@NijarMahruz-j6b - That's still not the same as experience in governance. He knows it, and that's why he intends to step down in a few months. He knows he can't provide govt jobs to all the students. Bangladesh already had high economic growth.

West Berlin was never regarded by the Soviet Union as Soviet territory. It may have been a strategically important city, but it was never seen by the Soviet Union as its own national territory. Taiwan, on the other hand, is seen by Beijing as China's own home territory which it seeks to repatriate. :cat-orange-whistling: Xi has more political power at home than Khruschev ever did, and he is firmly in charge. He has staked his own prestige on regaining Taiwan.
4
@Cecil-yc6mc - Afghanistan collapsed too - because they were used as cannon-fodder - remind you of anyone these days?
4
Shahzad Ali Pakistan's collapse is already happening. Your country has no money. Your currency has been devalued. Your Imran Khan was selected by the Army after they arrested Nawaz Sharif - how is that democracy? Army runs everything over there.
4
@zacnewman7140 - "their nukes" - they had none, those were Soviet nukes. How come they haven't built anything so far? Should've been able to do it in the past couple of years, if they're so technical. I don't think the Azov knuckle-draggers would be hesitating to use them on the untermenschen.
4
@IIIlllII - insects are fooled by the shiny solar panel surfaces and try to land on them, thinking that they're water. Instead of liquid refreshment, they get fried. Even some birds are fooled this way too.
4
@tilapia dave - fortunately, electricity is fungible, and produceable from a variety of sources.

China is responding to AUKUS. They see this new military deal between Australia and the United States as a fundamental threat, and are seeking to counter it by pursuing a base in the Solomon islands. This is their version of missiles in Cuba.
4
This lady doesn't talk that well. DW must be using a lot of interns.

Moscow has supported India in war, when Indians were being killed in large numbers. Moscow has supported India with its UN veto many times. When nobody else would stand with India, Moscow stood with India. We Indians don't forget such things.
4
He is used to saying that to his bosses in the army, whom he reports to. He has learned to stay on his toes like this.

This guy doesn't look German. Isn't this just Indian news people wearing a Deutsche-Welle label? Ajai Shukla, who is known to be affiliated with the opposition Congress Party, is basically echoing their line that the ruling govt in New Delhi isn't firmly opposing the Chinese even in statements. So his spin is that if India even acknowledges differences of opinion between the 2 countries, that this amounts to capitulation. It's hard to see how that would objectively be true. China has long had its own perceptions, and furthermore has had a track record of discarding previous agreements when it found the moment opportune to do so.

@yagi3925 - perhaps then a different organization is required than North Altantic Treaty Organization? How come CENTO and SEATO were created outside of NATO? What exactly are "partners not allies"?
3
I don't even like using these antiquated words like "caste" -- it's ethnic quota politics which hampers merit-based hiring.

India does seem to consistently demonstrate cost advantages. This latest mission cost only $73 million. Besides being a backoffice for the world, could India become a space cabbie for the world?

@Scapestoat - there was no such thing as Ukraine - it was always just the Borderlands of Poland and Russia. Name Ukraine means Borderlands, and this is how Poland and Russia used to refer to their respective portions. Washington warmongers have helped the Polish portion of the Borderlands impose their control over the Russian portion. Those Washington warmongers can't even hope to hold onto power in Washington, let alone hold onto lands that are on the other side of the Atlantic. They are fighting too many battles on too many fronts, having even brought Moscow and Beijing together. It's all absurd, of course. The senility patient in the Oval Office looks even more corrupt than Woodrow Wilson, which is saying a lot.

rockets are not even a drop in the bucket compared to these age-old natural processes you mentioned

@1:21 - So Germany doesn't care about NATO alliance anymore??? They're a free agent now?

Is any radioactive contamination of the lunar surface likely to have happened due to the crash of nuclear-powered Luna-25?:body-blue-raised-arms:

@Atheist_GOD9 - it's mainly 3 districts, and it's AAP govt which has done it.

It's the new theme -- Dark Brandon, Dark NATO

@Lily Shanti don't try to hide behind weasel words. What you want is for those trapped under persecution to continue to be trapped and persecuted. Pakistan is oppressing those people, who were victims of partition. That partition was abetted by the Congress Party, thus condemning those people to live trapped under Pakistan's persecution. Those people are owed protection from that persecution, and those like you who want to see them persecuted deserve to be thrown into Pakistan to suffer in their place. Because you are a supporter of persecution, you deserve to experience it firsthand.

