My dad passed away a few years ago, he was born in 1926 and he was a real straight shooter! Thank you so much for being an incredible role model, just like my dad.   5. Every time that I walk in front of a full sized pickup truck in the USA I’m scared to death of being hit by one of them. Imagine if all vehicles had to pass the European pedestrian crash tests? There’s no chance that I’m going to take less than four wheels. Everybody talks about how safe their vehicles are, but they only crash into the same type of vehicles as themselves. The smart car talked about their safety cage, but that’s Smart against Smart. I own a Tesla Model 3 and the YouTubers are always saying the safest cars in the world, but it’s Model 3 crashing into Model 3 or equivalent size vehicle.

  14. I noticed that almost every man wears a wedding ring, even the really young guys. Is that because housing is “affordable” in the beautiful countryside of Michigan where in most tech hubs you are lucky to have your own bedroom in an apartment with a bunch of strangers? Maybe it’s possible to raise a family in a home in Michigan with the salaries that Sandy pays? I know that this is off the subject, but these are very important considerations when taking on a new career.

  22. Does every Ford franchised dealer that is EV trained have to buy all of these specialized tools in order to take these things apart or will they just replace the entire component? I think that I know the answer, replace the entire component, which is how Tesla does it!

  26. Have you driven a Ford lately? I think that Ford has earned a second chance, if only the Dealership experienced didn't suck! I tried to look at a Mustang Mach E and I was totally ignored. It's best to deal with their internet salespeople, but the Finance person in their fancy suits are the ones that will really try to screw you over. Who ever heard of having to negotiate the price of an extended warranty and they will lie to your face about the factory warranty, especially on an EV or a PHEV.

  34.  @jamesengland7461  It was a joke about efficiency, comparing mile per gallon to how much electricity it takes to move this Hummer EV. Their will be a Hummer EV SUV as well. The Escalade is superior overall, cargo, people, real wood trim, a beautiful curved display and on and on.

I always assumed that it was double what we have in the USA, but it’s not, is it? I’m also confused by the countries that have residential 3 phase power. How much current is available there? Is there enough for DC fast charging?

  42. Trucks and SUV’s do not have to meet the same safety standards as passenger vehicles and it’s been a huge loophole allowing manufacturers to make a lot of money. People used to die in rollover accidents in the original Ford Explorers because they were not passenger cars.
