@TheJrr71 I am fully aware of what the case is all about. Are you? It sounds like you are saying that a person is automatically deemed guilty of fraud whenever he/she submits a property evaluation at two different moments in time for 2 separate purposes! Really? How many years in prison should we give for a person who claims their property is worth $100,000 when applying for a bank loan, but $80,000 when assessed death duties? 10 years in jail a reasonable sentence for the millions of people who estimate high and estimate low depending on the purpose? When a disclaimer is posted on page ONE of such evaluations that the estimate is only an estimate and should be evaluated by the other party concerned, where I am from, that means no crime has been committed. Thank God I don't live in NY or USA these days. Ukraine has less corruption. This stuff happens in every country in every continent every bloody day, it's how business is done and there is nothing illegal about it at all. Again, who are the victims of this and who lost out on the loans granted and the loans re-paid?
2
@TheJrr71 The defence did not contest the evidence, because the evidence was in their favor. the evidence did NOT demonstrate persistent fraud. that is your assumption and the corrupt judge's assumption. but anyone knowledgeable about property evaluations and how different appraisals are submitted for different purposes know that this is NOT fraud, it is how negotiations take place when loans and repayments are discussed. it's business, not fraud. if it were fraud, the banks concerned would have brought fraud charges, instead of the corrupt unhinged NY AG.
2
Nah, don't believe it. Burns went to give Zelensky the bad news. NATO is close to out of weapons and ammo and the new Congress will probably not sign off on more aid, so Ukraine needs to prepare for harder times ahead. it is the beginning of the throwing Ukraine under the bus process...then it will be time to move on to the next victim country, probably Taiwan.
2
Only the swing states are relevant. Trump will regain GA, PA, WI, and Trump will retain FL, OH, ain't nothing Biden can do about it.
2
he's contesting the validity of the subpoena, which is his right.
2
@harold9394 the truth hurts, eh? such a subpoena from such a committee goes against executive privilege, to be decided by the Supreme Court.
2
@alanbellas513 sure, but you obviously don't. it's "Lebensraum"...get the spelling right and we might think you know something about it
2
@colby25 absolutely. Russia is a nuclear power. so, what's your point? do you realise that Pakistan has nukes on India's border?
2
@colby25 1) right, so "pulling a Hitler" is defined by the very flimsy notion of removal of a leader one sees as legitimate. after 8 years of the Azov Battalion shelling Donbass I consider both Poroshenko and Zelensky as terrorists and war criminals, so to me, and to millions around the globe, Putin is in no way "pulling a Hitler" That is settled. 2) your definition of "far right" and mine are very different. to me, and many others, any person who is happy to have a national hero who is responsible for the murder of 4000 Jews in a pogrom in Lvov would count as far right. that would account for most of Ukraine. Can you imagine the UK declaring Oswald Mosely a national hero? Can you imagine a Mussolini Street running through downtown Milan? Only in Ukraine would such far right ideology be acceptable. shame on you for embracing such.
2
@johnroche7541 regarding Nazis in Russia and other counties.....no one denies there is a Nazi presence in Russia, as there is in all countries. The difference is ONLY Ukraine embraces its Nazis and makes its number one Nazi, Bandera, a national hero. And ONLY Ukraine openly welcomes a Nazi regiment into its national defence force and celebrates them. If you can't see the difference between state sanctioned Nazis that are glorified and honored, as opposed to skinhead football fans, I can't help you.
2
@johnroche7541 USA - "I'm a white supremacist, David Duke is my hero, I am a member of the KKK, can I join the Marines?" ANSWER = NO Ukraine - "I'm a white supremacist, Stefan Bandera is my hero, I am an Azov member, and Tornado member too, can I join the Ukrainian army?" ANSWER - OH YES, WELCOME TO THE UKRAINIAN DEFENCE FORCE MY BROTHER
2
@alanbellas513 All parties agreed on autonomy for Donbass, but Ukraine refused to implement Minsk and Poroshenko, Hollande and Merkel confessed the terms of Minsk were of no importance, that Minsk was all about winning time for Ukraine to build up its military and develop economically. This is why Putin will not trust the West again. Regarding Budapest Memo, take a look at point 6 of the memo, and tell me which side ignored point 6.
2
@bonnie7898 quick question...when the "defensive" alliance, NATO, bombed the s**t out of Libya, which NATO member nation was it "defending"? Belgium?
2
@nenadmitrovic3469 yep, funny how NATO thought supporting separatists in Kosovo and attacking sovereign Serbia was fine, but that Russia supporting Donbass separatists and attacking "sovereign" Ukraine is awful. i guess that is all in the international rules bases order, somehow?!
2
@bonnie7898 Putin and I agree. we don't see Ukraine as a separate country. So what? I don't see Belgium or Catalonia as separate countries? so what? what's your point?
2
and the funny thing is, Zelensky is STILL pouring in more Ukronazi cannon fodder into the Wagner meatgrinder! Zelensky must really hate his own youth.
2
and you would too if the law didn't compel you to.
2
@stephenphillips1660 the committee that subpoened him had no right to demand he attend at all, and the method of issuing the subpoena was irregular to say the least. Do you believe that anyone subpoened by any committee is obliged to appear? really?
2
almost as horrific as people who speak out against Zelensky
2
the problem is, the Wagners may not have been sucked in, and, on the contrary, the Ukronazi cannon fodder has been wiped out in a futile defence of an unimportant town. Zelensky is no Churchill.
