@aurelius.m Dreaming.
27
@viktorsundberg3101 Gripen uses US tech, too.
7
Too late, bro. And no one in EU will sacrifice his country for Ukraine or the Baltics...
5
@Damogen Europes role was to legalize usa actions against international law.
5
@clausholm4130 Well, not you will decide that.
4
@kevinh5349 And you are smart. But be realistic, there were zero security threats in Europe in the last decades.
4
@rogerkarlsson3996 Also Europe had its big opportunity after the collapse of the USSR and it missed it. From Lisboa to Vladivostok, if you remember. Europe is lost completely.
4
@ajkulac9895 Russia is just fine for what they are doing.
3
@sgjoni Cute. USSR left Europe volunteerly. I am curious when US occupation of Germany will end.
3
@sergelecluse0001 The American disconnect? Cute. Europe thinks it has a word in power politics.
3
@miknew20 About the American disconnect? I see disconnect from reality by Anders, inside the MSM echo chamber and wishful thinking + speculation related. Europe cannot do anything alone, Ukraine lost (even with US help it is done except with Nato boots on the ground when everybody loses). But Europe will do what US tells to do as Europe overall has no own foreign policy, just blah blah and whining in this case before they do what US wants them to do.
3
@memirandawong So you are still spending your life in an echo chamber.... from the video: 'Russia is losing the war...', 'Russia is collapsing' ....God, people in echo chambers have such a short memory... 2 years old video.
3
@wrongun635 When there are no arguments, Nafo has this magic word.
2
@billbradley4878 And the US has a point here: showing who is the boss. But even in cold war the US was the boss, of course that time there was a more real threat in Europe than now.
2
@ajkulac9895 Can, but could not give support. The number 1 problem is the manpower issue. Time to deal with the reality: Ukraine lost.
2
@DuckFonaldTrump And now go back to 2008: ukraine wants no nato, keeps its neutrality declared in their base law in 1991 and keeps everything: territory, minerals, cheap gas from Russia, all of their markets, etc. And no millions of wounded and dead and a sold out country. And if you have not seen this in 2008, or at leats in 2014, you were completely misinformed.
2
@FatBobGer I still remember how Mr. Orban was attacked in 2015 about the failed migration policy of the West...
2
@smartin_b5314 I suggest to take a look on other development timelines. No way to get a combat ready mass produced F35 level 5th gen in 15 years and for that time F35 will be way cheaper and way better.
2
@memirandawong Without bias?
2
@memirandawong You are not too familiar with facts then. :)
2
@memirandawong Facts require verified incoming data, which is pretty much not available at all. Speculations we have mostly, Occams razor, etc. Facts... not really. Some of the things get verified with time or historical archives left unaltered could help, but for real time events including politics... no way for having facts or being unbiased for typical people.
2
@memirandawong Just roll over his video titles... this guy suggested Russia blew up Nord Stream...no one with a single brain cell thought this by common sense....but objective and unbiased, eh? :DDD
2
@memirandawong Objective opinion or how you call it - should be based on facts. When not supported by facts, it is called speculation. Guy was wrong on 3 cases in that video based on his bad judgement and lack of objectivity. I was right on all of the 3 mentioned cases 2 years ago. Everybody called me a Putinist and here we are. Experts failed because of biases and lack of common sense. As a hobbyist I was proved right. It is possible to guess some twisted reasoning behind everything and sound like an expert, but Occams razor + Cui Bono helps a lot.
2
@memirandawong You do not disagree with my thinking, you do not think. A fact is a fact. Objective itself, no opinion needed. Water boils at sea level at 100 degree celsius. That is a fact, no need to be objective, no need for opinion. Expresses itself. It is true, water does not care about your objective or subjective approach.
2
@memirandawong Bias=not studying, examining, communicating something from an objective, neutral approach. Anders is the typical example for that. If you believe him and you are happy with the result you paid for, enjoy it. But he is speculative and heaviliy biased. But for recognizing that you need to be out of the msm echo chamber or face with his failures. And here comes the psychological aspect what typically makes it impossible for the most of people: recognizing when they are wrong.
2
@memirandawong I could not change your mind, only you could do that. Emotions are usually stronger than arguments. This is how typical human minds work. And I do not plan more arguing as it is pointless. Just think about the NS blow up video. Was it factual? Was it based? Was it objective? What became true in 2 years from the speculations? Have a nice day.
2
@neptune5728 Europe has no top level military aviation industry.
2
@PandemoniumMeltDown The US does not allies militarily. They need allies to legalize US actions.
