I'm Australian and have worked in Canada. You don't need to keep apologising for everything. Living next to door to the Yanks is enough that we all have sympathy for you. The real shame of JBP was back in the day when he was just a college professor he was a damn good professor. I have watched some of his older lectures and he was excellent at explaining topics and engaging students. THEN he got famous. THEN he hit the drugs. NOW his brain is damaged from said drugs.

I'm an Australian but went to college in America which is in part why I watch this stuff. There's an interesting parallel with Australia. Our Left (the Australian Labor Party) also never fails to disappoint. I'm an engineer so I put this in engineering terms (sort of). The Left have good ideas but are hopeless project managers and their projects fail. The Right have bad ideas but are good project mangers and convert their ideas into reality. We get a lot of British and European news in Australia and I see the same thing happening all over Britain and Europe. I can give examples of it from Australia if you want. Irrespective this seems to be a trait of both sides. One side has good ideas but can't implement any of them while the other has bad ideas and implements them with ruthless efficiency.

About 15 years ago during one of clashes where the IDF went into Gaza and smashed an entire neighborhood there was a middle aged woman with her children standing there looking at the devastation. She turned to the cameraman/journalist and asked him "Do you wonder why our children are asking us how they can become suicide bombers?" NOTHING can excuse what Hamas did with murdering innocent people, but I am wondering how many of those Hamas fighters were children who houses were bombed in previous IDF raids. When you trap over 2 million people in a small space and give them no hope of a future it can't end well.

Russell Brand has never respected ANY boundary. Its what he built his career on.

You need to go back and listen to the interview Jesse Ventura gave Kyle Kulinski and Krystal Ball. He describes the year he worked as a commentator and compares it to Trumps public behavior. There was a year where JV was injured and could not wrestle so he went into commentary which wasn't unusual EXCEPT Jesse came from the Bad Boy side of pro-wrestling and the commentators were traditionally on the Good Guy side. Jesse asked Vince McMahon what he should do and Vince gave Jesse this incredibly simple instruction. "If you say it, then its true." and the implication is that in the cartoonish environment of pro-wrestling that isn't real to begin with you can just say things and THEY ARE TRUE to a part of the audience and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. What Jesse told Kyle & Krystal is that Trump is simply doing the same job as a Bad Boy wrestling commentator. The problem is Politics isn't pro-wrestling its actually the real world with real people and real lives.

Well first its actually spelt D-O-R-E. BUT he has been saying things lately that I don't agree with how he's presenting it. Because if you look at this guy he's presenting, that's an AR15 (or similar) dangling around his neck. His words aren't offensive but standing there with others armed to the teeth protesting the Government and threatening a civil war isn't peaceful. Right there around 9:45 he says "we come in peace." If he comes in piece then why is he and others all carrying AR15s? FYI - I actually saw Jimmy's vid on this and thought he was ignoring certain relevant facts.

Joseph Stalin - “a single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic” A few die in razor wire on the Texas border and its a tragedy where these people howl and scream that the border has to be defended. 19 students (aged from 9 to 11) and 2 teachers die at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas AND NONE of these people got in a convoy to go down to Texas and help out. The world has all but forgotten Sandy Hook, Columbine and other similar incidents. Maybe we should ask these people at what point it goes from tragedy to statistic to forgotten?

How much are you willing to bet he'd never COMPLETELY READ any book since he was in high school? And by that I mean cover to cover He has a degree in poly sci but with any LIBERAL arts degree you can get away with NOT completely reading anything.

ATTENTION ALL: I just checked through the last 10 Pakman podcast transcripts here on YT for the word "river" and its NOT THERE. So when was this comment made? I'll agree with a few of the negative comments about Pakman here. He can be smug and at times he has on guests who are there for no other reason but to back up his view of the world, but he also has on people he disagrees with. I can be critical of him in a number of ways including his relentless plugging of sponsors, but then that's his business model. What I did find was a video posted 25 Oct 2023 titled "A framework for Israeli-Palestinian peace." So if you actually want to know what his views are then I suggest you go watch and listen rather than rant about a comment that may or may NOT have been made because there's NO REFERENCE to when it was made.
11
He's certainly never listened to anything Roger Waters has said and especially what he's been saying in recent years.

