  11. First, I'm not a tobacco user, I have no financial interest in tobacco nor do I gain employment from it in any way. That said... Cigarettes do not equal all tobacco. Studies on Tobacco have only researched cigarettes and chewing tobacco in massive amounts. Many pipe and cigar smokers live long, health lives. So I leads me to think that it's more specific behaviors with certain products. Much like prescription drugs and the abuse of them. I'd be willing to bet she is still invested in pharmaceutical companies.

  18. I became an RN at 55. Yeah, ageism was there, but what was worse was the sexism. I'm a male and heterosexual. Those demographics put me in roughly 1% of my graduating class. In a country that considers itself acutely aware of sexism, they sure seem to be oblivious to it when the shoe is on the other foot. I now work on a unit that has two other straight white males. It's awesome. ....BTW, congratulations NP!

  30.  @Ugottabekiddingme  In 2020 there were ballot dumps that were basically only for one candidate. It wasn't something that inspired confidence in the count. Then there was 110% voter turnout in some areas in 2020. This happened in swing states. Then you could look at the bellwether counties whose votes align with the candidate who will be nominated. They all got it wrong (except for one) in 2020. That in itself doesn't mean much, but it is strange that it was the first time in 40 years.

Did you think you would live your entire life and never have anything happen that bothered you emotionally? In the history of civilization, Arabs have done some messed-up things, so it stands to reason that some people out there could have issues with Arabs.

  49.  @Amandanumnum  Is the behavior propelled by Nature or Nurture? It depends whether human behavior is determined by the environment, either prenatal or during a person's life, or by a person's genes. If it nature, you are not going to be able to make much in the way of progress. If it's nurture, who's/what nurturing is at the root of the problem? Remember, most children are predominantly raised by the mother and an even greater number of men who exhibit problems we're raised by most only women. It may well be that its caused by the females who raised the children. We've all seen plenty of toxic females... Just a thought.