Hospital bombing looks to be false flag attack timed to coincide with Modi's visit. That's all Zelensky could stage on such short notice. As Zelensky's dictatorship continues to plunge to new lows, he'll eventually face a reckoning at the hands of the Ukrainian people whom he's led into this abyss. DW mentions Putin being internationally wanted for war crimes - never any mention of Netanyahu being wanted for the same. I guess support for ICC seems to wax and wane depending on who it puts in the crosshairs.
2
China may be backing this "people power" movement. China wants to install a pro-Beijing govt in Thailand, to get a canal built through the Thai peninsula. This would enable China to bypass the Straits of Malacca, which is a strategic chokepoint that hems China in.
2
@Bradymcbridhe8304 - ohh, the APEX DIASPORA, huh? They should at least put "keeping out non anglo countries" in their charter, just so everyone can understand what they're all about.
2
If I were Putin, I would withdraw from all nuclear test ban treaties, and begin testing nukes on home soil. Then I would start testing them on home soil near the border with Ukraine. Especially tactical nukes. And then if F16s or other missiles were to cross into Russian home territory, nuclear airbursts could be used to stop them at the border. Finally, protection should be extended to areas subjected to ethnic cleansing by Ukrainian forces, like Donetsk and Luhansk, so that any firing on them would result in nuclear response.

Wait - I thought we were at war with Eurasia. So are we now at war with Oceania? Or is that next week? Dammit, somebody update my sleep-teaching!

What about Brits like Boris who totally scuttled Ukraine's opportunity for peace with Russia?

@8:26 - Yanuckovitch was overthrown by force. It's absolute hypocrisy to declare the Maidan coup in 2014 to be "democracy" while declaring the Jan 6 2021 protests in Washington DC to be "insurrection". Hypocrisy and double standards just aren't sustainable. Altering US voting laws while falsely screeching allegations of "Jim Crow" won't be enough to sustain Washington's crooked imperialist racket. NATO is living on borrowed time. @15:31 - Did Biden really call Putin a killer? Or didn't hired media shill George Stephanopoulos just insert words into a feeble Biden's mouth, as if he was an empty vessel? Looked like the latter to me, frankly speaking. That stunt itself was done to shift the headlines away from the stern rebuke China gave to Biden's Secretary of State Blinken in Alaska by questioning the legitimacy of Biden's own govt, after Blinken tried to mouth the usual human rights line against Beijing.

US ran away from Afghanistan so that it could run towards its preferred war with Russia. Guess who got left holding the bag from that pants-around-ankles withdrawal? Today, yet again like so many other times, another Indian was killed in a terrorist attack -- shot by an American M4 carbine. Guess where those weapons came from? And then you have the nerve to spit on us? Talk about adding insult to injury.
2
This is what happens when media gang up irresponsibly to heap unlimited amounts of vitriol and venom on a candidate to demonize them. Remind you of anyone, DW?
2
Evan Dyer is lying - or at least distorting and misleading. Canada has provided no evidence, only allegations. Its media have likewise only parroted those allegations. Dyer is deceptively citing the evidence from the US case in support of Canada's allegations - which only reinforces that Canada has no evidence to present in support of its own allegations. The best thing at this point is to make all evidence public and rely on the court of public opinion. But Canada can't do that, since it has no evidence to prove its allegations.

Why isn't anyone asking what stand Chinese corporations are taking on Russia?
2
@the Chuck Rast Channel - China were the main backers of the Khmer Rouge (Pol Pot's own name was given to him by his Chinese handlers). The US pulled out of Cambodia quick, to facilitate the Chinese Khmer Rouge takeover. Since the Chinese wanted to keep a firm grip on the place, they just had their man Pol Pot massacre the population. The Khmer Rouge started their massacres first against ethnic Vietnamese inside Cambodia, in order to contain/counter the influence of Vietnam, which had just claimed victory in their war against the USA. When the Vietnamese invaded Cambodia in response to the massacres, both China and USA collaborated to give the Vietnamese their own Vietnam. That's what really prevented the feared Domino Effect from happening. Similar tactics wouldn't be possible following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, since there exists no KhmerRouge-type counterforce against Taliban.

Shahzad Ali you'll always undermine democracy no matter what, and will reap the negative consequences of it. That's why Pakistan is collapsing.

Was this a report on a Russian space mission to the Moon? Or was it just another reminder of how German media like to rake Russia over the coals? I guess that in spite of the vastness of space, there's no room for any science coverage anymore - at least on DW. :body-green-covering-eyes:
2
Sonia Phalnikar seems like a typical Indian Leftist who wear their Leftist ideology on their sleeve and brandish it wherever they go. It's a shame that Germany's DW is filling itself up with such people, who have a very slanted view of politics.
2
I don't think Scientific American is very scientific. Activism does not enhance scientific objectivity of credibility. Quite the contrary, it only leads to confirmation bias.
2
Ashok Swain is no expert or analyst, he's just a miscreant himself, who often makes a fool out of himself through immature boorish comments. :body-green-covering-eyes: Also, he speaks english very poorly, for an Indian.

@maximusvaliant8597 - that's how Zelensky plans to spend his retirement, after he runs away to a tropical haven, leaving his former countrymen high and dry. Washington bosses will ensure that any final agreement bars his extradition and repatriation.
