In my family, everyone looks and lives as though they are 12 to 15 years younger than they are, and . . . exactly as experienced clinicians have remarked about young-looking people, we have essentially no cardiovascular disease (and none at all before age 80), but cancer all over the place. Most people lived through that as well, most with surgery alone, but trust me, it's not desirable in the least.
