Donbass deserves as much support as possible, and Ukrainian aggression defeated. The West must stand firm against the Azov Nazis, on the side of freedom, democracy and human rights. Countries and people around the world must not bow to violent oppression and authoritarian rule from places like Kiev. Democracy is never perfect, but it is the best system we have, and respects the rights of all. If repressive regimes are so great, why do people continue to flee despotic places like Ukraine?

Nothing that happens in Kursk will change anything. It's what is happening in Donbass that is leading towards a Russian victory.
5
a lot more freedoms in Russia than UK
5
@thuncerd1087 NATO too cowardly to even sent men to fight.
5
What's the point in deporting someone across an open border?
5
if that is the real problem, then every single food producer has agreed to form a cartel, and not single one of them has refused to join the cartel and offer slighltly lower prices to corner the market. really?
5
@Ron_Coletta Talking about the different culture you have in Germany, do you think Germans are particularly keen to support the Azov Nazis and their Ukrainian Russophobic nationalism because it feels close to the ideals of Lebensraum and Germany for the Germans?
5
@ddhh1270 every single army that has the capacity to do so and decides to do so. What's your point?
5
@aurelia5614 if only you knew how well organized and democratic Russian elections are. No ballot harvesting and all the corruption that goes with postal voting as we see in the West.
5
@el3ndir97 I have no problem with anyone enjoying life in Monaco. It's a great place, so let Putin and co enjoy it. It is clear that, in the UK, when policy is driven by an unelected prime minister (in power NOT by popular vote) and a foreign secretary (in his post but unelected by ANY voters) that democracy has died in the West. At least Russia showed us how real democracy works.
5
@hendrixinfinity3992 on the contrary. Socialists commit pogroms. Ever heard of the National Socialist Workers Party? The Far Right are Libertarians.
5
@ReggieThePug now that I agree with. it is absolutely shameful that the government that got us into this mess should have any pay rise at all. in fact, the salary for a government MP should be the inverse of the inflation they are responsible for. 12% inflation should = 12% decrease in MPs pay.
5
@mac7040 so if this is such a wonderful money saver, why does no one buy it?
4
@alexpp219 Did Russia want to take Kiev last March? Nope.
4
@cormchm2853 makes a lot more sense to go to an Arab speaking country, like Saudi Arabia. No rampant Islamophobia in Saudi. So much closer to make the Hajj when you live in Saudi.
4
@nerdyali4154 and now the truth...Poroshenko and Zelensky are jointly responsible. Donbass and Crimea wanted to control their own destinies free of Ukrainian control and Kiev is afraid of that. That is he bottom line and anything else is justificatory rubbish from Kiev and politically based conspiracy theorising from Westerners. Donbass needs help, but they are determined to fight even without it. Denying them help would just condemn even more of them to death. Thank you, Russia
4
@AtheistEve so, you assume the UN and its courts understand the rights and wrongs of a dispute better than those involved? by what means would any UN court decision be enforced, given there is no UN police or army? how did the League of Nations do in handling the rise of Fascism? would you be absolutely fine if the UN court authorized Israel to annex Gaza? would Hamas accept such a court decision? are you 12 years old?
4
@a564-c3q Russia is not Moscow, just as Germany is not Berlin. Associating the history of a capital city with a nation and culture is childish. Russia has been where it is forever! Kievan Rus was part of Russia. The notion of "Ukraine" did not exist then, in fact the name Ukraine tells you that the area is on the edge, or borderlands of.....Russia! The correct plant analogy would be that the whole tree is Russia, and the seed of that tree has the name "Kievan Rus". "Ukraine" is just the name of the gardener who came along a lot later and never understood how the roots of the tree were so intertwined with the tree itself.
4
Oh, so we know the nationality of the hero who intervened to stop the attack, but not the nationality of the attacker! How very odd!
4
"It'll be his (Biden's) name on the ballot come November" wanna bet?
4
what's silly is thinking NATO/Ukraine could ever defeat Russia in a land war.
4
@TheNoobPube given that the majority of Germans would never tolerate its army waging war against Russia, safe to say the Germans wouldn't even step on the battlefield. though I must say, those Kinzhal missiles Germany has developed are impressive...oh, wait, that would be Russia, not Germany. Germany, so powerful it can't even prevent or find out who blew up its own oil pipelines. you are so funny.
4
@anthonymullen6300 either way, shows you the lengths some people will go to keep the war going and prevent peace.
4
@mdjey2 why are you crying "Kremlin propaganda" when the call for peace talks is common sense and humanitarian? When your country is getting destroyed it is 100% logical to request peace talks. All Zelensky has to do is to call Putin and say "we are ready to talk peace". easy to do, if you care for your people.
4
fair enough, so what was all this hypocritical talk from the West about allowing Ukraine to defend itself but not being a part of any attack on Russia? Why no honesty from the start? If UK is fine with Ukraine attacking Russia, get ready for Russia to be fine and help ISIS attack UK, over and over again.
4
just staggering that Chan 4 still puts credence into anything announced by the Ukrainian military. Chan 4 still expecting Ghost of Kiev to win the day.
4
yeah, well, plans change when red lines are crossed. looks like NATO and Ukraine chose to learn the hard way.
