  3. I just found out I have a $4600 MRI bill from 2019 that was never on my statement before. The hospital resubmitted it to insurance repeatedly, and the final decision came almost two years later. The doctor who ordered it told me it should be free to me. He retired last year. The hospital said it would be at most $1900. Well . . . no, we don't have real insurance.