2
so a bunch of mercenaries and convicts, low on morale, running out of ammo, incompetent and desperate, has just routed Ukraine's finest battalions, NATO trained, NATO armed, NATO advised. let that sink in. explains the panic in the West about how to get out of this mess.
2
@rogerwilco5918 truth hurts, eh, Roger?
2
@RussiasSufferingInUkraine so you tell me, Ukraine's finest brigades are where? On the border of Belarus watching the Russians amassing their forces? just useless cannon fodder told to die in Soledar? you tell me.
2
@rogerwilco5918 which part are you disputing? it is Western media, not me, that has repeated the claim (and it is true) that Wagners recruited criminals. Do you dispute that?
2
so, the Azov Nazis shelling a market place in Donetsk is an example of the Ukrainians waging war only against the Russian military?
2
I'm sure those poll numbers will flip once Biden destroys Trump in the debate they have.
2
@ronaldcole7415 let's start with this absurd focus on territory lost or gained. Given the 5 aims as declared by Putin, gaining Ukrainian territory is not the priority. Demilitarizing Ukraine is the priority, meaning killing as many Ukrainian soldiers as possible. Western leaders should be analyzing the numbers killed, the kill rate, and determining all policy decisions on those numbers. cheering for the "liberation of Kherson" is wasting your breath, Studying the kill rate of Ukrainians over Russians in that operation would be useful to get an idea of who is winning this war of attrition. Many of us suspect it is Russia. Soldedar has been lost to Russia....now if a bunch of mercenaries and convicts have routed Ukraine's finest battalions in Soledar, an expert like you would be more than concerned that Ukraine ain't gonna win no war of attrition, correct?
2
@lennyrex1 Russia never fought in Afghanistan. Get out a history book and an atlas and find out the difference between the USSR and the Russian Federation. Also, try to get a clue about people's nationality, so you don't confuse Russians with Brits. Yes, USA went to Syria to overthrow Assad, US troops still in Syria, but Russia intervened, fought its usual war of attrition, and won. back to school with you, little Kevin.
2
@scurra1163 problem is, only a few people in the Kremlin know Russia's death toll. You don't, but for some reason you like to think you do. what we do know is, by Ukraine's own admission, six out of every seven artillery shells rain down on Ukrainian positions, and just one on Russia's positions. Logic says the kill rate is in Russia's favor. in a war of attrition, preserving your forces is key. Russia has shown it does this. Ukraine hasn't. it is Western propaganda that kept repeating the line about "mercenaries and convicts", not me. so now Western media have to explain how "mercenaries and convicts" destroyed NATO trained battalions in Soledar. tough sell to the Western taxpayers.
2
so Tucker was right. all the lies from the Leftist media about Sicnic dying from anything on Jan 6th are all lies. CNN should be ashamed
2
Ukraine has lost. it's all about manpower, and Ukraine is reduced to scraping the bottom of the barrel for teenagers, misfits, and pensioners to shove into the Russian meatgrinder.
2
@ryaku5 let's take bets. who falls first? Zelensky or Putin? How much you willing to bet on this one?
2
Alex Perez every day Russia loses fewer troops than Ukraine is a victory. every day Russia loses fewer tanks than Ukraine is a victory. Russia has been winning for the last 3 months.
2
@snowlady8308 only after Zelensky has sold all his overseas property to fund his war.
2
shows how clueless this "reporter" is, unable to understand why Putin would invade.
2
@bonnie7898 "the aim is to weaken Russia"..Lloyd Austin
2
this is the sh*t that happens when you decide to intercept a missile heading for a power plant and you succeed in redirecting it into a block of flats. Ukraine responsible. Next time, save your citizens and let it hit the power plant.
2
@dandansen571 what for?
2
@johnriach8365 How many children in Donbass have been killed by Azov Battalion shelling?
2
@YouTubeExplore777 Russians in Donbass have left....and they brought their ancestral homeland with them. DPR and LPR are now part of Russia, as it should be. All those who want to remain part of the Ukronazi republic are free to do so.
2
@YouTubeExplore777 Does Kosovo belong to Serbia?
2
@dorotazapolnik234 and Churchill was responsible for war in Normandy. so what's your point?
2
@sookie_the_fairy maybe thank him for the balls up! he got no clue!
2
@donnypaul6262 if the good people of kaliningrad so vote, why not? when NATO is destroyed and energy costs are through the roof, you may find Germans wanting to live in Kaliningrad.
2
@donnypaul6262 had the Allies not declared war on Nazi Germany, not a single shell or rifle would have been fired! complete peace, no war! so, I guess your point is that any leader who chooses to invade another sovereign territory is wrong, always?
2
@takeitasacompliment. I said that my Ukrainian students are my source for information on Ukraine, and made no mention of what ideas I may offer them on what subject, so, rather like the BBC, you make rather wild assumptions. My role is rather to ask questions and listen carefully to answers, such as, do you support the independence of Kosovo, and why? maybe you would care to answer that one?
2
@donnypaul6262 given that the vast majority of the world is more than happy to work with Russia and trade with Russia, not sure you understand the word "pariah"
2
@donnypaul6262 "vaccinations" or "vacations"? Contact me if you need help with basic English.
2
@dandansen571 Russia has plenty of trading partners, so no need for Europe as a client anymore, even though Europe did increase purchases from Russia dramatically last year! Energy costs have levelled off....at a very high level! Europe's industries are struggling, as are the poor, but don't let that bother you.
2
@dandansen571 and there I was thinking there might be either humor or a point to your joke!
