  1. When the asshole shot up the church in Texas, we were appalled to learn he had been able to buy guns because his CRIMES had not been reported to the NICS system. Well, now, President Trump is fixing another Obama mess and updating these records. It follows that the guns sold top ineligible persons be confiscated and that those person be prosecuted. They KNOW they are felons and they LIED on the 4473 forms. this is NOT a "gun grab", this is enforcement of the existing law.

  2. Good news. The system we have needs to be enforced. This is NOT a new law. This is because the Obama administration was PURPOSELY neglecting the NICS system in order to ALLOW criminals to have guns, to cause more crime to demand more gun laws. This is nothing less than a domestic "fast and furious" program. Trump needs to get the system records up to date, confiscate weapons from people who should have been denied when they bought them AND begin prosecuting these people for LYING on the form 4473. Each of these people is a felon in possession of a firearm. Period. I am a lifelong firearms enthusiast and I DO NOT WANT criminals to have guns!

  5. Rights CAN be removed by DUE PROCESS and conviction of a felony or adjudication of mental illness IS due process. As law abiding gun owners, we do not want criminals to have guns. Each of these people should be arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and lying on form 4473

Rights CAN be taken away by due process, 5th Amendment "No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." Obviously a person's RIGHTS can be taken away when they are convicted of a crime. These are CONVICTED FELONS who have been erroneously left out of the NICS system. Do you WANT convicted felons to be legally able to own firearms?
