The prosecutors were refusing to prosecute. A lot of activist lawyers got elected as head prosecutor in very blue areas of California and simply refuse to enforce the laws they don't like. It's called prosecutrial discretion.

Having had experience with Canadian health care, yeah. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for. My father-in-law is now retired. He got supplemental private insurance through his employer so used private health care up there. Since he's retired he doesn't have it anymore. He's seriously considered getting insurance out of pocket to go back to prive care because it takes so long to be seen by specialists.

Also people believe the first thing they read or see so retractions don't do a whole lot.

Local and state governments are far more direct democracy than federal is. Citizens can add and vote on laws and regulations. The closer the government is to the citizens, the more it becomes direct democracy. I can't make a petition and have the federal legislators put it a vote to the entire country.

Trump doesn't so why are associating him with it?

I don’t feel sorry for Google in the slightest. They fostered this environment starting under Bush and now they’re reaping what they sowed. Then they canceled US military contracts because their employees were uncomfortable with them and even put out a statement bragging about it.
1
Nobody was protesting in front of liquor stores and bars either. Everyone simply didn't buy it.
1
@irelandishsac13 In the US? None. It's against the Civil Rights Act. They're losing special privileges, like being able to expose yourself in public. When you're used to special privileges equality feels like oppression.
1
Everyone needs to be honest. None of these students would be in STEM anyway. They wouldn't even be in college.

@reaper_exd7498 She was head of USAID that Trump got rid of and was Obama's ambassador to the UN.

@lewisner Supreme Court Justices aren't elected. They're appointed by the President. All federal judges are by appointment. Some judges are elected but it's at a local level where there's rarely a political party by their name. The Supreme Court oversees the other courts rulings. Including state and local judges. There's also an oversite of by a group of other judges that aren't elected. It's not difficult to learn how judges become judges instead of just guessing incorrectly. Edit: A person that runs for the position of a judge is going to be a former prosecutor or defense attorney with decades of experience that the public can review their cases. If a judge gets too many cases overturned by higher courts, they're removed from their position.

Yeah I don't get it. Lady men have been a thing forever. Now because of ideology they want to force people to call them what they aren't so they feel better about themselves. That's not my problem.
1
@calgal8915 A lot fled to Oklahoma, and I don't think most vote blue. Even our big cities are now red. Now, in places like Texas, where a lot of tech companies are moving to, turning it blue is a much greater risk. It's more companies moving that creates the risk than individuals.

Considering Democrat internal polling had Trump winning close to 400 electrol votes, Kamala looked good in comparison. It's also funny to me because pundits before the election were saying anything over 300 would be considered a landslide in today's political climate, but that's when they thought Kamala would win. They decided it wasn't one once Trump won. The attitude of the population since Trump's win is very similar to how it was after Reagan won. The Democratic party thought it was over, but at least they realized it. They're sitting in the same position today but seem unable to face it.

1:20 Then that would be one of the two genders recognized. Meaning saying there are two impacts you not even a little. Plus, you're making zero effort to appear as male. There is nothing that says "I'm male" about you.
1
People like her believe what MSM and politicians say. Scientists have come out repeatedly when they say a natural disaster is caused by climate change to correct the record that they're not. Like hurricanes are increasing when they've actually decreased in number. The so-called "tipping point" and "crisis" are only believed by 1% of scientists. It's from a model that was created using extreme numbers. Like her saying we won't be able to control it. We already can't control nature, and it's these people's hubris that makes them believe we can.

Men that served in WWII that were paper pushers got the WWII ribbon. That didn't make them combat veterans. I'm not sure hazard pay was a thing then, but it definitely was in Iraq and Afghanistan. No hazard pay, no combat vet. It's pretty simple.

