@ssumrall70 Ticket prices are insane. $20 general admission was great and that was the price for the big bands. They'd perform a big stadium one night and a small concert hall the next week because it was about bringing the music to the fans.
6
Not according to the Supreme court. Only Congress has the power to do this and they won't.
6
@davyboy9397 Between this and Rittenhouse he's earned his place in being recognized as the go to for court cases.
6
@BigJon410 I've seen the videos of people just walking into stores, grabbing stuff, and strolling out during normal business hours. Some of the shoppers are calling them names. It really seems like NYC is hell bent on destroying small businesses.
6
That was always the intention. That's the Great Reset.

Roe is going to be a nothing burger. A lot of states with the trigger laws are choosing more restrictions (see Tennessee) rather than an outright ban (see Oklahoma). I 100% expected that to happen, though I did figure it would take a couple of years to sort out the legislation on it. It also doesn't help that most of them already have a fairly low number of them performed already. I do believe, though, that companies encouraging workers to get them is a clear indication of our society's moral decay. I'm not some religious zealot and I also understand it's financially advantageous for the company. That doesn't change the social response to it which is cheering instead of shock.
6
@marylevengood306 That's not even a good troll or $hit post. You had people worshipping Obama.
6
@EcceHomo1088 First you're going to need to define freedom because that's not what liberalism says. It's liberty. They are not the same things. Then you're going to need to explain to me how "freedom" means you get to go around terrorizing citizens and killing them. Freedom isn't the absence of laws. It requires laws for people to enjoy true liberty.

Germany is having the same problem. These new technologies aren't suitable for extreme weather conditions and they all know it, yet push it anyway rather than wait for it to advance a bit further. Same problem with electric cars. They won't charge in extreme cold and they lose 50% of their battery life in extreme hot and cold yet Biden wants to force everyone to buy one. To charge them when it's very cold, they have to be in a heated garage or on a heated floor. Edit: Doing fine in Arkansas despite negative wind chills. Nuclear power for the win!

We need to work together so we can work together toward working together.
6
@joeybaby2505 The money is going to paid out to someone no matter what. Why not them? I've never seen so many butthurt that people are getting some of their taxes back. You're acting like they aren't already paying into the system.
6
MrBrenman I'll explain. To short sale a stock, you loan it to Wallstreet at a certain price with the understanding you will buy it back at a certain date/time. The idea is you loan it to the market at like $4 a share. When the time is up, if it works, you buy it back at $2 a share and you doubled your money. You're betting on the stock going down instead of up. Since the stock went up, the hedge fund now owes all those people a lot of money because they HAVE to buy it back. The reason it's a nasty practice is because the hedge fund usually own enough of the stock that just flooding the market with their shares is enough to drive the price down. Edit to add: This also a common practice to do a hostile takeover. Then you liquidate the assets and make a ton because it cost you nothing to buy it.
6
@OCtheG They are the only ones allowed to. It's protected by laws Congress enacted. I'm not even kidding.
6
They played the long game to get it overturned. They used the system that's in place. Not once did they hide their intentions. They were always upfront about it.
6
As goblin stated, this is completely false information. It sounds nice, but is 100% complete BS. The fact 78 people agreed with it tells me more emotional people listen to Styx then I thought.
6
@robinhuff1867 The commenter didn't say anything about a state road being their property or even if they live outside city limits. They most likely don't live anywhere near you either. If you have an issue with someone else's dog, that's between you and them and has nothing to do with this individual. Hell, they may not even live in the same country. This isn't a local forum.
6
Not everyone that took out loans graduated. The government has that information since they gave out the loans.
6
@LVArturs Vaush "debates" are him saying " I don't know anything about that" when you present a real world example contrary to one of his points. It makes me very confused why people would listen to someone who admits to being uninformed about their own positions. If you don't research the positive and negatives about a position, you aren't fully informed enough to truly understand the ideology you're preaching.