Welcome to what its like to be in every other community. No matter how hard you try there's always somebody in your community or cultural group who takes their identity too far. Despite being in the minority, they tend to profess purity and often make everyone in that cultural group look bad. I'm Australian (Anglo-Saxon descent) but went to college in America (U. Illinois). Here in Australia we have a pretty ugly history with respect to our native population and a few other things. Every time we take a couple of steps forward some puritanical clown jumps up and says something stupid or ridiculous and it goes backwards. Just understand that EVERY group of people on the planet have those few who claim to be the most pure, most loyal and most patriotic of the group. OF NOTE - they might dislike people outside their group but they tend to be vicious towards anyone in their group who they perceive as being disloyal. We see this among the MAGA people who can be vicious towards anyone they perceive as disloyal to Trump. We also see it in Russia with the repression of anyone who isn't 100% behind Putin. It happened in Nazi Germany with any German who wasn't 100% behind Hitler. Go look what they did to Sophie Scholl.
11
And on your point of people just attacking people for not being on their side the Triggernometry guys just interviewed a guy named Andrew Doyle who's written a book "The New Puritans" on that subject. I don;t know if the book is worth buying but the interview was worth the time. As for Sam's comment at the start about Sam Harris, "I think this guy so appreciates the sound of his own voice that he says things without really thinking about them a lot of times or without contemplating the implications of them." I'd recommend that Sam Seder and every other political commentator on YouTuber have a look in the mirror on that subject.

I'm Australian but went to college in America back in the late 80s. America has had its issues AND SO HAVE WE (I just watched the MR vid on the evil rich guy and you can see my comment there) That said these PragerU videos are next level Right wing sleaze of a type nobody has seen since the "duck and cover" days and "reds under the bed" hysteria of the Joe McCarthy years. To be sure there are people here in OZ who would love this stuff taught in our schools too or an Australian version of it. I got to spend some time in Florida and like most of America found its people to be friendly and decent. I met good people everywhere I went in America and I did a lot of travelling when I was there. I truly hope the decent people of Florida and the rest of America stand up an be counted and put these clowns in their place. Best wishes from Australia.

I'm Australian but went to college in America and we get all of the news out of Britain. As an outside observer to both America and Britain that's one of the most astute comparisons I have seen anyone give on any current public subject. 👍👍👍👍

AUSTRALIAN HERE: Sorry to say JUST LIKE EVERY SOCIETY we have people like this too. The smug smile on his face gives away what sort of person he is. Think about the sidekick of the schoolyard bully. NOT the actual bully but his sidekick. This is typical of the COWARD who stands behind the bully or thinks the bully has his back and he can get away with what ever he likes. Listen to his argument about having the right to stand there and harass another person while having that smug smile. That is the behavior of the schoolyard bully's sidekick.

Although I find Tim Pool and his brigade of M0R0NS repulsive to say the least Prof. Scott Galloway has been pointing out some facts in terms of issues facing men these days. He's also the father of 2 boys and has a real concern for their future. So he has skin in the game and he's not a clown or mοrοn. Just recently Scott pointed out that there has been research into dating sites as in who & what gets responses. On the dating sites where there's data available (and sorry but Scott didn't expound on which sites) there's around 15% of the men who get something like 80-90% of the responses. That's not to say that a significant proportion of the men don't ever get a response its just that a very small group get MOST of the responses. Part of the research included some sort of display of wealth or success. Scott gave the example of wearing something like a Rolex BUT NOT waving it about to say "see I have money" but just casually showing it in one or more photos increases the number of responses. Nobody should ever be surprised that women are more picky when it comes to men - they get pregnant we don't. Its kinda that simple.

Hey Lindsay - When you play with a rabid dogs, don't complain when you get bit.

You've explained why I stopped watching their shitshow. Krystal is fantastic but Saagar has lost his mind and I doubt that BP will last long unless he changes. He used to be a lot more tolerant and it was worth listening to because we at least got to hear an alternative viewpoint on events, but now its just ranting.