11:18 This isn't a war decision. It's an economic one. It's nothing like Ukraine. Selling weapons means the government makes money. Giving away weapons means the government loses money. Nothing at all alike. Trump cares about wars that impact the US, like most Americans. He doesn't care about ones that don't. It's not that hard. The only reason he cares about the Isreal and Ukraine wars is because they have the potential to drag the US into it and they're costing US tax dollars. As president of THIS country, this country's citizens are his top priority. Not every others country's citizens.
1
Dear Lord. So many salty men in the comments that can't use their ears or brains. The IOC said they implemented testing because the other WOMEN wanted it. Demanded it. They did what you're all claiming they don't and you still complain about it. Do you think that makes you look like a real man? Complaining about women not doing something they did?
1
Not originally in WWII. They only joined this side after Germany invaded them. Before that they were happily allied with Germany and helping them invade. They split Poland between them. They also weren't very active in WWI because civil war broke out in Russia and they then became the USSR.
1
Bernie's only gotten name changes in his state ones passed. He's no better
1
4:53 Yes. That's not the government's job. I've seen what "research" the government funds. That's the job of the private sector. If my tax money is developing these amazing medications, then we shouldn't be charged for them. One or the other. This both business or paying to see how hamsters react to cocain is over. Edit: Breast cancer, especially. It's already one of the most survivable types thanks to all the funding. You'll never cure cancer because of what it is. We know how to detect it early. Research complete.
1
Ugh. The new generation is infuriating. She's a Boomer. She'd be 4th Boomer president. That's not new.
1
CNN just got cleaned out. Zaslov warned them. Get unbiased and nonpartisan or you're gone. They couldn't do it, and now they're gone. MSNBC is being spun off and removed from the NBC brand. They can say what they want. They have no audience and no legitimacy.
1
Ummm every other state already prosecutes for theft. They don't need it because they never passed a law making under $950 a misdemeanor.
1
He's threatened that before. Putin isn't stupid enough to go after NATO. Yes he blusters to other countries, but it's their fault if they take him seriously.
1
"Unite this country" says the man that every State of the Union and various other talks has called people that didn't vote for him evil. Him and the MSM are the ones splitting us. Disgusting.
1
That's why the polls are turning so dramatically right now. With another Cat 4 coming in behind it. It's not like a tsunami which are rare. Hurricanes hitting are inevitable. Compare this response with the one that hit Puerto Rico under Trump. Multiple military ships waiting off shore stocked with supplies, Army Corp of Engineers ready to hit the ground running, private individuals and companies coordinated and working together quickly, etc. I know for a fact private companies have donated over $1 B to relief work for this last one and there's nothing to show for it. Edit: My husband works at a refinery for 1 big oil company, my oldest at one for another, and my youngest for stations of another. They've all 3 donated 100s of millions. Add in Walmart's donations and those 4 alone reach $1B. Where's it gone? Those people should be having their needs met from that alone.
1
I think it was from last year's.
1
@danielbyrne5402 I don't know where you're getting that from. They don't. Look at Kamala as an example. They went back to India every year. In most family photos they're dressed in strict Indian clothing that's made to reflect their caste. India celebrates every time someone of Indian descent gets into a position of power in a Western country. You can look at the UK to see how well they integrate. They've turned major areas into Bangladesh.
1
Why are they acting like it's never happened before? It doesn't impact "the people" very much. The only ones I care about that it is the military personnel. Not the high ups, but the lower ranks. They could absolutely prioritize paying them, but they won't. I don't give a crap that their staff won't get paid.
1
It's not even really law. It was rolled into the end of Obamacare as part of mental Healthcare. Since now it's no longer a mental illness, it shouldn't fall under it anymore. There's no criteria for diagnosis. Imagine that with anything else.
1
She knows it's supposed to be a unifying event. She's running on being a unifier, but can't attend it? Instead, she sends in a political ad as a video to top it off that's just saying vote for me because of what's between my legs. Awful.
1
Not really. It's because of the numbers. If Kamala moves up and he's out, it'll be tied in the Senate. That means they won't be able to appoint a new VP or do anything really.
1
He used to be a Republican then switched and went hard left. He claims that since he ran for president, he got exposed to more regular people on the right and realized populists had joined MAGA "this time." He doesn't even realize that was always the case because it's a populist movement. Either he's incredibly dumb or just like when he turned hard left, he's going where the money is.
1
@Jkrogs18 Chunk used to be Republican. He hasn't changed. He's just moving to where he can get more views and try to be relevant. His political PAC is responsible for the squad being elected. Edit: He won't even admit the policies they advocated for in California that have ruined it are bad. Him and Anna blame establishment Democrats for letting them pass them. That's been since the election.
1
I was laughing when left-wing streamers were getting excited when exit polls put fear of losing democracy as the number 2 issue. Only to find out later it was people voting Trump because of the law fare they'd engaged in. I knew that was likely who was putting it. Democrats once again shooting themselves in the foot by highlighting an issue that could go both ways.
1
I'm getting real tired of the attempted watering down of this victory. Before the election several MSM were saying in this political climate anything over 300 would be a modern day landside. Counties that haven't voted Republican since Nixon went it this time. Kept the House AND took Congress.
1
Black-Conservative-TV-26 Be gone bot!
1
So you like the government taking more of everyone's money? You don't get back more than you paid in. It's not really a child tax credit. It's a dependent credit. It also includes anyone living with you like your disabled parent or spouse. Nobody else is paying for it. A tax credit just means it's that much less YOU pay.
1
Yes. It's happened before. VPs often run, but rarely win.
1
I always saw Vivek in a cabinet position. I'm honestly surprised Trump hasn't already spoken to him about it. After seeing Trump getting emotional at the RNC last night, I can't wait to hear the new speech he wrote. Pretty sure we're going to see a bit different Trump moving forward.
1
Probably because of Covid. The executive is in charge of the census and with them in power they're not very motivated to redo it.
1
Since one of the decisions they were concerned about came back unanimous so how are they going to continue to push this?
1
They've pulled ads from North Carolina. You don't do that unless it's lost and you're putting money somewhere else looking for another path. Especially if it's as close as they're trying to claim.
1
@jennmcdavitt3782 I do because the press made fun of Trump being moved to the bunker.
1
@HollyMoore-wo2mh The IBA said their tests showed they're male.
1
@kevinjames5948 And a woman. DEI isn't just race as much as you and Roland try to claim it is. In the military women have lower requirements than men. That's not a meritocracy if there are different requirements based on an immutable characteristic. That's not equality.
1
Trump has been in contact with him since before he entered office. The MSM is very upset about that. Just like the guy just asking Rubio what concession he wants from Russia, just because every conversation isn't shouted to the world doesn't mean they're not taking place.
1
The coalition is over here. Most people understand that if you have policies that are good, everyone does better rather than having policies that are only for this or that group. I want to know why her podcast is called Native Land. She's not Native. This is why Natives swung hard to Trump. We've had to deal with these black supremacist groups for years. To see them rising to power within the Democrat Party is a big no. The movies and shows they've been allowed to put out like the Cleopatra one are no different than Birth of a Nation. Seeing that not only being allowed to be made but being pushed as acceptable is insanity.
