  2. ??? What did JFK do? I would agree that Melania is the best looking First Lady since Jackie, but as far as President, JFK did nothing. He created the Cuban Missile Crisis with the Bay of Pigs...allowed Castro to take control of Cuba...and ended the Cuban Missile Crisis by caving in to the USSR and removing missiles from Turkey. Then...he was assassinated.

  3. Norma...young child...the Bay of Pigs occurred in April, 1961. JFK was inaugurated in January, 1961. He didn't "inherit" anything. JFK made the decision to proceed and made the decision to abandon the mission in progress, securing the regime of Castro. There is nothing better for a despot than "defeating" the Great USA. WHAT, exactly was "wrong" with the USA in 1961? And HOW, exactly, was JFK on his way to fixing it? I was alive and well back then, were you? The ONLY time in my life I was afraid of nuclear war was in October, 1962. Who was it that committed US troops to Vietnam, Norma? Who was that, Norma? But at least you admitted JFK did not "inherit" the Bay of Pigs as you initially said. Kennedy was FIRST to commit US Troops to Vietnam. (President Truman had sent some advisers in 1945 who remained in country until Kennedy took office) A month after the Kennedy led Bay of Pigs fiasco, Kennedy sent 400 Green Berets to Viet Nam. Before the end of 1961 that was up to 16,000 Special Forces.   6. He could have STOPPED the Bay of Pigs. OR he should have committed to WINNING. He didn't do either. It was a DISASTER and it was KENNEDY's disaster. Own it. Stop sounding like a drooling moron. Seriously, you sound like an Obamaphile..."it was Bush's fault". The Bay of Pigs RESULTED in the USSR deploying missiles to defend their ally from an obvious threat. Kennedy should never have done that without committing to WINNING. And then...to get out of the mess he made, he threw our European allies under the bus by agreeing to withdraw Jupiter ballistic missiles from Turkey. The USSR broke that one off in Kennedy's ASS and until he lost his head, he was stepped on by the USSR. Kennedy is often given credit for solving the Cuban Missile crisis...which is like crediting an arsonist for putting out the fire HE STARTED! Yes, I have all the time in the world...tell me WHAT was wrong with the USA in 1961 and WHAT JFK was doing about it. Stop with the "he was going to..." BULLSHIT...if he didn't then HE was not great. Tell me WHAT HE DID. Stop dodging the question and ANSWER IT...in detail with supporting references. Or don't. If you don't, I will just declare you are full of shit and I WIN! Not sure what you read (it may surprise you to learn you CAN read on the internet) but if you want to cite the books you read from, title and author, that is acceptable.   8. Norma Smith quit. Ran away without explaining or defending his/her statements. I suggested Norma get information before posting things which are obviously wrong. How does that make me look foolish? I was a whopping 12 years old in 1962, which means I remember the drills of hiding under my desk in school and the warnings about what to do in 1962. Some of us born in the 1950s are actually pretty computer literate, and obviously, my antagonist has a computer to post ignorant statements (but doesn't know you can read things on it). Intelligence is not knowledge. Knowledge is gained by studying and learning...intelligence is knowing you CAN study and learn and being ABLE to do it, not just repeating nonsense someone else told you. I am confident in what intelligent people will understand from the exchange.
