  11. I remember in the 90's... Tom Clancy writing about a Boeing crashing into the Capitol and hacks disrupting Wall Street as an act of war. And then in 2001, when SMS text was my fast means of communication when travelling, learning that either my own (the Dutch) or US government hold back every message for several hours when certain keywords were used. Our digital world is already longer and deeper involved in warfare than we would like to believe.

Some years ago people made the same statement to defend mr Armstrong and many other athletes, by now it turned out the 8 yr olds were right. Without them there won't be a decent investigation.

  20.  @ImortalZeus13  Gaming is what YOU make of it. I play games for enjoyment, with people I enjoy playing with or solo games I like playing. Not playing games for profit. Combining social media with gaming is something I realy don't like, the games I'm playing are my new social media. And i realy wish LAN would be more used again so I can play with a small group of people without anyone getting kicked for "bad connection" and the person cought cheating is the person getting us drinks and snacks in the next round.

Please define "regular journalist". If that are only those paid by a news channel or paper we live in a very sad world. Try to keep an open mind.   34. The next gen could end loading screens and gameplay can profit from that but now dev's have to keep in mind that the older systems still "suffer", forcing loadscreens and/or cutscenes. It does affect development more than "just adjusting settings or textures". THE advantage was the uniformity of a platform. Being able to play a game on last gen/lower settings can also be a dissapointment to gamers: expecting a good new game and then finding out that is is only half as goodlooking as the trailers showed you... (Yes people are that stupid. They tend to expect "the best" without investing in the specs)

  49. The current situation is also part of the problem: One country after another finding themselves in need of the imported products needed to fight a disease. Solution? More local production. Result? Probably higher cost but at least a dissaster on the other side of the globe will not disturb society as much as it does now. And more poverty in countries that depend on our import, leading to more migrants... Yep, you have a point... We're doomed... Better enjoy it!