Australian here - I went to college in America (late 80s). I did aerospace engineering but one of my humanities sequences was Classical Civilisation. In high School I studied (as many Australians did) Orwell (both 1984 and Animal Farm). My mother was a high school teacher who loved history and taught it when she could, but she loved explaining things from history to me. All those classes and lessons seemed like a waste of time to an engineer AND THEN Donald Trump arrived and then JD Vance and his Opus Dei goon squad added to that. YES in Australia we know who that lot are because there have been several scandals at high schools run by them. So yeah I am 100% in agreement with your comment. And for anyone else in the thread here's one of the greatest comments by any American ever. This is Henry Wallace former VPOTUS in the New York Times, April 9, 1944 “The really dangerous American fascist... is the man who wants to do in the United States in an American way what Hitler did in Germany in a Prussian way. The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information. With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power... They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest. Their final objective, toward which all their deceit is directed, is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection."

I used to watch Jimmy too. It was when he'd have people like Mark Blyth, Abby Martin and others on and he did some really great work. BUT Around the time the Squad would not hold out against the rest of the Democratic leadership and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE something went wrong in Jimmy's brain. That's NOT to blame anyone because Jimmy has to accept his own choices and what he has done since them and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for it.

This whole argument by Peterson has been asked for several years now. He was here in Australia BEFORE the COVID Pandemic around the time his book 12 Rules.. was being promoted and he brought up the issue of radicals and how to identify them. He said words to the effect and I have heard him say similar numerous times since: Its easy to identify people on the right who have become radicalised and become a problem - they become racist. He said/says that its more difficult on the left because there's not a simple single indicator like racism. He has suggested at times that there maybe a number of signs that if a person displays 1 or more of that indicate that a person has gone too far. 1) If JBP identified this issue several years ago then WHY hasn't he got a better answer, because he's still spouting the same answer he had more than 5 years ago? 2) How does JBP explain people who have been dragged into right wing conspiracies like Qanon but are not racists, because there are Qanon people as well as Trump supporters who are African American and its hard to call them white supremacists? I think JBP should have stuck to being a college professor, because if you have seen any of his lectures from 7 or more years ago he was good at that. He engaged his students and challenged them to think which is what a good professor should do. Because ever since 12 Rules and fame infected his brain its been a long slow slide downhill.
10
@kimwarton4894 Agreed it would be a lot better having someone like Roger Waters than any of these clowns he has on. The problem would be Joe's Brain trying to keep up.
10
Depends which club? If its the American Chapter of NOBFAC (No Brain Function Allowed Club) then I think Dave is right at home in their club.
10
@tylerrobinson8963 And don't forget they scream and rant against free health care and supporting poor people with food. AND YET there's a person who they claim to know about and FOLLOW who handed out free health care and fed the poor, while speaking out against and confronting people who made money from religion.

Stalin (reputedly) said “a single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic” At some point the number of dead Palestinian children, which is now over 12,000, became a statistic. We can talk about the other deaths but those 12,000+ includes many young children and we can simply ask "What crime did they commit to deserve a death sentence before they even had a chance to do anything in life?"

Australian here - From an outside perspective Karine Jean-Pierre has to be the single WORST White House Press Secretary of recent decades. From the outside looking in the list of the Trump list of Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany were just awful people. They were just straight up LIARS but at least were competent liars who lied convincingly. Jen Psaki was also very good at the spin game and also accused of lying, but she also did it with competence. BUT Karine Jean-Pierre is just straight up incompetent. AFTER THE FACT that Netanyahu stabbed Biden and the Democrats in the back regarding the election Biden should simply throw Netanyahu and couple of others under the bus and leave Trump a mess to deal with. On top of that if Biden really wants to stick it to Trump then Biden should pardon all of the January 6th Rioters. Yes it sounds crazy but leaving them in prison after the election is just moot. Garland FAILED AT HIS JOB and the one person who should have been in jail s now about to become President again. So if Biden pardons them all it makes NO DIFFERENCE except for one small detail. Trump doesn't get to do it. Trump doesn't get to stand there and tell his base he did it.
9
Then why is she being SO STUPID. The election is over, its been checked, re-checked, audited AND CERTIFIED. ITS OVER. ITS DONE. ITS FINSIHED. TRUMP LOST so you Sidney Powell and all the other clowns can just GET OVER IT.
9
@jaymorgan7728 No he's not Mr Burns is a cartoon character who we can laugh at. There is nothing cartoonish about Rupert Murdoch and there is nothing funny about what he does. However if you are talking about a sociopathic narcissistic cretinous monster who we would all like to see his heart stop if he had one, then yeah maybe there's some similarity.
9
@user-rn7hv7of1b In what fashion are you asking? Other than the fact he's never been involved in politics other than doing a film about a Scottish rebel, what's Mel Gibson done that's anything like what Carter did?
9
It was the Capital not the WH (Whitehouse) where the insurrection happened although there were crimes of sedition happening and the WH too.

