The better good? Their own good! Since they add 1/3rd of the money they "saved" you into their own profit. In other words: They tried to raise their profit by almost 15% while pretending to be Robin Hood.
7
Had him and The Witcher serie in mind as example how Netflix is trying to kill a potential good product.
7
@Nategodmafia Sounds about correct, most heard excuse why people are still playing: There is nothing else.
7
@chimerakait Actualy, every time there is an update, old bugs are re-introduced. To me it seems the (assumed) internal copy/past culture of WC it self and the lack of testing are the biggest cause of bugs. If someone "copies" their game without the initial bugs it will be far less buggy.
7
@dr.elijah7742 And now the polite explanation: I was refering to computer related bugs.
7
@leastpark2577 AI/robots driven by the 3 laws had just that in mind. But then the AI decided that a 0th law was needed wich made "all humanity" superior to "every human". People enslaved by logic to protect them from their own species would be the outcome.
7
@cristianfatu2088 *press "rewind"..... *Press "Play": "No one ever said he was a saint". I knew it, nothing to prove here. Sorry, I beleived you were too young for alzheimer. No need to prove that. To answere your "Why"... I have no clue. You better ask EA, Bethesda or Respawn why managers are desperatly trying to kill their company. All I know is that Randy already asked a few times for a copy of Tod Howards bestseller "How to kill a decent IP for dummies"
7
@Phoenix9q How about increasing their revenue from 70% to 80%? They were keeping 1/3rd of the "saved" money, an increase of almost 15% of their own revenue. That 18% is peanuts compared to the big Fortnite V-Buck cashcow!
7
@Wasko2 Wait what? That wasn't chocalate milkshake?
6
@trichkid1536 Inspite of what many others tell you, you got a point. Public, partners and shareholders are good in taking away control.
6
Fun fact: Everytime there was a title I would so much I could not wait for a sale or find it second hand, my local retailer was about €10 cheaper than the digital version. Digital games are overpriced.
6
What are you playing, "Hercules Reforged"?
6
@terrythegnome2408 If you need it, you need it. But people who fork out that money just for a few games are idiots.
6
Oh, they will have to work when they grow up ;)
6
@Y0G0FU In fact, it is the other way around. Console content was always exclusive until 20 years ago. Back then, the dev's realised they were loosing money if they were not allowed to develop same content for other platforms when consoles were no longer produced with custom components. At that time, their interest served ours as well.
6
@Vadim Kaz Meaning that you were not teached the responsibilities that come with freedom. My grandparrents risked their lives and family by participating in underground resistance alsmost 80 years ago to regain freedom. But as far as I know they also raised their kids (and to some degree grandchildren too) to be responsible and valluable to the world. As i see it you got your freedom like a racecar without driving lessons: It's mend to crash. I hope you'll live long enough to regain freedom while having learned how to use it.
6
@Brian Noland Wow... "White European culture" ??? Are you for real? There is a huge difference between the Scandinavian and the Galician culture! Educate yourself LOL ;)
6
Can we start being offended by your post?
6
That last free chair was used for crushing a hypothetical skull...
6
How many hours have you played ARK? Over the last year it is the most cursed game I ever played but for some strange reason I keep playing it. Indeed, WC history is far from flawless!
6
But so many other bugs and virusses are threathening your way of life...
6
@nelsoncheng2674 Indeed, nothing wrong with seperating a social- or sports event from political agenda's. But seperating human rights from a social event? Very wrong! Nothing wrong with oppressing those who are in favour of oppressing. Just to teach them how it feels. By the way, China does try to oppress Taiwan, claiming it's part of China. How strange the majority does not like pro-China activists? Every public figure in sports or entertainment risking their career by taking a stand for human rights deserve a gold medal. They have to in fact, those are considered *ROLEMODELS*. By turning the opposite around you only proove to be either a trolll or a Chinese agent ;)
6
DRM failed consumers on CD already 20 years ago. DRM failed consumers on DVD very recently as well. Why is that crap still legal?
6
@lordhahaproductions Beside the fact that the lowest paid employees suffer more than the higher management, the reason why "big" shops are a target is simple: More loot inside and more idiots claim to find it understandable. And you are clearly falling for it.
5
@mollyparkinsons24 Going canibal seems a bit harsh to me, there must be easier ways to take care of your own food suply. Anyway, make sure to cook'em properly to kill any bugs if you wanna go that way.
5
If you think only chinese companies are mixing ingredients to cut corners you'll be surprised. There has been a fair number of incidents all over the world with contaminated food and often the use of not properly cleaned transport containers/tank units are to blame.