6
@RealmCenter40 Disagree because not everyone is competent. A person with a very low IQ will have the mind if a child regardless of physical age. Plus there's a whole issue now where newer generations are having a second adolescence and not reaching mental maturity until much later than previous generations.
6
BarryJPR That is funny! I dread going to visit the hubby's family in Canada. They are full on TDS. They think Obama walked on water too. It's funny that I voted for both. Only the first Obama term though. My sister-in-law posted a meme about stay home and protect your fellow people and an hour later one supporting the protests. It's insanity.
6
The problem is, anyone that's been within the bureaucracy for any length of time will try to protect the institutions and the system. That was the problem with Barr and everyone else Trump put in positions even though they'd pay lip service to caring about justice and the people. Even though it's broken, they have to maintain the appearance that it's still working.
6
Why is the first thing I noticed was that the FBI are putting their pronouns? And why is that always the case with the authoritarians?
6
@JasonRyanWilson She meant juicy is the simp.
6
They don't "know". They are educated in market forces and how to recognize signs of a market shift. I'm not formally educated in it but can predict market shifts because I have an understanding of how an economy functions. This has been going to happen since the lockdowns. Government spending has kept it artificially afloat with things like the inflation act and Ukraine spending. This was inevitable. You can not practically shutdown an economy for almost 2 years without there being serious repercussions. The full impact of repercussions of government economic policies don't hit for about 10 years give or take. That's why the housing crash was Clinton' fault. It was the direct result of him getting rid of a very serious bank regulation that was there to prevent big swings in the market.
6
@ThatAwakeningMoment They are. They've created organizations against it. They go on podcasts, they do interviews, etc. They've been physically removed from PRIDE events and attacked at them. How much more "vocal" do you think is possible? they're more vocal than anyone in this comment section so maybe YOU should be more vocal rather than just complaining on videos that agree with you.
6
Take that up with your local government. That's who does it. Not the federal government because you don't live on federal land. Edit: This is at least the 2nd comment on this. Seriously people! Learn basic civics. You're local and state governments are who you have the most control over, but people focus on federal elections for some stupid reason.
6
As someone that has the most common excuse used, hypothyroidism, take your medication (it's extremely cheap) and the weight just falls off. It's really simple.
6
I've only seen it said by a couple as a knee jerk reaction to the shooting. I know MTG said it, but it's certainly not a position I've heard from the majority. Until I see a push for legislation or policy changes I don't pay much attention to what individual members say that don't represent me.
6
@World Traveler I'm sorry, even the Natives in South America produced a much richer culture and architecture than most of Africa in a quarter of the time. They had huge cities, paved roads, etc while most of Africa was still in mud huts. Stop blaming things that happened in the last 400 years for their lack of development for tens of thousands of years.
6
@charlesvan13 If I'm leaving the country, I have to show my passport to the airline before I'm given my ticket. They won't issue one without it, unless you're a citizen of another country returning home like Canada. When issued state ID you can request the new type, it's more expensive but acts as a universal ID. That or a passport (the other form of universal ID) allows you into federal buildings and you can't fly without one of them. Outside that, our Social security number that's issued at birth is also a national identification number. You don't know what you're talking about.
6
Only 500? That's an hour in El Paso and it's much smaller than Chicago. Hell in my little hometown of 18,000 we got more than that a year.
6
It's voted on by the local Union members. The Union my hubby is a part of has not supported Democrats for 10 years. That's including at the national level. They went politically independent during Obama because "green" policies were screwing their members. Not all Unions are bad. They've saved many of the men from being unjustly fired since the oil refinery he works at got bought by Israelis. There have been two discrimination cases against them for firing someone that's became disabled. There are 6 workers in the hospital right now from an explosion caused by management not doing proper maintenance. We'll see if when the public scrutiny ends if they do what they're supposed to. If not, the Union lawyers are ready. Unlike a regular lawyer, they don't take a cut of the settlement either.
6
According to the report it was both. Some did it out of partisanship, some out of ignorance. The higher ups was for political reasons and the lower guys were incompetent.
