Who pays you to refuse to consider other viewpoints? How much are you making?
5
I've never heard a more eloquent analysis of the principle of nonviolent resistance, when it works, and when it cannot work.
5
Not only that, but he and Aaron Mate made a very important and subtle point: if there were any evidence, of any foreign interference, these consultants would not find it, and could not be credited if they claimed they did. They only engage in circular logic, with one aim: more money for them. Not figuring out what's true.
5
I think he should sue. Seriously. Make them SAY they are not news.
5
Well, although I didn't find a quote verbatim with a quick search, consider this: https://www.nytimes.com/1977/12/28/archives/colby-acknowledges-us-press-picked-up-bogus-cia-accounts-tells.html About American journalists working for the CIA as side jobs . . .
4
Love Not Hate How do you figure? It implies no such thing.
4
Love Not Hate That's not what he said. The report is accurate, the earlier predictions of what it would find were not. That's what Corbyn has pointed out. You're counting on people not watching, or not understanding. You're counting on their being too emotional to follow the logic of the report or this video, because of the serious and emotionally upsetting nature of the accusations. You're counting on people believing you, based on their fear they will be the next one accused if they don't shut up, scurry away and hide. (See Arthur Miller, The Crucible.)
4
The very first question is so perfectly formulated, and then . . . the interview gets better.
4
From Aaron's face, I think he is feeling Canadian right now. Heartbreaking story.
4
"To initiate a war of aggression is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."
4
Ben, two memoirs for you: Michael Ratner's and Flint Taylor's. The first comes from a family nearly destroyed by the Holocaust, and the second had two ancestors on the Mayflower.
4
My goodness, ME TOO! I mean, when I think of the people looking forward to some respite from the pandemic, and spring, and instead they have war, it destroys me. At the same time, the West is a gilded cage, and the sheen is fake, it wears off fast. It is neither a free life nor a good one.
4
Yeah, like we're supposed to be envious of money hoarders. No art, no science, no politics, no love. What is it they do? So, they push people around, benefit from the endless wars, and date plastic cat women? Quick! Where can we sign up?
4
Suddenly, embassies mean nothing. Among ALL the other things that now mean nothing . . .
4
Hope you're doing well! ❤
4
YOU need to wake up. You think he made his money founding Tesla? 😂
4
The NYTimes journalist simply never talks to anyone who disagrees with him. I don't think he has to spout this stuff on pain of being fired, but he is subject to (relatively) more subtle pressures.
4
Don't worry. Seriously, don't.
4
This is a very important point. Plus of course, Russia is going to risk being discovered placing utterly useless and superfluous bounties on Americans' heads. Makes sense to me.
4
@johncale1849 True, but on the American spectrum, he is centrist. America is a quasi-fascist country, and has been through most of its existence.
4
@ConstableRinkels This is a new talking point. People are taught so little in the schools (except "correct" attitudes?) that this ends up sounding plausible to them.
4
What I really think about all this is that the elites weally weally miss Jeffrey Epstein. 😢
4
Zelensky may not be a stateman to any degree, but right now he is trying to stay alive. Period.
4
In the US, count on criminals to chop off thumbs.
4
He does need to be held accountable. He can't be allowed to get away with this. It will be everyone else's civil liberties gutted, just watch.
4
@absolute.freedom Unless done with a flurry of paperwork and pseudo "choices."
4
The crazy part is that Fox was often less foul than CNN, MSNBC. (How did that happen???)
4
Steinem makes me think of the old adage, "once CIA, always CIA."
4
Even Angela Davis made that point, very early in the lockdowns. (I don't know how she was on the general question.)

LOL

That rogue states and neo-Nazi militias put the best journalists on kill lists is hardly a surprise, but that the US GOVERNMENT openly supports this is a new low. Anya is a new mother, they put her on a kill list, and the US is fine with that. Feed the war . . . Beyond despicable.
3
@ArmageddonAfterparty I think you are absolutely right. Enough with the inaccuracies. The proponent of a statement has the burden of producing evidence for it. I did think the link I posted added something to the discussion, but it did not contain any such quote.
3
@lilith3953 Thank you. And thanks for beating me to it.
3
There's an element of that all right.
3
Jimmy's first nice house, at age 55, after being a bricklayer for 10 years and suffering a medical bankruptcy. These jerks who needle him for it should be ashamed.
3
Cuba looks so beautiful.
3
How come there is all this technology, and a cult surrounding Technology, didn't prevent the disasters of this century, starting with 9/11 and the Great Recession only 7 years later?
3
I noticed only one feature of the riots that resembled a coup: some police appeared to be affiliated with or infiltrated by right-wing militias and other extremists. This calls for an investigation of them, not more monitoring of us. Who is monitoring the monitors? Who ARE the monitors?
3
Aaron and Glenn together? The day just got better!
3
@jedgrahek1426 The real crime was all the cities with ANTI-Milosevic governments in place that got bombed with depleted uranium. This was widely reported at the time, other NATO countries' peoples were appalled and had anti-war movements, but not the US. All of Montenegro was anti-Milosevic, refugees were fleeing into Montenegro, not away from it. Still got bombed. Sick.
3
@nocturnaljoe9543 Or the ones defaming Julian Assange.
3
Unless you can pierce the armor and convert enough locals to your regime. (Division of the locals, standing alone, will work for a while.) Again, impossible in Afghanistan. But most of any foreign power's influence over another country depends on having collaborators.
3
Not so obvious . . .
3
Integrity. It's a beautiful thing to see.
3
If there is a God, these people will survive.
3
@Will_Moffett You would wager. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
3
19:40 Why would Blinken, ostensibly a diplomat, say he is coming "as a Jew?" Oh, I don't know. Intention to settle?
3
@nope2873 If you believe that, you should ask why no one has been arrested and no international warrants have issued. All the details point to the CIA and MI6 knowing who did it, correct? They had Navalny under heavy surveillance.
3
@nope2873 If Russia did poison Navalny, it would have to be a false false-flag. Because ascribing the poisoning to Russia looks too much like a false flag. (Don't get me wrong, false false-flags do happen.) The straight story is implausible. So, what do you conclude from that? Not to mention the expose here of Bellingcat, which shows that Bellingcat is not a credible source for the information. It's not a credible source in general.
3
Very sorry and reluctant to have to say it, but you're right.
