  8.  @Voltaicz  Those were separate empires. The Chola Empire never controlled the entirety of India. Modern India is an entity that the British created. So how on earth can you say that it would all still be a part of India when those empires and rose and fell and never controlled the entire region? Stop claiming the whole of Asia for goodness sake.

BTW, there are millions of East Asian-passing people in northern India and millions of brown-skinned-looking NE Indians like the Assamese. The leader of the separatist group that is fighting for Northeast Indian states to gain independence and is being sheltered by China atm literally looks no different to someone from mainland India.

  20.  @AbuHajarAlBugatti  Still waiting for the day that Singapore has its own Korean Wave, Taiwanese Wave or Hong Kong martial arts film/Cantopop trend. It's the only Asian Tiger economy without any significant pop culture influence. They should've done better to capitalise on "Crazy Rich Asians" back in the 2010s or they should partner with South Korea and create Singaporean girl groups that sing in English in the Kpop style, like that Japanese girl group that debuted (can't remember their name). Thailand's doing so much better in the pop culture department than Singapore, they even have girls from South Korea, China, India and all across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, competing in reality shows trying to debut in an Asian girl group that's based in Thailand and what does Singapore have? Nothing.

  21.  @AbuHajarAlBugatti  English is the main language of Singapore, it's also the unifying language of Singaporean people who are mostly of Chinese, Malay and Indian descent. They aren't going to lose anything if they followed the Kpop formula and also, Singapore is a country that is known as "east meets west" city because it is a mix of Asian and Western influences. Kpop is also not completely Western, they sing in Korean and their aesthetic is clearly based off of Korean ideals. Also, cultures develop. You can't expect a culture to remain the same for 3000 years.