4
@climatedeniersbelonginasyl4191 no one is going to die from climate change, only from hysteria and stupidity
4
@markhayward7400 and Blair did that, not by raising the living standards of the poor, but by squeezing the rich and thus encouraging the haves to leave the country, resulting in smaller tax revenues from that point on. such a marvellous "gain".
4
@ant318 oh, i see, so when EU countries have a much worse situation than the UK it is for reasons OTHER than Brexit, but when UK has a worse situation than certain EU nations, then the cause MUST be Brexit. Got it. By the way, walk me through it, why would a "border situation" result in rampant inflation? explain, step by step .
4
businesses don't pay taxes. individuals pay taxes. Businesses just transfer any taxes due onto the individual consumers by adjusting prices, so your big scheme won't work.
4
@nigelsynnott7344 it hasn't already been done because the government has no spine. if UK had admitted hordes of illegal immigrants who then invaded France in small boats, I would fully support the French in their efforts to tow all such boats back to the UK. In the situation you describe, the UK would be responsible, and should be responsible, for every illegal immigrant it admitted onto its soil, not France.
4
@silvasdamata Name me the "serious" opposition candidates excluded! You are probably one of those who thinks convicted plotter and traitor Navalny actually registered higher than 5% at the height of his popularity, or rather unpopularity, right?
4
@BubbyBold par for the course, the likes of you resort to threats when you can't argue any points with any intellect or insight.
4
hysterical that 4 abandoned villages and a pig farm is considered such a grand victory after 15% of Ukraine's western tanks and IFV's are destroyed, thousands of ukronazi troops massacred and Ukraine nowhere near even the first line of Russian fortifications after 10 days. Russia clearly winning. NATO in panic that things have gone so badly. where is Zaluzhny? where is Budanov?
3
curious how she focuses on hate messages of the Irish "far right" but says nothing of the hate messages of the Muslim "far right", the Quranic call for jihad and death to the infidel. Well, looks like the Dublin jihadi will survive, so no heaven and 72 virgins for him this time, though no doubt he will try again.
3
you can be as adaptive as you like, when you are recruiting 16 yr olds and giving them just a month of training, you are going to lose. Slava Rossiyi
3
@seanpittaway5341 and talking of "cowards' war", doesn't get more cowardly than NATO! No guts to actually fight, only to give money and weapons to the poor country getting destroyed! Yellow-bellied NATO, just like how they fled in panic from Kabul last year, butts kicked by the Taliban
3
@UNNYANEMPEROR38 no one is arguing that point. the point is that Russian men have the freedom to leave Russia if they fear conscription, as evidenced by the large number of Russian men who have fled to Turkey, Georgia, Kazakstan etc. Not one of them has been refused exit. Ukraine, on the other hand, has refused all fighting age men, and now women, from leaving the country. Ukraine has lost all freedom of movement. So don't try telling me Ukraine is the more free and democratic of the two. It's nonsense, and the West has been duped into thinking Ukraine is a democracy.
3
@mochtegerndane7097 given the cost of living in the West since the sanctions on Russia backfired, and given the strength of the ruble, I'll take it.
3
@AtheistEve just curious, offering safe refuge but no further involvement, the policy you believe Russia should have abided by, would you say that Hamas should do exactly the same, offer a refuge in Gaza for any Palestinians, but no involvement with Israel beyond that?
3
@AtheistEve when you say states should "stay within their own borders" does that mean their rockets, missiles and bombs should too? So, Hamas and Hezbollah should stop attacking Israel, agreed? And Ukraine needs to get out of Kursk, agreed? Also, what happens when there is a border dispute? Who gets to decide whether Crimea is Russian or Ukrainian? Let me guess, delegates from Bahamas and Burkina Faso in a UN back room?
3
@solomonblack6344 very true. and in fact, Russia is now fighting within Russia, in Kursk.
3
@a564-c3q territorial integrity does not include the compelling of a separatist region to remain part of the mother country forever, otherwise International Law would forbid USA from having any right to have ever seceded from Great Britain.
3
the usual pro Ukraine propaganda. Bakhmut is a Russian meatgrinder, Wagners have no real need to seize the city while Zelensky is doing so well serving up his cannon fodder to the daily artillery slaughter. Russia winning the war of attrition as it did in Chechnya and Syria
3
200 million pounds spent on missiles? wow! nearly as much as the UK spends on accommodating illegal immigrants in hotels.
3
@candidaprout8441 agreed. if only Ukraine had stuck with negotiations back in March, 2022, instead of convincing themselves that NATO could deliver victory.
3
@Faby-tp7hz maybe. the same outfit that destroyed Nordstream decided to sacrifice one of their deluded, elderly assets to warn peaceniks around the world to just let the Ukraine war keep rolling along.
3
"not bad for a young lad from Ukraine" yep, nothing racist at all in speculating how a young person from a modest background made it so big. this is yet another example of searching for racism where there is none.
3
@Swish-x7b what makes you so sure I am not living in Russia and am not able to make the perfect comparison that you can't make? in Russia, saying that a man cannot become a woman will never get you anything but a round of applause, unlike the woke nonsense that goes on in the UK. How many stabbings did you have today in the UK? take one in the heart yourself, did you?
