@cypriano8763 I posted the official figures. Maybe POC "don't count" in your worldview? Does it disrupt the hate narrative? Well that's inconvenient isn't it?

@ajpend During the time when delta variant is becoming dominant, it's likely to harm others. Vaccinated, asymptomatic carriers are spreading it, this time to younger people and children. Science. By the way, flu vaccines do exactly the same thing. Vaccinated people might get a mild sniffle, and be contagious to everyone who isn't vaccinated.

@leif5046 I like this summary. Very nicely argued. The absence of any sign that the person is aware of Occam's Razor is also a strong indication of a conspiracy theory. If a simple explanation clearly fails to account for all the relevant facts, a much more elaborate one won't, either. Like pre-Copernican astronomy!

@gingerpetrini6205 (1) Everything I've said is evidence based. (2) I have offered to accompany people to their COVID vaccination and to check in on them. (Have you?) (3) Painting the hesitant as reprobates and complete idiots will NOT reassure them. It is simple browbeating, and causes more mistrust. (4) You sound like a grammar school bully. (5) Browbeating does not present facts. People should not let anyone like you persuade them not to get vaccinated. People like you, who refuse to have a real discussion and try to silence others, should have zero influence on anyone's medical decisions, pro or con.
1
@gingerpetrini6205 Wait. How did your name on my notifications feed appear as Kris, but here you are GINGER?
1
@gingerpetrini6205 Like I said, no good can come from talking to you. Can't argue there.
1
@e-spy Yeah, I did, too.

Monopolies that provide essential communications should not have the power of prior restraint. Removing material that violates terms of service is fine. Removing people is a different matter. There has to be a compelling reason. For example, if just about everything they ever post is a TOS violation, to the point where monitoring has been shown to be futile, and much of the material is not protected by the First Amendment, that may be compelling. See Nadine Strossen on hate speech. If any channel transmits practically all of the content of a channel that was properly banned for cause, what is the argument against banning that channel, too? So the content can stay up if someone on it pretends to "disapprove?" Oh brother! Think this through.

You have NO IDEA how lucky you are not to be in the US.
1
The entire world does not play video games.
1
@hunger4wonder Not only that, but there are still people who know "its" is possessive and "it's" is a contraction of "it is" (or "it has"). Crazy.
1
Actually, the vaccination release form that every person who goes in to be vaccinated is given tells you that after reading it, you can refuse vaccination and there will be no change in the healthcare you are entitled to. It says so on the form. Look it up. Or, if you're vaccinated, you got the form.
1
And that's legal.
1
They know what not yet fully approved means. Once it is, we will all have compensation for any injuries under the 1986 law. That will tip the balance for the vast majority of rational people.
1
Remember Geffen's tweet about weathering COVID lockdown on his luxury yacht? "Oops!"
1
@DarkEmpress925 You are correct. The law is clear. This was not a true threat. Much, much stronger and more specific language has been held to be protected speech. Why is there now a small handful of people who want to erode our most basic civil rights?
1
@jwill9237 Not a true threat that can be criminalized consistent with our Bill of Rights. As you know by now.
1
@jwill9237 Blocked from my notifications for wasting my time. 😂
1
Oh Ben, Ben, this is what you did with your Harvard Law degree. Why don't you represent some homeschoolers or something?
1
There is a free-speech crisis at the university. Start with Norman Finkelstein. Supporters of the Palestinians, even those opposed to BDS, have been systematically thrown out of jobs. Don't let these Koch-sters convince you to take your eye off the ball. When students graduate with the kind of DEBT that they do, you better believe there is a free-speech crisis, and it runs deep. Why do you think "Business" has been the single most common major for at least three decades? Unless it leads to CPA, it's usually worth little except to signal docility to corporate employers.
1
Thank you.
1
No non-FDA approved medicine has ever been forced on minors, who usually cannot choose for themselves. I hope older teens will be allowed to choose. In some states, they can't.
1
@hizzlemobizzle Very well stated. ^^^^^^^
1
@Scoobystyle Thank you 🙏
1
@Scoobystyle I appreciate why BCBS reported her, and why they wanted police to check it out. That's reasonable. But now that they KNOW she isn't a threat, why are they still pressing charges? It's a civil matter: drop her from coverage, sue her for intentional infliction of emotional distress of your customer service rep, and leave the criminal justice aparratus out of it. That is the most they could do. But instead . . . this?? Wow, just wow. "Merry Christmas."
1
Are you this easily duped?
1
Liz Skelton Nothing she said can lead to prison for anyone. The substance of her testimony was not firsthand knowledge of what Trump did, but pointed to WHO actually was there and has firsthand knowledge of Trump's actions on 1/6, and needs to be subpoened to testify by Congress -- or a grand jury, if they are going to seriously consider indictments. I've never seen legal news reported worse than it is now. This entire video was nonsense. Pure grift. As a Canadian, this guy doesn't even take the time to get the most basic facts about the US legal system straight.
1
The burden of proving that is on you.
1
But . . . but . . . It has WELLNESS apps! Are you against wellness? /s

1
You're pushing this lurid garbage, too? This is not scientific information, this is propaganda. I'm speechless, too. And I am a vaccine proponent. This is NOT how you address the hesitant. Shameful! Unsubscribed.
1
But Oppenheimer used it, after the first atom bombs were detonated.
1
@carolr4871 I had honestly thought everyone had heard it. I'm sorry.
1
Prove it happened.
1
@kingboobs20 Contempt of court is punished inordinately harshly. But contempt of court is NEVER invoked "just for saying . . . ," etc.
1
So, these are Trumptards, eh? Why do so many countries -- France, Germany, Russia, Japan -- have more vaccine hesitancy than the US does? Why do minorities here hesitate more than whites? Why do poorer people hesitate more than the affluent ones?

THIS
1
I heard Bill Gates was after it. Seems Epstein knew some people . . .
1
This is true. Are you okay with that?
1
I'm so sorry. How are you doing?
1
Sociopaths lose elections? When?
1
@vannakinder352 Amen.
1
@rickb3650 Where do you work where they can't be shredded?
1
@dereka5037 He said legal, and explained why. The risk of being seen as destruction of evidence of illegal discrimination under federal law is one reason; having a stricter law at the state level is permissible.
1
You've covered this story very well. And rationally. I can exhale now.
1
@KL-lt8rc I said no such thing, and this post said no such thing. You keep making up some other person, and attacking that person, whoever they are. Muted. Blocked. Tootles. Spit your venom on your own time, you get the last saliva.
1
ALL of the same is true of the "Russia did it!" conspiracists. Russia did not make people vote for Trump. The deluded people you see interviewed at CPAC made Trump president.
1
It's called a gig economy for a reason. If money is the measure of value, how can anyone begrudge her?
1
For most of this century, in many EU countries severe harassment on the job can give rise to criminal charges. See what happened to the Orange Telecom CEO in France. Employees committed suicide, and the CEO went to prison.
