Saudi Arabs are spoiled with foreign workers doing everything for them. Look at how badly they are doing in Yemen, and they are not even facing a proper army. However, Iran could not conquer it, for reasons you said. Saudi monarchy would not survive the war. A military coup would be likely.

You didn't say the real reason for slanted tails. You gave all that scientific BS. We all know the real reason --- they look cool.

Explanation: "Gauze" bandages are named after the fabric that was made in Gaza. Gauze bandages were named after Gaza. That is the basis of his joke. [BUT, it is still a bad bad joke. So sad. . 😢]

1980 US would beat 2020 US. 1980 would find the names of the soldiers in 2020 US military, then find and kill their parents. The 2020 US Army destroyed. Very simple.

You don't mention morale. The Taiwanese will be fighting for their survival. Just like Israel did when the Arabs invaded them several times. And, like Israel, Taiwan has less hardware. But, morale and superior preparation enabled victory. I put money on Taiwan, if this happens.

It's a pity Israel was not allowed to completely defeat Egypt, forcing a complete surrender in the 1973 war. If Egypt had surrendered, the dynamic afterwards would have very different. Sinai would have become part of Israel - not occupied foreign territory. Cease fires, like with NK, are wrong, IMO. They settle nothing, and act as the foundation for a future war. When one side is victorious, there are terms of surrender, that settle things (as long as it is not too shaming or greedy)

What we cannot know, yet, is the reliability and kill rate of the two missiles. The F-4 Phantom was hurt by the unreliability of its missiles in the 60's. Missiles may be better now, but so too is AEC and countermeasures. Neither will have a kill rate of 100%. Can it be 50%? Or, can it be 10%? I don't think we will know until their are air to air battles.

@ahmet_6586 I was not talking about UK doing anything against Turkey. I was talking about the US leaving Incirlik base in Turkey, and using the British Air base on Cyprus instead. You raise a good point -- Can a member of NATO be kicked out?? Never? or, what conditions would allow that to happen? Seems to me, that Turkey's pro-Russian actions and statements in the recent past might qualify. If someone knows -- please comment.

Everyone: Peace can bring us all together. World leaders: War will tear us apart. OK, so its WAR, obviously.

I think China is weaker than it appears. 1. China has a quickly aging population. 2. China's bullying tactics is alienating it from regional countries. Only the Philippines "likes" it, but Duterte won't last long. Not allowing Filipino's to fish in the SCS is buildiing huge resentment there. India & Vietnam are virtual allies, with India having naval porting rights in Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam buying Brahmos missiles, and India training Vietnams navy on submarine operations & tactics. 3. China's huge debt will prevent it from matching US military spending. 4. China's wealth comes from exporting, with the US being its biggest customer. Losing US as a major customer and losing the beneficial trade imbalance will weaken China. I think China cannot win a trade war with America.

@harshitrawat811 I said "could", not "should". Understand the difference. Learn the language before you jump to conclusions and make an a$$ of yourself.

Yep. The arms merchants never saw a war they didn't like. Nay, LOVE!!

@@ahet Hypersonic missiles cannot go from China to US. Not even close. China does not have ONE working blue water carrier. It is working on it, but not operational. Subs are good for nuclear war. Do you think China wants nuclear war?

@leftyliarbreaker6860 The US is not fighting the Houthi.

@skps2010 Actually, many nations have widespread gun ownership. Switzerland, all men have to have a military rifle. In the US, our relationship with guns is a little sick. It is not that we have them, but they have become a symbol of manhood, and patriotism, and other crap. We used to have duels (showdowns) to settle arguments. You could say, that we are a bit sick. If only we could sit America down on a couch, and be psychoanalyzed.

@smithironworks123 Answer: Because the puppet is smarter than Tucker Carlson. That's why.

Disagree. A war would only start is Salman starts it. If he does that, Europe and others will not help. US would help with equipment and intelligence, like it is doing in Yemen. But, no troops. Right now a war between Iran and Arabia would benefit the US greatly. Oil prices would soar, and make the oil exports of the US that much more valuable. Remember, next year the US is projected to be the #1 producer of oil, and 2020 be an exporter. US would just love it.

Pointless exercise, IMO. Why would a Burke ship be patrolling alone?? It wouldn't. It would call in air support from nearest carrier or air base. Kirov would lose, no matter its superiority, because of America's massive worldwide military presence.
1
Normandy is a poor comparison. The Allies had experienced and war hardened troops and commanders. The Chinese army would be led by amateurs and fought by amateurs. How would they respond to the bloody first day when the Chinese would lose huge numbers of men and material?? The Chinese would have no defense for their transport ships. The Taiwanese would destroy many of them, if not most, with simple ship-to-ship missiles. Also, I don't think China has the capacity to destroy a robust air-defense network. The Chinese could not replace their losses in planes and ships. Remember, US was on war footing and was producing prodigious amount of ships & planes. Whatever they lost were more than replaced. China could not do that.
