@LiftedBuddha repeatedly

They say blood is thicker than water, but that's not really saying much now is it?
2
Hopefully we can win a lot of primaries. The GOP aren't the only ones shooting for their seats.
2
@CptApplestrudl yup and yup
2
Kyle doesn't even read much less police his comments you lying shit
2
@endeavourist5287 well of course. To a real conservative, the goal is simply the maintenance of neofeudalism. The culture war points are merely diversions to divide and conquer. To the fascist, however.....
2
Zachary CHERIF do you not understand the concept of a calculated risk or do you disagree with the assessment of wikileak's intentions presented in the video? I respect that you're angry, but your position is unclear.
2
Jordan A'BernieBro wouldn't call them "libreals" though

Yeah, I'm just a strong advocate of calling a spade a spade and not letting politicians change the definitions of words (because they have proven they will take a mile if you give them an inch on that subject). There's so much arguing that goes on that boils down to people throwing terms they're misusing at each other as insults that I've decided that it's actually worth being pedantic and very precise with language for political terms and to encourage others to do the same. It's also really valuable to put into context just how much they've changed and how far to the right political discussion has moved. Tl;dr: I believe the real definition of these words carry useful information, and as information is power, I want the public armed with the real thing.
2
@danellymani205 what about when she withheld evidence that would have proven a defendant's innocence or when she kept people in jail longer specifically to exploit them for their labor?
2
@jayqpublic6209 not real sure what that first bit was about or if you understood I was agreeing with you.
2
@jayqpublic6209 np, text doesn't carry tone well

Maher is, and has always been, a tool for the establishment Dems to dirrect the anger of the left in the dirrection the want. That used to mean riling the left up and pointing them at Bush and the GOP, but him being turned on the left is really telling of where the establishment is going. The other roll he serves is for his performance (and let's be honest, it is a performance) to defign the left-most position of acceptable political thought.
2
Because he's 1 "let them eat cake" comment from a guillotine
2
This is ageism. This is a crime against humanity.
2
Jeremy Chase he's not a liar. To be a liar, he has to believe otherwise, but I think he's completely bought his own rhetorical slight of hand and completely lacks the self-awareness to see his own biases (or even that he's starting from said baises, rather than evidence and logic). Ironically, if he didn't have the disdain for anthropology and post-modernism he does, his extensive education might have actually expanded his mind rather than just building walls around it.
2
As long as corporations are still allowed to pay lobbyists and give former politicians cushy "jobs" after they gat out, this doesn't change that that much beyond optics.
2
@sirius1696 what's the difference?
2
It's not the biggest thing they need to be doing, but getting one of those simple things that's just objectively the right call and in basically everyone's interest to change off the list of things we need to do is something at least. Kinda like if we could just stop wasting money creating pennies... So many dumb things we do just out of tradition that we could just...not do...
2
@matthewrutters6842 you mean believe in the "great replacement" conspiracy theory?
2
Don yeah, we call them spin doctors, but maybe spin magicians would be more accurate as they use the same principles of distraction and misrepresentation to work their craft and spin their illusions.
2
....unfortunately, she hasn't either. Not even close. I can point you in the direction of far crazier if you want.
2
I think everyone knows what they're doing as soon as they feel the other person go limp. Anything after that is just intent to kill.
2
They will try to do so again. We need to completely swamp the primaries to make them choose between letting him win and blatent enough rigging that the general population will no longer be able to have any illusions of democratic government...which opens the doors for all sorts of public action (legal and otherwise).
2
@ksnyder586 the first time I got foodstamps was while working 5 days/week at one of the hardest jobs I've ever had. You don't know what I've experienced and your point is irrelevant to the point I was making. Try actually reading what people are saying instead of what you think they're saying so you can spout a talking point.
2
Contagious? When have US problems ever stayed within our borders? This kind of shit is a huge part of why I stay and resist rather than fleeing to another nation with a higher standard of living (for now).
1
savydude1 you do know that doesn't necessarily guarantee a fair outcome right? Considering you're dismissing arguments about how election systems could be structured to be more fair, I doubt it.
1
Steven Anchundia Regan is more liberal than Obama in many ways...we need to reverse this slide to the right that the DNC has been helping with ASAP
1
To be fair, Americans have a habbit of pronouncing everything our own way.
1
What's the difference between a news station which hires hosts who knowingly tow the corporate line, and one which hires people too out of touch to realize they are and firing them when they get a clue? Effectively nothing.
1
@eyuin5716 most of us don't, but some do, and all need him.
1
@stephaniec9539 yeah well, anyone who wants the job probably shouldn't have it.
1
@James Henry Smith ....what? O.o
1
Oh look, you said "Zionism" and a Nazi popped his head up.
1
@mistabobdobalina7054 setting aside your gross oversimplification of middle east foreign policy, shall we start with the dude subbed to multiple white supremacists (including David Duke) calling Trump a Jew as a way to explain his actions? Come on now, don't be so naive.
1
The CIA has never been that different to the KGB.

Along with how many lives?
1
@Mimosa Baker catagorical, adj: without exceptions or conditions; absolute; unqualified and unconditional Oppose, verb: to act against or provide resistance to; combat Ethnonationalism, noun: A type of nationalism which defines the nation in terms of a shared ethnicity Does that clear it up for you?
1
Good. Btw kiddos, if you take the paddle from the teacher the flat causes pain and red marks. The edge can break bones.
1
@ikexbankai a-neutral=/=objective And b-his criticisms of his own network were pretty objective.

"Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past." -Jean-Paul Sartre (speaking of something applicable to all fascists) ". . .they legitimately do not care whether the words coming out of their mouths are true." https://youtu.be/xMabpBvtXr4

Maher's a shill for the DNC. He's a mere tool for them to define the leftmost position within the overton window and to direct the left's outrage in a direction the establishment finds useful. His actual positions don't matter, as what he values is his cushy paycheck. It's really that simple.
1
You had an ex who told you, and perhaps believed, she was abducted. Occum's razor doesn't point to it actually having happened.
1
It's all projection. All of it. No exceptions.
1
Of couse they did. Who would expect anything else?
1
I mean, there was the Iran deal, but the guy he expanded executive power for on his way out the door ripped that up.
1
More to the point, if you're a brat who thinks you're entitled to sex, surprise! No-one will want to sleep with you. It's amazing how many people don't get something that simple. ("You" not meaning you, specifically, of course)
1
Remember when CNN Photoshoped Bernie to make him look ill? I do.
1
@laurabeaudoin3335 he's not even a true democratic socialist. He's not advocating anything post-capitalism.
1