I remember reading many years ago (yes in some paces reading is still allowed) that of a list of 100 people most responsible for mass casualties from their actions, decrees or instructions. That list was topped by people Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan... etc but out of 100 included around 80 Popes. The point of that study made was that the Catholic church either organised, approved or were directly involved in staggering numbers of wars like the crusades, 100 years war, 30 years war..... Plus there were people like the Borgias (who were Spanish) and Cardinal Richelieu in France. Then there were the Inquisitions where they burned people alive who questioned the Church's authority. Then there were crusades like the Albigensian Crusade in what is now southern France that had nothing to do with the Holy Lands. PLUS we have also forgotten the Catholic Church's role in helping Hitler get into power in the first place. If you don't know about that go and look up Franz von Papen.
9
Australian here and I would say that others were more educated like Obama (Harvard) and Clinton (yale) who both had law degrees, but where Carter had them all beat was HONESTY and his willingness to HELP. He wasn't perfect and made mistakes but his diplomatic work AFTER being president has been well regarded around the world. By contrast NONE of the other presidents come close in their post presidency work. In fact the hardest thing is to compare the post-presidency work of others to him because the others have done almost NOTHING except charge lots of money to give talks and that includes the work of Nobel Peace prize winner Barrack Obama. Carter did all sorts of stuff and seemed willing to do what ever was asked of him. What have any of the others done as in diplomatic work or charity work or just anything other than make money?
9
I'm Australian but went to college in America (Late 80s U.Illinois) That's a fantastic assessment. Liberals (in the American context of Liberal) OVERTHINK too many things and this is common across the entire developed world. JUST YESTERDAY the state I live in Queensland, which is similar to Texas in terms of attitude Labor (our Left) who were in power LOST to the conservative LNP. Yet again they lost an easily winnable election to the conservative LNP. The LNP ran a shitty narcissistic "scare the old people" campaign about "out of control youth crime" and the Left offered nothing to counter the barrage of scare tactics. I think you are dead right the Dems need to slam Trump with 1 major simple direct thing and just hammer it home. He's what I would suggest: The original Roe-V-Wade was (in part) won on the basic principle of the 4th Amendment and that medical records are private between patient and doctor. So paint it that this is a simple fight for the protection of your medical records. Make it really simple if you vote for Trump you lose your privacy rights to your medical records. Let me know what you think of that.

The odd thing about Michael Knowles is that he wasn't like this nuts a year ago. David Pakman interviewed/debated him last year and there has been a significant change in his rhetoric. Although they disagreed on a lot of things they still had a reasonable conversation. Yes they disagreed, yes it got energetic, but Michael Knowles didn't voice this sort of stuff. Of note - that interview was BEFORE he joined the Daily Wire and became another Matt Walsh's anti-woke warriors.
9
I'm an engineer (aerospace) and its now almost a full time job for engineers to have to REPEATEDLY explain to clowns why certain things won't work or do you want me to explain; - The Titan submarine and how they ignored experienced engineers; or - The Boeing Max-8 and how they threw the common sense rule book out the window; or - Any of a number of other tragedies where "enlightened vision" overruled "common sense"

It only took Henry Kissinger 100 years and 186 days to finally do the human race a failure.