6
I wasn't aware she's turned on Straka now. Sheesh. She's a mess.
6
Price gouging is illegal. So why aren't they prosecuting them if they're doing that? Seems like a far simpler solution than the government taking it over.
6
CB and HAM are a good way to organize right now. Much less likely to be monitored since it's range based than any online group or app.
6
They are throwing everything at the wall right now to see what sticks. So far it's not working.
5
Some of them were good picks, but the majority are as entrenched as McConnell. It was a huge amount of open spots though and unfortunately there just aren't that many that would make a good judge.
5
No you're not "just as much of a Trump guy" or you wouldn't say that. You also wouldn't call him by his given name rather than Styxx. He's never claimed to be anything but pro Trump and has criticized his PR blunders and other missteps. He's a populist and a libertarian.
5
It's my understanding it's about the medication not being put through the standard requirements of the FDA and fast tracked onto the market. It's only a specific one that's been banned by the court, not all of them. Saying "abortion pill" without naming the specific medication makes better clickbait. Specifically it's Plan B I believe which is only one of several.
5
I remember the fit he threw because he wanted to be depicted as a Captain in one of the movies and Shatner refused.
5
He has respected the power of the state much more than any recent president. He's also believes that the states should decide on issues rather the federal government force it's self over them.
5
What office has she ran for since she quit the Democratic party? Why am I supposed to be concerned what a politician says that's not even running for anything?
5
@Mashamazzi They'll only mute him if he starts to mess up to try to protect him. It's going to be a s hit show.
5
@TheNomdeguerre Yes and no. They want them to be able to vote, but don't want to make them citizens. If they become citizens they will be protected by labor laws and have to be paid accordingly and have legal recourse if they are injured. It's not unlike the slave owners. They wanted them to count for Congressional power, but not have real rights. Basically it's the same mindset the Democratic party has always held.
5
Disagree. China isn't in an economic situation to invade. Their housing market recently crashed, they're still experiencing bank runs, and many in the younger generation (which already too small to replace the current population) are refusing to participate in society. It's fairly unstable there at the moment.
5
@Steven Thompson You're talking about growing food to feed your family. The OP is talking about growing as a living. 2 different things. You don't have to worry about crop prices and losing everything if your crop fails because you can trade or purchase what you need, they can't because they are under contract.
5
@TheHigherVoltage The focusing only on religion gave you away. It's extremely disingenuous to criticize that while ignoring the thousands of nonprofit organizations that bring in 10times as much as a church and less than 10% is ever used for what it's set up for. The Salvation Army, one of if not the largest religious based nonprofits, makes sure over 80-90% of all donations go back into the communities they serve unlike say most Cancer "research" funding groups that bring in millions and only a tiny fraction goes to any research. Most is spent on parties and retreats for the people that work for the organizations and on the salary of the boards. They also buy real estate and everything else you have a problem with a Church doing but there's never a peep from anyone using your talking points (because that's what they are rather than based on any real look if it's true) about the evils of Churches.
5
@djmars1983 Yes giving up your rights and don't fight back is the right choice. What's funny is you can't give up your citizenship because it's a birthright. I'm not taking the advice of someone that doesn't even have a basic understanding of the law.
5
@grimaffiliations3671 No. It's technically a double tax because that income has already been taxed to hell and back. It's not "new" income. It's a final tax on their savings after death and prevents upward mobility by way of reducing generational wealth which is the fastest way for a family to move up. My family as an example. We've been poor for hundreds of years. My children remember when we were poor. However because of the wealth my grandparents and me and my husband have accumulated in way of land ownership and investments, our grandchildren will never know what it's like to be poor. They'll escape it entirely and be middle class. An inheritance tax would remove a large chunk of that putting them back down making our efforts wasted. Edit: When it comes to stocks, that's a whole different thing because that's not real. It technically doesn't exist until you sell them. That's why it's called unrealized gains. They are not taxed until sold because until then it's not income.
