@rtg5881 you have no clue what fascism is if you think vaccine mandates are fascism. The fascists are even (basically universally) opposed to the vaccine mandates...just like in Germany where they rolled back existing ones back you know when.
1
@JazzJackrabbit perhaps. It can be hard to tell sometimes.
1
@HelicopterShownUp it's actually not a bad argument. Abortion prohibition follows the same dynamics of alcohol and other drug prohibitions: it doesn't reduce the rates. It only pushes it to a black market. The anti-choice crowd doesn't care and opposes legal abortions along with everything that would actually lower abortion rates because they never cared about abortion rates in the first place. It exposes their claimed aims as lies and lets us move past those to see what their actual motivation is, which is plain-old misogyny.
1
You should be, but there is an amendment created for exactly this situation.
1
@drsusredfish no he hasn't. You just nominated a candidate who's against the rule of law...again. Don't be surprised when lawyers begrudgingly stand up to oppose you.
1
Here's a little cue you can look for: Uniforms matter and colors matter. Police normally wear blue because it invokes feelings of calm and rational behavior in the viewer and wearer alike. This subtly promotes descalation for all parties. If you see officers in black, a choice has been made to abandon even the appearance of descalation to project power and domination. If you ever see a cop in black, you have a problem. If you see cops in black and don't see that as strange, you have a crisis. This is the crisis boiling over. Trump is able to act like he does because a dictator's toolkit was left in the Oval Office for him.
1
There are black KKK members. Being a member of a group doesn't mean you can't hate that group.
1
@INFJason if it was about fetuses, the "pro-life" crowd wouldn't be obsessed with pushing bans that don't lower abortion rates while opposing everything that would actually lower abortion rates. When you call yourselves "pro-life" it's a lie. You're not even anti-abortion. You just want to punish women for sex ... because you hate them.
1
@salvadorramirez2507 this court has proven to be willing to flat-out lie to push its agenda (like its erasing of abortion being a normally accepted right back in the nation's founding). "How" is simple: pretend the facts are whatever would be convenient for them to mean to push more bigotry and discrimination.
1
For the same reason that being Anti-Nazi isn't anti-white. Only the most racist make the equivocation.
1
@aliastheabnormal being right about major political predictions for the last 2 decades is a grim form of satisfaction, I can confirm.
1
Ground News makes the mistake of thinking Dems are left-wing. Common for Americans but still a serious problem.
1
I'll admit interest, but my stance is that our self defence laws are so poorly written that cases like his aren't open and shut matters with an obvious outcome...and that's for the states with better-written ones.
1
What's wrong them? Fascism, plain and simple.
1
@noyes8882 And once again the ranks of the fascist demagogues are largely filled with failed artists of varying types....
1
They will be mockingly denying it's fascism while loading us into train cars. They revel in dishonesty.
1
@Bacteriophagebs the rich and powerful assholes want you scared the other ones are going to take your guns away so you buy more guns and keep voting for them and are distracted from real and important issues. Not anti-second ammendment. Just giving you a heads up that you've lost the plot.
1
@Bacteriophagebs did I say you were talking about voting for anyone, or did I talk about how the "they're coming for the guns" propaganda is a misdirection that profits certain companies who legally bribe certain politicians who spread it while politically benefiting?
1
@Bacteriophagebs yes, said in reference to the intended goals of the politicians...I'm sorry, are you incapable of reading at a highschool grade level?
1
@Bacteriophagebs those sentences mean, fundamentally, the exact same thing, yes. Please learn how logic and the English language work, or you won't be capable of engaging in this conversation.
1
Depends on if one sees the American people as disposable subjects or citizens.
1
@stacythomas9916 the mistake you're making is thinking that the far-right cares about truth or the definitions of words. They only believe in words having connections, not meanings.
1
Also Legal Eagle "I shouldn't be laughing at this carnage." The juxtaposition there is platinum then, I suppose.
1
@Thisguy651 if you think caring about the rule of law is "extremely left leaning" you're as far right as the Germans were 90 years ago and have no idea what the left actually is.
1
@PaulWeiss-b7s we live in a DEMOCRATIC republic. Democracy is part of our system.
1
@PaulWeiss-b7s you're just further proving you don't know what words mean
1
When was the last time the US created a big problem that didn't envelope the world? We're kinda all in this together.
1
Correct and correct.
1
The only thing we did wrong at the Nuremberg trials was stopping them.
1
@daketora they don't care about the explicit rights either. No ink on page can protect you from a government that desires to "conveniently misread" it. And no, it's not supposed to take 3/4ths of the country to enshrine a right.
1
@bens5859 you're incredibly naive in your presumption of good faith.
1
@daketora 3/4th of the states not 3/4ths of the people. It's only supposed to take about 2/3rds of the people.
1
@DVG7093 don't think that means you're immune from the same thing happening where you live. Fascism is a global movement.
1
Not the Dems, that's for sure! No one's coming to save us. We going to have to save each other.
1
Here's just one example illustrated. https://youtu.be/d1gFhTGB3II
1
@JoshSweetvale depends on the crowd and if the tank has infantry support. Tanks are actually really vulnerable to some simple and iconic insurgent tactics if they don't have backup.
1
It's amazing how many of the people pushing this would call themselves "American patriots" when our country was founded in large part on "F* the nobility, and the British nobility in particular"
1
They've already started with political opposition.
1
@heathermcgrath22 it's not. Be armed and aware.
1
@vontosmagicmurderbag2611 that's not, strictly speaking, true. Deer may not hunt humans, but can be dangerous and kill (particularly stags, though a doe may fight if she thinks you a threat to her fawns and they are still large hoofed animals even without the antlers).
1
@tino9117 elections are ALWAYS high stakes for someone.
1
@WarPigstheHun no, the party has been garbage for a long time. That's part of how we got Trump. We also don't need 2 right wing parties.
1
@WarPigstheHun no, the party has been total garbage for a long time. That's part of how we got Trump. We also don't need 2 right-wing parties.
1
@WarPigstheHun no it doesn't and hasn't for a very long time. Trump is your party showing its true colors and is the result of decades of propaganda from a far-right party with no left-wing counter narrative.
1
@WarPigstheHun no it doesn't and hasn't for a very long time. Trump is your party showing its true colors.
1
@excentrik5725 you're projecting
1
@JustAPasserby-e6z good. This country shouldn't be trusted, and not just because of Trump.
1
@emsleywyatt3400 if by "Trumpism" you mean "fascism" then no...that won't stop until we get some actual left wing politics to give people an alternative to the status quo that isn't fascism. Kamala buys time but doesn't fix the root of the problem, so it will come back as soon as the next 'dear leader' comes up to replace Trump.
1
"people"
1
@akumakorgar if they're a supporter of the CCP, of course they don't understand any leftist theory.
