Allie Goubeaux : Actually, I agree with your second and third sentence. I hope he gets another trial, and Waters is forced to account for her stupidity, having caused a mistrial? He’ll still lose, even if they held it in your motherland, “Russier,” or, “Chiynah.” As to whether liberals, “think,” or not, you’d have to ask a, “liberal,” about that, madam? Triggered people ASSume much 🤦♂️

Lieutenant: “I’m honestly afraid to get out.”
Cop: “Yeah, you should be! Get out!”
What does a rational, law abiding citizen DO at that point? Call the cops? If that isn’t an impossible and deadly threat, what is? The cop literally told him he should be afraid to get out of the vehicle, whilst ordering him to get out of the vehicle in his very next breath! Just a street thug with a badge. Firing is not enough. What would have happened had it been the other way around, even if the cop was off duty? Those assaults and deadly verbal threats would have landed our lieutenant in the can by now, awaiting a lengthy sentence, and we all know it. Any cop fired for such a thing, should, at minimum, be barred from all police work, nationally. It’s not just about that individual, but about national confidence in law enforcement. ✌️

I read that book. And I despair. Here is a prime example. Two men, a politician and a senior cop, disagreeing over, “defunding the police.” Neither man knows what the term means, nor realises that they both want precisely the same thing. Either out of deliberate obtuseness, conspiracy, or sheer ignorance, they have not got a definition of the term to hand. Ask either one of them, “Would you prefer a well funded, well equipped, well staffed police force to solve crimes, prevent crimes and catch criminals? Or are you happy to see the expanded use of the police as psychiatric nurses, social workers, corporate goon body guards and bailiffs for the banks, collecting debts and turning poor people out of their homes?” They would BOTH give the same answer! They BOTH want, “defunding,” but . . . Do they? . . .
They’re either the dumbest people to be put in charge of anything, or corporate stooges, right? What other possibility is there? Even the name, “defunding,” sounds like the opposite of what it means, and was SO BOUND to trigger unthinking people, who never look sh*t up! Talk about ASKING to be misunderstood? Reform will have to come from the ground up, with better terms to define the debate. I’ve never, in all my years, seen such an obvious misunderstanding getting so much fuel from such egregiously idiotic, “leaders,” in such an obviously callous exploitation of ignorance.
It’s problem that America does NOT WANT to solve. Too much MONEY to be lost . . . And little honor to be found.

That’s kind of missing the point though. Everyone’s aware that the color of your skin changes your life opportunities and it changes the individual’s expectations of justice and equity. To analyse how that works, from cradle to the grave, is a noble endeavour, so long as it is done with earnest, honest integrity and intent. Once it is given a, “name,” it becomes a straw man, for people to attack, because they don’t understand it. And you can guarantee that anyone who is, “against CRT,” is speaking from a position of ignorance: 100% of the time. So, to get bogged down in its origin story, is as misguided as arguing over who started The Beer Hall Putsch on the beaches of Normandy on D Day.
No one is teaching it. It’s not on the curriculum. Academics argue that it should, “inform,” teaching methods, and is something that educators should know about when teaching; in the same way that people are taught to be aware of racism, sexism and oppression in general. It’s not a thesis. It’s not a formal discipline. It’s an idea about awareness. As ever, the GOP are mischaracterising something, for the sake of creating a shadow to box with. Because they dare not deal with ANY policy in a substantive manner. To do so could only lead to the revelation that they not only NEVER serve the public good, but that they are the CAUSE of the public’s harm.
So, with respect. Learn what it is and pay more attention to the content of the, “thing,” than when and where it manifested? I could tell you a lot about Copenhagen, Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein, but that wouldn’t tell you anything about Physics, or the Copenhagen Interpretation. See what I mean?

That’s a good point. It annoys me that they don’t fact check in real time. My instant response was, “If I forced you to answer the question, by torturing you or something, that would be a, ‘violation,’ of all kinds of rights, but you have the right not to answer. So, don’t make out that me asking you a question is some kind of, ‘violation,’ that it’s NOT? Be honest and say you don’t want to tell America that of course you got vaccinated, but don’t want to tell your base, because that doesn’t fit your bonkers narratives. No one’s violating your rights, Karen, you snowflake!”

She was willing to be real and honest about all of this, when others were too wrapped up in political biases to take a cold, hard, honest journalistic look at the truth. This story has done more to raise her in my esteem, than any other I can think of. And it’s not like I didn’t rate her highly already. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn of suicides because of this Time’s Up debacle? I hope not, but imagine if you had been looking to them for financial help, legal guidance and moral support, for your own serious assault or harassment case, and coping with all the Cuomo Collusion revelations, when you now learn that, rather than facing and dealing with these issues; owning them, reviewing practices and working to change things, the whole leadership just throws in the towel, after being outed as abetting Cuomo? A bunch of famous people, polishing their halos for the public, turned out to be either a part of the problem, or just playing at solving it, but left once the going got tough and they might have to put their own skin in the game. Any and all, “hope,” you had would be robbed from you, turning your worst fears into despair. God help those victims. Because Time’s Up sure ain’t going to . . .

This analysis was SO spot on, it’s impossible to add anything but the details. But, who wants to talk about Manchin enjoying his nights in the Lincoln Suit at the White House, his lobby donors ensuring he flies first class everywhere, and all that sweet sweet press attention he’s soaking up, knowing it will never happen again in his life, unless it’s for some crime he gets busted for? We just need to win more seats at the midterms, and make this fool irrelevant enough to declare himself actually in the GOP, so we can all say, “Yeah, we know. And we don’t care!” ✌️👍

While I get your point, would you prefer it if the DOJ was allowed to lie and break legally binding contracts? Because that’s what happened. Cosby signed a plea deal, which was, “Confess and settle in civil court, and we’ll drop the criminal prosecution.” That prosecutor broke his and the state’s word, and the law, by making a deal he didn’t have the right, or lawful authority, to make. That prosecutor should be on trial for doing that? The court has merely upheld the word of the department of justice. Cosby remains a confessed serial rapist, as the civil suit is unchanged. If anything, it is stronger now. But a rapist walks free among us, because the same lawyer who went on to defend trump at his last impeachment, made a corrupt promise and corruptly broke his word. I hope he gets disbarred.