This video is an excerpt of a preciously posted video from a few days ago. Although its pretty good there is a question they DID NOT ask of Professor Chemerinsky. On the staff of the UC Berkley Law School he is dean of, is John Yoo. John Yoo is NOT ONLY a well known member of the Federalist Society but was the author of the infamous "Torture Memo" during the Bush Administration. That memo lead to the abuses at Abu Ghraib (Iraq) and Bagram AFB (Afghanistan) as well as the issues with extraordinary rendition and the prison at Guantanamo Bay. John Yoo is a genuine criminal and should be in prison rather than being a tenured law professor. How is it that when they have professor Chemerinsky in an interview talking about the Constitution and the federalist Society that they don't bring up the issues with John Yoo?
8
@ivoted-5489 The same way any other school gets their students. Their parents send them there. Like all private schools they operate on reputation and if the schools reputation is good within a community then parents send their kids to that school.
8
Its NOT simply that they are Ok that these people died and they don't care. Its that they object to anyone trying to deal with it. They are actually hampering people from saving lives.
8
@MimiKeel Yes they do when they are a source of very cheap labor.
8
When Tucker was first dumped by Fox someone pointed out how well others who have been dumped by Fox have done and specifically pointed out Bill O-Reilly and Megan Kelly as 2 examples.

Lets not forget there are millions of people thinking that messianic technocrats like Elon Musk are about to whisk them away to Mars to found a new Utopian society there. Or we could talk about the other messianic technocrats who think that AI will be the magic solution and bring in a Utopian society here. FYI - I am an aerospace engineer and I can tell you that the "new religion" of scientism is alive and thriving. 30+ years ago when I was in college we had a guest lecture by an alum one Friday. He'd just done a project/study into the practicality of terraforming Mars. He simply told us its impossible without god like powers. He explained some of the very simple aspects of it. One of those is just how much air you need. I use the example of a 1km thick layer and if you want I'll explain the math. It takes over 170 Trillion (with a 'T') tons of air just to put a 1km thick layer of Earth standard air around Mars. I once had a scientism clown tell me you'd only need the Oxygen (1/5th of the air) so I asked him: "Ok where are you getting 34.5 Trillion tons of Oxygen from?" I can give you other examples but trust me when I tell you the religious nutters are not alone on this planet when it comes to being M0R0Ns who believe in Utopian fantasy stories.
8
@AammaK For someone claiming another person is taking a simplistic understanding of a subject you reply is incredibly simplistic. You're also ignoring that he's not talking about religion in general or belief systems in general but a particular aspect of religion that happens to be TRUE. Many civilisations DID collapse where their religious practices were a contributing factor if not the most important factor. Easter Island is a good example. If you wanted to argue that Religion wasn't the only factor in those collapses then that would be a good point.
8
Same reply I just gave another comment AEROSPACE ENGINEER & PILOT HERE and you are 100% correct. BUT with respect ATC Controllers they are all pilots and that's across the world. Its a pre-requisite requirement of the job and you apply for the job or start training unless you are a pilot first. Its simply IMPOSSIBLE to become a pilot with "severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities"
8
I'm Australian and when he was on TV here (a few years ago) he bragged about how he's a "provocateur" and its his job to provoke people. Its was surreal, but it exposed him for the attention seeking fraud that he was. Nothing has changed.
8
Listen to what Trump actually said: At 3:05 "I couldn't be more glad. I am so happy I did it because I've made America great. We can do it again. Right now we don't. We are not a great country. We are not a great country." He actually REPEATS "We are not a great country." Notice he NEVER says what he did to make it great or what anyone else has done to then NOT make it great.
8
@imapseudonymRU12 I don't know but I have heard of that crowd too. They do NOT have a very good reputation in Australia. I can't confirm what I have heard so I won't repeat specific allegations here, but it has to do with dominating small rural communities through business arrangements.
8
@andrewpearson5504 My point is that in many cases they WONT do that for there own politicians because they are too scared to miss out on future interviews BUT they will always go after politicians they don't care about getting another interview from OR are unlikely to ever get another interview OR they know will have to come back in future. Although I will say that some people will always go after the politician in front of them and we DO NOT have enough of those.