5
@Dark6997 LOL good point. How many stories start with: "Once, upon a time..."
5
They should consider that due to the populair demand of the Netflix model. To stay relevant it would not hurt them if they promoted the service a bit better and would let people know what their vision on these services are... Mayor difference between the 2 is that MS shouts about every fart while Sony almost seems to forget that promotiob is needed to sell.
5
And then Epic turns it into a Bethesda "canvas bag".. "We regret to let you know that due to the shortage of free electrons..."
5
@acewolfgang276 Too late... They charge $120 per year and call it Stadia.
5
@zekeviews If you don't like the exploration core, it will never be your game. I do agree that it started with broken promisses. But they do more than could be expected. Compare their effort to the big companies behaviour with all their many resources. Those can't even get 10 year old bugs fixed in the gameplay on a 20 year old game engine. They can't even make a propper "Sorry" statement anymore!
5
I noticed that thought in a lot of comments. Seems to me that if a producer tells their customers not to hesitate asking refunds if they dont like their product, a shop has every reason to stop selling it until said producer shows trust in his own product again. If Sony fails to re-list the game when CDPR claims (and proved) the issues are solved you might be correct. Would not be very smart however since they loose potential customers: Right now everyone is waiting for PS5 to restock, this game is my reason to consider switching from PS4 to PC instead trying to get PS5 when the upgrade is ready.
5
It's actualy realy simple: They want just to create outrage for rage clicks. No matter how you do as they tell you to do, tommorow there's another trend conflicting with today's trend..
5
Probably smoking pages with poison ink ;)
5
LOL I thought I was the only one that thought of that!
5
Userdata is what pays for tech. MS, Google, Apple and all the others are for years trying to collect as much data as possible and all had their share if breaches. Those lead balloons are still floating, nothing new here.
5
@blumiu2426 Cheese is not realy rocket science. All it needs is some milk, bacteria and time. Easily to produce in bulk. But yes, both slices shown here were coloured, processed imitations of cheese. If you think iron in you body is an issue, please watch this very video again: It is an element your blood needs. The reason many people are reacting to foreing food is that your body has to adjust to a new diet, it's not "getting sick".
5
@mannixneff9108 I'm not defending any of these, please read all comments. I'm just opposed to banning and double standards without a discussion about the real meaning and purpose.
5
@@thomasb282 Key words: "Have to" People surviving on only water will be nearly dead and use desperate measures way before that. Not all people have the skills to keep themselves alive from what the forrest will give them so expect extreme incidents sooner than "years".
5
Liquid Sunshine Ehm... What point of using historical events but then factual changed did you not understand? The moment games go for maximum realism in gameplay and vissuals, the story should be either complete fictional or complete correct. Too many simple people will take it for fact. In a cartoon you can fidle a lot more with controverse or alternative facts. Propaganda and brainwashing psychology or something like that. Do not make the Kill Team look like saints please.
5
@MakeGamingGreatAgainMGGA As long as they don't change basic facts. Point is here, telling the Russians created that area while in fact Americans caused quite a lot of civilian victems. Is not realy "nice". It feels like a Rambo III remake fighting the Taliban instead of helping them.
5
@1983kyrios Are you now refering to "white" kids or also including "black" kids? It should be either no one or everyone that can use it but no discrimination on who can get a "pass" (your words, not mine) and who get doxxed. Be consequent.
4
@wulfgrumheimfjarl3346 Bullshit. Robin Hood was still a thieve. A hero, but still a thief "Free" or subscribed is not even the issue. When gathering news, there is always some "leak" involved. Spreading news can never be a crime. Not in a free world.
4
@lazyman7505 No I have not and will never do it. But WC managed to launch ARK in 2015 after being founded in 2014 so it can be done.
4
@Senzorei If acces privileges are compromised the verdict could be simply "guilty". Technical inspections are accepted in every serious sport. Of course it is undoable for the average round of Fortnite but the moment we are talking serious competition there are ways. Perfect? No. But it must start somewhere if we want to fight it.
4
Makes no sense to me. Why stock it up if you can drink it?
4
Making the best of a bad situation. We should get free alcohol to make isolation more bearable. We'll be alcoholic after this shitstorm, but hey... Fo now it's a good plan!
4
@tubey84 You have clearly never visited former eastern Europe in the days of the iron curtain ;)
4
But... But... It's part of their job: Testing the results of breaking the law. I mean, how else can they see if a law is functional? It is a dirty job, glad I don't have to do that!
4
A video about controling the media... And in the background watching a game from a publisher that about a month ago showed how they controlled YouTube... Serious? Is SupMatto already forgotten???