2
@gameburn178 European tech in some areas are top, in some areas definetely not. All pretty overpriced although for its capabilities... And do not forget, even Turkey has an own 5th generation fighter for now while we still make joke from ourselves with Gripen and Raphale.
2
@gameburn178 Some fields Europe could make quick developments. But to be honest, it is a tough question and I do not think it is viable by any means. US will never let Europe be neutral or independent. Also Europe is divided, France will always goning on its own way. I have no idea, even for a theoretical case. The good stuff is typically from countries Europe would never buy from. How an F35 could be replaced if real competitors are not available in serial production except of China? Who has Apache level attack helicopter besides Russia? Who has Patriot level AA besides Russia and China?...ok, for this Israel is a player, but Israel is US in many aspect. Europe could produce top MBTs and IFVs at least. So I do not know. But it is also hypothetical, US will never let EU off the hook.
2
Also no nukes and Europe is divided, no joint control. You would give power to Annalena BrainBlock?
2
@Belisarius277 UK nukes does not matter, France will never give their nukes under EU control. Russia has about 5000 nukes, US , too. France has how many? To be honest Isr.eal is a more serious country when it comes to army than any European player. And even they are dependent on US with the aviation.
2
@pantalaemon Adults? Funny guy you are. I suggest study geopolitics and history.
2
@giacomolg Check your numbers. USA could replace European contributors in F35 relatively easiliy. Top 1 contributor is UK, they are like the 51th state of the US, not Europe.
2
@giacomolg Europe had no fear from Russia until the US started messing with Russia. And still has no threat from their side, although Europe would deserve it as we acted like fools (not every country). Russia and Ukraine should be natural allies of Europe, parts of Europe.
2
@alcosound We do not even specifiy 6th gen, still under debate. And Europe needs an own 5th gen fighter, just never will happen. Europe is sold out to the US, long ago.
2
@diatonicdelirium1743 Relax, US will never let Europe alone completely. They need Europe for bases, for meat and for being the battlefield instead of their own country.
2
@Belisarius277 Well, China started working on the numbers of their nukes. UK nukes are US nukes as UK is under US control. That leaves France with 200 missiles. And Europe - if want to look like an equal player- should be able to deter even the US, not just Russia or China... Good luck with that.
2
@Belisarius277 And I suggest to study Russia nuclear development and maintanance. Even in their worst period after the collapse they spent money on that and working on development. Big mistake to underestimate Russia. Also overestimate.
2
@Belisarius277 BTW I suggest to study why France became nuclear power, why De Gaulle wanted so badly.
2
@davidmacbayne :)
2
@davidmacbayne I love this European dreaming about power...
2
@giacomolg I think I meant the real proportion of the F35 development by Europe, but I am not sure for now as I see some of my com.ments was deleted, so maybe yours, too.
2
@giacomolg Europe cannot defeat Russia. There are not just military factors, but political, cultural, etc. But the good thing is that Russia is not a threat to Europe. UK is special even among the other vas.sal countries. Total puppets. In some rare cases Germany had guts in the past, France was always sceptical over the US dominance in local politics. One of the good things about De Gaulle he saw the threat. But see the context everywhere, see the motivations, strategies, long term effects. Europe navigated itself to a total loser position. Saying it as a European.
2
@giacomolg Europe had multiple attempts in the past for joint development, bigger ones failed miserably. France, Germans, Uk (when they were in EU) had different approaches. Happened with aviation, with mbt development, etc. Europe has a high level know-how in many areas, but never acts like a single country. That makes development pricey and also logistics. And there is the who is the boss problem.
2
@giacomolg I told 20 years ago that Europe goes completely in a wrong direction with the lack of its own development. In that time I believed in an EU army, somehow overcoming on national interests.... not anymore. I would vote my country out of EU rather than putting my trust in Ursulas and BrainBlocks or Kallases. That ship sailed.
2
@giacomolg BTW I completely agree that military development has many great effects on technologies, economy, etc. in a country or continent. It is like space programs. It costs a lot, but gives hitech. BTW where is the CPU and GPU manufacturing in Europe? Our own operating system? We are giving all of our data to the US all the time.
2
@giacomolg See what China does: developing everything. Own CPUs. They could compete with the US. To a degree, at least. But US is lucky by every means. They will be around all the time. Braindrain, lucky location, decades always in war. Experience. All type of power.
2
@kentknightofcaelin4537 Nato without the USA is weak. Very weak if US military hardware is not an option anymore.
2
@hungryghost3260 Canada has no security threats at all. Literally almost anything does the job.
