  19. People still don’t get it, do they? Google how much of whatever country you live in is owned by private owners? From St Paul’s Cathedral to fields and walking paths, you might be staggered by what you find!? Most of the land you thought was, “public property,” is owned by some foreign billionaire. The oligarchs are having a final fire sale and absolutely everything must go! They’re buying up or stealing all of it and digging downward from inside their town houses, using new tech to secure their bomb proof bunkers, so they can have everything from have swimming pools to panic rooms in their basements and can live in luxury while the poverty stricken fight it out over head! Victims of the coming riots will not even know they’re being murdered by some far right Nazi whilst the filthy rich are partying 50 feet beneath their spilled entrails! These are NOT, “politicians.” Merely front men and women, employed by weapons manufacturers, drug companies and other lobby groups, maintaining the elision of democracy for just long enough for them to establish their new Feudal order. We are merely surfs, and we’re about to find that out, all because one of the greediest fat cats doesn’t think he’s getting his share of the pie. Remember I said this in a few years, when law and order has become a thing that only exists if you live in the right neighbourhood (which won’t be yours unless you have more than 10 million in assets) and the, “politicians,” have given up all pretence of being anything other than what they are: representatives of the mega-corporations. Those corporations are about to redefine our borders and redraw the map, until you’ll find you live in a country called, “Microsoft 2.011,” or, “Glaxo Smithkline, Sector 10!” You think I’m exaggerating? Just remember this comment 10 years from now. That is, IF any of us are allowed to use free communications and have our licences in order? . . .

  33. Rohme Giuliano Well, Rohmey baby, you attributed a vast range of views to me, whilst having no actual idea of what they are, save for my stated view that Zizek's analysis of Robespierre is monstrous. It is precisely this tendency to over-generalise on the basis of assumptions that makes me hope that reactionary student union types, such as you appear to be, never get their twitchy, unthinking fingers on the levers of power. I guess I can picture you sitting beside Robespierre and Zizek, taking one look at my post, and then assuming away with gusto, creating a fictional back story for me and attributing your picture of my entire political, academic and professional career for me, without anything more to go on than my single statement, your overzealous instincts - enslaved as they are to your cultural prejudices - and your inability to conceive of the possibility that you could be in error or that there may be something that you could learn from the world, if you would only take a moment to stop preaching at it, and from all of this you would probably designate me a subversive and have me sent to the block. God forbid that you would tolerate a difference of opinion and let it roam free in the world unchecked? Heaven fore fend that you might think before bleating out two or three passages from a textbook? And most of all, let us never consider that another person's view might be different from the one we, the elite, have assigned him?! Tell you what, if you want to know what I ACTUALLY THINK, why don't you ask me? If you want to discuss something with an open mind, you are required to consider the chance that, just maybe, you don't already know what I believe before you have asked me. Do you think you can do that? Maybe remember your training (if you were or are a student of history), which teaches against assumption, and encourages a slightly more forensic approach to learning. Let me know if I'm getting to Zizekian for your tastes, won't you, please? P.S. I will say that Nietzsche was a worm who would have been annihilated in a society that was anything like the one he advocated, but please do not take this statement as a licence to rattle off a whole new reconstruction of my beliefs? That was a comment on the man, not his philosophy. ;-)

  42.  @Pres_NotSure  : For, “politicians,” see, “Representatives, working for private industries, owned by a conglomerate of various lobbyists, carpet bagging the planet whilst selling off every last resource, patch of land and every last brick of property to the highest bidder.” The people who wanted to stop the Texas Governor introducing Stone Age abortion penalties through snitching on your neighbours legislation could have brought about a U-Turn in policy by going to the oil company depos and blocking all of the trucks from entering or leaving. Then the bosses of the Governor, at Shell, Exon and BP would have instructed the politicians they own to drop it, so they can get back to making money without having to shoot a bunch of white people on national TV. If people banded together and stopped using Facebook for 24 hours all over the planet, the floor would fall out from beneath the far right radicals who make so much money for such companies, like flipping a switch. It HAS TO BE obvious to everyone that ALL politicians have been corrupted at the highest levels by now? FFS, Germany is still planning to import 10% of its entire gas supply from Russia and we’re meant to believe that this arrangement is IN ANY WAY in Germany’s, “ best interests!?”??? It’s like FDR relying on Emperor Hirohito for his tanks and battleships during World War Two! I used to think, “Are they MAD that they think we don’t SEE their corruption!?” Now, I’ve realised. We’re the mad ones. They know we won’t do a god damned thing about it . . .
