  10. They're going to hold another referendum, with both parties blaming the other for it. The referendum will once again include the option to remain. But with the leave vote split between two options. The tactic is that Leave has to win each and every time. While Remain only has to win once.

Basically, he thinks its enough to make comforting noises to both those who voted to leave the EU (that he would respect the referendum result), and those who voted to stay (that he doesnt rule out another peoples vote), in the hope that if he manages to get into No 10 the most important issue in recent UK history would've all been sorted out without him having to make any difficult decisions. But you can't promise both. And thats not leadership. That's dishonesty. Also, I might just point out that he has no right to go over the heads of the British electorate and claim to be speaking for them on this issue. His party was not elected into power. And his personal popularity ratings are far below that of Theresa May's.

But at what point did he think the Iranian Islamic Revolution was ever a democratic system of government? Did he not know about human rights abuses in Iran before that? And when he worked for PressTV, his focus was never on human rights abuses in Iran. The Iranian regime wouldn't have employed him if that were true.

  24. Knife crime is about the pursuit of social status. Not poverty. This is why it is an issue with young men. Especially those surrounded in a culture that promotes criminality, violence, contempt for wider society, and a victimhood mentality. Akala, and those like him, only succeed in reinforcing that culture when, as we see here, he talks about how he himself used to carry a knife when he was younger. This instantly underlines his own status as a performer working within that same culture. His legitimacy (and therefor the reason why he is on Channel 4 News) is based upon him being a product of that culture. Meaning that any cautionary message of 'don't walk the path I walked' will be ignored.

Suicide attacks started off in Israel. Driving vehicles into crowds of people started in Israel. Both have been exported to the west. Sympathy with suicidal martyrs amounts to tacit support. For political reasons? Certainly, I wouldn't put that past Jon Snow, who often finds it hard to disguise his political loyalties. I would very much like to see the internal emails of Channel 4 news during the disaster. But I'm guessing that would not be in their best interest. So it will never happen.
