Very good point.

@beepbopboop7727 Of course. People are STILL making light of COVID. I want to, too. But then my reasoning mind stops me. :/
3
Is this the moment to trash anti-war voices? As for Rubin, his latest videos are about self-care and self-help gurus, like Eckhart Tolle. So much for that.
3
@Zatzzo Hint: the topic wasn't impeachment at all.
3
Oh, don't worry, you'll find love. These are just rough times.
3
Another set of commentators acting as though there is no pandemic, the US is not on the precipice of a depression, millions of unemployed do not face long-term loss of health insurance . . . Because 2020 is just like any other year. The rest of the world does not have universal health. The US does not have the most deaths of any country. /s The things that usually happen are sure to happen again. The pandemic will have no effect. Neither will mass unemployment. This discussion has been going on since 1985 that I know of, with American doctors adamant that health care must change. Lord.
3
It's even simpler. This podcast was an in-depth discussion of the First Amendment and its limitations for protecting free speech in the age of Big Tech. Zephyr Teachout was on as well, and it was great. The program wasn't about Trump or impeachment. This excerpt was pulled out of context.
3
This show's entire brand is gossip about other shows.
3
In the meantime, Jimmy Dore just had Convo Couch election observers on, who told the truth about Nicaragua, the Sandinistas, and the criminal sanctions against Third World peoples, which are acts of war. "But personal stories are so much more important."
3
@MichaelAronson Wow. Did you follow me all around to keep score? This video is more repugnant than Jimmy's worst rant.
3
@MichaelAronson OMG, and you are all over each thread! Projecting, like a true blue American. Or like these clowns, saying Dore must be in it for the money because they know how much they LOVE love money.
3
@MichaelAronson I thought better of Sam Seder.
3
@ish7957 And most of the MSM reporting was deliberately wrong. I say "deliberately" because when parts of the story fell apart, corrections were either buried or not made at all. Instead, MSM newscasters who pushed it got rich. "Hey? What's not to like?"
3
This podcast hosted by Briahna Joy Gray was a great program on the First Amendment. It wasn't even about impeachment. Do you really not understand how something can be taken out of context? It could be done to you, you know.
3
@j0j0dartiste21 Produce one indictment that involves some form of combination or cooperation with Putin or other Russian government actors. Just give us a link, or search term.
3
@j0j0dartiste21 Who is excusing Trump? I want to see him impeached and thoroughly investigated, and his gauleiters from the insurrection prosecuted.
3
Congress could have passed a resolution distancing themselves from her words and affirming their support for Israel. Instead, it voted to censure her, which is a finding of wrongdoing for having spoken and a formal reprimand for her words. They did this even though her speech is First Amendment protected. Instead of passing a resolution, they doled out a punishment. And for WHAT? (Did they make us "safer?") They are sworn to protect and defend our Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights. (They forgot already?)
3
This clip degenerated into a string of swear words.
3
@haidagwaiiintel "Don't throw me into the briar patch, no no!"
3
You are here to "educate" us? I could have sworn the word was "inform."
3
@CabbageYe No. He's literally the youngest of twelve children and a former bricklayer. But thanks for your concern.
3
@CabbageYe You changed your "mind?" If you insist.
3
@ephre You back because Jimmy has been teaming with Ron Placone and the superb Aaron Mate lately? Streaming now!
3
This. Dore's been getting 200k views regularly, and just got demonetized. He won't back down. BTW, their next thing is to ridicule Lara Logan, a woman who almost got killed in a mob doing real reporting from the scene. These aren't even issues.
3
The Guardian reported on a study that showed that myocarditis was more common from the vaccine than from COVID in young men and boys under age 25. An Israeli study (at least one) confirmed this. Why are you obfuscating it? Nothing to do with ivermectin. Zip. It is now an official warning given by the vaccine manufacturers, for that age group, of course.
3
@emilysmall2777 You know, when you talk like that, then I start to understand the people I found the most perplexing and infuriating during this whole period: namely, the ones who think COVID isn't real. You talk like there is no pandemic. No recession, no permanent business closures, no evictions, no food insecurity . . . If voting against health care is not politically fraught, well then I guess there must not be a real pandemic . . . Maybe it is a hoax.
3
@sbz88 And the problem they have is with Jimmy's new house.
3
@mateocortes4148 Who is trying to condone Dore's behavior? He wrote an apology. That means he knew at the time it was wrong. People know written apologies can come back to haunt them, and he wrote it anyway. And it only surfaces when ANA and CENK defame Aaron Mate and Jimmy defends Aaron. So not only can a woman boss dress inappropriately, body shame other women for entertainment (and to attract Howard Stern fans), but she can also defame real journalists -- and it will all be defended, on "progressive" grounds? She escapes all accountability. Well. She's a woman.
