Joost FF china actually took one of most cautious approaches of any country. They only reopened when there is sustained period of no community spread. US criteria for example is 14 days of sustained decreased transmission and a lot of states opened up when infections are still on the rise
1
@pptskills And in fact barely any track has been laid in California
1
Well that's probably why many still believe that trying to make a living out of being athlete is almost impossible
1
Nope, happens in USA to suspects of any race, and cops of any race. Many white drivers are killed that way too. Non-white American cops would've emptied their magazine into that car too
1
Just to impress their CCP overlords
1
World War Z
1
Looks like Thailand is the Asian Florida
1
@priscillajimenez27 Its called federalism, the system in USA, as well as Canada, Mexico, Brazil, India, Germany, Australia
1
The countries that did bad at containing pandemic like US, UK, Israel are best at vaccination, while countries with few covid cases are slowest at rolling out vaccine
1
Yeah like first time I saw it being paved over with a mat rather than just draw lines in concrete
1
I do that too when I cross a bridge like that
1
@cillamoke No
1
@fluffypuppy4568 America is a lot richer. America's life expectancy is below what its GDP per capita predicts while China is above
1
@fluffypuppy4568 It is, but you have to take economic development into account. Wealth is strongly correlated with life expectancy and China is much poorer and less developed than America, so naturally, China would have lower life expectancy than USA
1
@rishavbarnwal7155 exactly
1
soon usa will pass 4m cases
1
Made in China quality bridges
1
@1등급 it wasn't until mayors across south korea attempted to press criminal charges against the cult that they released the names of their members. South korean government acted quickly and tested all the members in a period of days(the few days in late february of 800+ new cases per day, were the days the shinsheonji members were being tested)
1
@sydneyliu4825 I believe they're southern hemisphere so it's winter there rn
1
jerry peter wallad no really. China, south korea, japan, taiwan, hong kong, singapore all have old populations. Other asian countries like vietnam are also aging rapidly
1
Philippines is still above replacement though
1
usa did nucleic acid test on 60 million citizens
1
@文明觀蛙嚴禁餵食 usa did 70 million tests, 21% of population. China 90 million 6.2% of population
1
The age profile of people who are not vaccinated. In the other places you mentioned, unvaccinated skew towards younger, low risk groups. In HK they skew towards older, high risk groups
1
Government do intervene, without kids to replace the new generation, tax base will shrink and pension burden will get heavier, all of which affects how government function
1
In the US only natural born citizens can run for president, but other offices can be held by naturalized citizens
1
@VoltzV1 barely anyone in Indonesia is vaccinated so doesn’t apply there
1
Or that it’s a shadow
1
What about America 100+ despite having 1/4 population every Olympics
1
America has really high vaccination rate. In America, according to cdc, vaccinated people don’t need masks
1
Weird flex but ok
1
Other developed countries have much lower violent crime, so much less lethal force is needed. US police often have to face suspect with guns. Other developed countries rarely even have to face suspects with knives. Also, being murdered on duty as a cop is much higher chance in US than other developed countries, even with heavily armed, trigger happy cops
1
@hu42 however unlike in western countries, based on reports, most Singaporeans have volunteered to keep their masks on
1
@iknowyoubetter2028 it also infected around 2 billion people that year
1
Sweden is near the top in those charts as well, but complete opposite covid strategy. The highly developed countries, all near the top in those charts, have taken highly divergent covid strategies
1
they're all in east asia
1
made in china quality
1
@havanascp9602 europe has bridges that are hundreds of years old. Still holds very sturdy, even during winds stronger than this. 20+ years is no excuse.
1
80000 cases 75000 recovered 4500 dead approx
1
It’s because there was 0 cases thus people got complacent and didn’t get vaccinated
1
Rest of world is way behind US in vaccinations
1
What about Japan
1
They’re the ones most likely to lose their jobs over lockdowns, of course they’re frustrated
1
Yep, and there's a video documented how this is how Russian leaders have always treated their people, from the tsars to the dictators that succeeded the tsars
1
They should switch to western system which have capacity to handle much more cases. No symptom and mild symptoms=At home. Serious in hospital
1
@greenbean3289 thats why new york has been hit harder than any other american city and its not even close. It has 10 times more cases than the second worst affected american city
1
@markhenley3097 and also when the virus has spread so far and wide in the usa. 10% of tests in usa are coming back positive
1
australia and new zealand actually did lock down again after second wave happened
1
Many have stopped requiring them for vaccinated, like Walmart, Costco, etc
1
actually, the whole of china went under lockdown too. Public transport, schools, and non-essential services all over the country were ordered to be shut. Only one person per household can leave every 2 days to buy groceries. China's policy was hard lockdown for hubei, soft lockdown for rest of the country.
