(I don't "support" ivermectin, but that's what's so ridiculous. I don't ask for drugs, ever, except for vaccines. It is a simple fact that virologists support further study of ivermectin, as does the NIH. It is a human drug, not a horse drug.)

  12. Consult Lev Golinkin's research on the issue of neo-Nazis and Nazi sympathizers in the Ukrainian armed forces, and the influence they wielded, well above their numbers. Golinkin was working on this before the invasion, and is profoundly anti-Putin in general, and against this war in particular. The issue was treated in MSM before it became one more forbidden narrative. If you haven't been interested in the past, I don't know why you imagine you have special insight now that the issue has been completely politicized. This is one journalist. Saying she doesn't know, based on her relatively limited experience and linguistic skills, is a sign of honesty. She did see efforts to hide signs of Nazi sympathies. That doesn't give solid numbers. Too bad so many journalists use such limited information to speculate.

  13. My mask protects other people more than me. And a vaccinated person can contract COVID. So, people who have been vaccinated would wear a mask around people whose vaccination status is unknown, to protect them.

The vaccines are not yet fully FDA approved; one has been authorized for emergency use for only three months, and had to be briefly suspended during that time. I guess this is to keep us safe. /s I expect to be vaccinated by the end of the year. I'm opposed to this added power and violation of privacy by corporations anyway. . . . This is what happens when the boss controls your HEALTHCARE.

  21. Yeah, I can. He pays a lot of attention to people who have lost out over the last several decades, and who no one pays attention to except to make fun of or denounce. He says some true things that everyone should acknowledge but very few people do. And he employs some well-tested techniques of demagoguery only at times -- often, but not too often. He creates scapegoats for the fragile who need some such thing to rid themselves of rage and move on. A 20-year-old kid who is quite average, has certainly done nothing wrong, who would have had a decent union trade 40 years ago, like his father did, and who is literally sleeping on a couch in his parents' basement, is very angry. He needs someone to acknowledge it, lift the blame from his shoulders, and then show him a way OUT. You can be sure he gets zero decent advice, lots of bad advice, and gets yelled at ALL the time. If he sold drugs and got away with it, he'd get more respect. Not good. Enter Jordan Peterson.

  41. I made a point to read Singal's entire article at The Atlantic. I was surprised at how excellent it was. It is absolutely crucial to get the gender dysphoria diagnosis and treatment right. When clinicians work hard to make that happen, it's transformative. No pun intended, the results are remarkable.

Two people working for the minimum wage could get a decent apartment in any city and start out in life. What happened, John? Financialization happened. And, is it possible that cities have to be full of homeless to keep us free to be LGBTQ? I don't think most people think that's a ringing endorsement of freedom. People who feel safe from destitution are more tolerant.