3
@magdelanax2122 You really think Katie Halper, Kyle Kulinsky, Krystal Ball, AND Briahna Joy Gray are in it out of an "unhelpful desire for money and attention??" Truly, is this what you think? And I think anyone focusing on Dore instead of the urgent ISSUE at hand has confused substance with a desire for ego gratification, and praise for their reading list. I also think anyone who insinuates he is in it for the money is too concerned with money themselves.
3
@magdelanax2122 Why is every single one of you so wedded to ad hominem? I can't relate.
3
@sirtoby4939 Because we have not just had and are not having a pandemic, and a depression-era economy for millions. Nothing has changed since the 1990s, 2009, etc., or 2019 for that matter. Why the masks, and the small business shutdowns, tell me again? I thought it was about public health, not to make Amazon stock go up.
3
This has nothing to do with the current push for massive medical interventions for minors who are too young to understand the full ramifications. Did you need hormones or surgery to affirm your religious beliefs?
3
@imsleeps3648 Briahna is a brilliant woman with great poise. She also has a law degree from Harvard, unlike anyone else in this picture.
3
@buddyrogers2919 You are right. I was hoping it wasn't so. But. . . . You are right.
3
Watch a bigger excerpt than this tiny clip, maybe?
3
@misterdemocracy3335 Then Sam should shut up and find a real topic to comment on. Something he actually did watch. What a tool.
3
The Rolling Stone cover is gross. Tim Pool is worse. Why are these people rich? Is this work?
3
@Kyarrix Yes, she is wrong. This is a huge innuendo to toss off as though it requires no evidence, "because Jimmy Dore." Bellingcat claimed without evidence that a lobbyist organization with hidden ties to Assad corrupted Jimmy Dore with $2500. First of all, Dore has made it clear that his price is much higher. /s I think that someone who "wants to be a millionaire" either asks for more than that, or is profoundly math challenged. /s Has this journalist herself verified that the organization was indeed a front, and that Dore either knew, or didn't know and didn't care, before "educating" us? It was styled as a prize for independent journalism, according to Bellingcat itself. (P. S. I could have sworn the word she were looking for was "inform.")
3
@elginmarble5009 Commentaries like this video scare ordinary people, because they make it appear as though one false move in the workplace could mean the end of their livelihoods -- even years after they thought it was settled. The proposed punishment -- censorship -- is not proportionate to the crime. Not even close. Nobody here is a paid troll. No one rational needs to be paid to see that.
3
@elginmarble5009 Whatever you need to believe is fine with me. I talk to people from many walks of life, and thus know how they feel. They are above all worried about their JOBS. Sex and sexual harassment are the furthest things from their minds, all they want is not to get embroiled in this new means of score settling. And don't pretend you think I'm male.
3
I don't believe he didn't watch it. That clip was not released on their free YouTube channel. The substantial excerpts that were released by Briahna and Virgil were about the central topic: the First Amendment, not the insurrection or the impeachment. It was a great discussion, too. Very nuanced and legally sophisticated.
3
@jon9428 Who is responsible? A HILLARY presidency would have made for a better 2020 election for Democrats? A sweep of both the House and the Senate? Oh, those hardworking DNC, to think they are being taken apart by a standup comic who broadcasts from his garage. Oh, and Jesus memes. Jesus memes turn elections. Because Putin.
2
@excrubulent One is a possessive pronoun, and the other is a contraction. Those belong to different grammatical categories.
2
@ericschultz6539 Fabrication. TYT attacked Aaron Mate and Jimmy effectively defended Mate. Then TYT went after Jimmy. The real issue has nothing to do with media infighting, and everything to do with Syria -- which TRUMP bombed, and faux pwogwessives support bombing. Whenever there is a war to divert attention from, a sex scandal shows up.
2
This was addressed -- if you actually listened to the entire broadcast. What does "equality of outcome" mean? The person who claims that a segment of the polity embraces this position, and that it is SO dangerous, needs to be clear, no? Or, who needs to define their terms?
2
Jumped the shark, fine, but remember to say grift, too. Relying on others won't always work, you know.
2
@cortexavery1324 No
2
@wvu05 Great. Now you tell me why, after swallowing Biden, we just HAVE to support Chocolate Bunker Nancy. Why not Ro Khanna for Speaker?
2
@DanEMO592 Took the words out of my mouth!
2
I thought it was just an Internet rumor that India was handing out ivermectin as prophylaxis, to prevent COVID. Turns out they did, and that the WHO strongly criticized them for this move. Well, is there any credible data on whether it helped or hurt? There may not be. We haven't heard.
