  11. LOL..math for dummies. Republican turnout topped Dem turnout by 30%. DeSantis got 56% of Republican votes. Gillum got barely 1/3 of Dem votes. Trump will parachute in a few days before the election and have a 20,000+ rally for DeSantis. DeSantis will win by 12 points. No blue wave.

  16. Another issue retail and food service is facing is that the prolonged period we were not allowed to go to stores or restaurants caused people to find alternatives. Obviously more people shop online. As my son said "I didn't know I buy candy online". A lot of people were forced to shop online and found out..."Hmm, this isn't so bad" My wife and I used to enjoy going to restaurants 2-3 times a month (probably more like once/week if TBH) When we were forced to stay home, I bought an offset smoker and set up an outdoor cooking area. I think we have been to restaurants 2 times since they have re-opened in summer, 2020. For less than 1/3 the price we can grill steaks and shrimp, smoke brisket, chicken and ribs and have great meals at home! Look, the same thing has happened with at home working. The commercial real estate market is also hit hard. Adapt. And any business that stays in high tax, oppressive states like NY gets what they deserve. GTFO!!!!!!!!

  20. There will be no "assault rifle" ban. Been there, done that. Didn't work. It's already against the law to walk into a school and shoot kids, I can't believe that turd actually said that. But he also (intentionally) threw in the term "machine guns" and "automatic weapons". When you MUST lie and distort to support your position, your position is untenable (and you know it) Answer? Put people with guns in schools to KILL anyone that tries to hurt the kids. When all else fails (and it WILL) then the attackers need to know they WILL be killed before they can carry out their crime. One BIG problem with the system. Mental health records are MEDICAL records and are carefully guarded. Multiple attempts to require reporting of mental health records to the NICS system have been fought by the American Medical Assn., who otherwise never saw a gun law they didn't like. And the AMA is even more powerful than the NRA. When a person is ADJUDICATED to be mentally ill, it then becomes a COURT record and is public record. The next problem? Doctors reporting people who seek mental health care, even for things like depression following a divorce or death of a loved one, may be denied firearms ownership and it may deter people seeking help they need.

  22. The Senate is half of Congress. The other half of Congress is the House of Representatives. That requires a Constitutional Amendment. A Constitutional Amendment requires that 2/3 of the Legislators that would be term limited, in BOTH chambers of Congress, VOTE to limit their own terms and THEN the Amendment has to be ratified by 3/4 of the State Legislatures. And many of those legislators WANT to be Federal Legislators. (and PLEASE...spare me the Congress of states route, that has happened exactly ONCE in our nations history, in 1787 and STILL requires 3/4 of the states to ratify an amendment introduced by 2/3 of the states) Bottom line, spoiler alert: Ain't gonna happen. On the other hand, YOU have the opportunity to limit their terms every two years. But the vast majority of people can't even tell you WHO their representatives and Senators ARE. Can't name them, wouldn't know them if they bumped into them. Don't check their voting records, which is all public info., have no idea what their positions are. Are you kidding? They don't even know their names! YOU don't even know the names of the two chambers of Congress!!!!!! AND... Only a little over half the people in the country are registered to vote, and maybe 65% of them actually vote. Our representatives are being elected by 35% of people who could vote, most of them couldn't name the people they voted for and YOU think the solution is to ask the politicians to limit their own terms?!?!?!?! 🤡🤪 A representative Republic requires the attention of the electorate. Putting it on auto pilot and just flushing out everyone every few years...just because "time's up!"...would not only NOT be a representative Republic, it's ASININE!!!!!!! You can't fix STUPID with a policy of just replacing everyone on a timeclock!

Post debate...it is probably the most publicized and covered debate I have ever seen in my 70 years. But as it regards early voting...I doubt it has any difference. I've know who I would vote for for a long time and no debate was going to change my mind. I didn't even watch the debates for the elections in my state. People who are truly "undecided" are not going to vote before hearing the debate.

One of the escape destinations for good people from blue states. For the first time ever, we have more registered Republicans that Democrats. Trump carried Florida by a margin 3 times greater in 2020 than in 2016. DeSantis will cruise to re-election and is currently ahead in polls in what were the bluest of blue counties in Florida. Enough Democrat seats will flip in Florida alone to re-take control of the House of Representatives.

That IS NOT THE SAME as "lose control of the House" Democrats held control of the House from 1955 until 1995...40 years! From Eisenhower thru George HW Bush. Mid terms and all. YES, they "lost seats" in mid terms, they did NOT lose "control". If Republicans lose, for example, 10 seats, they will have followed historical trends and "lost seats" and they will still maintain control. Yesterday, an Obama appointed Federal District Judge in the Southern District of Mississippi DISMISSED a case against a man charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm as a person with a felony conviction as being UNCONSTITUTIONAL. TWO Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal have ruled that Section 922 and the form 4473 are unconstitutional. Merrick Garland is currently requesting the Supreme Court to rule on this. The Supreme Court has not considered the case at this time. Hunter Biden should not be charged with a crime for violating Section 922 in lying about filling out the form 4473 because the form is unconstitutional! Neither should anyone else be charged with, or imprisoned for, the same thing. Anyone currently being penalized for this unconstitutional "crime", should be filing appeals based on these recent developments.
